How do you carry 10kg of gold around? Much easier 1btc.
With 10 kilos of gold; my servants will carry it.

I have spent over $800 in BTC this week alone. With Overstock taking coins I kinda went on a binge. I see that FedEx just delivered my new gunsafe! Can't wait to get home. I also bought a Dyson vacuum, a coat, dehumidifier,.... and some other stuff. Overstock.com was smart to beat everyone to the market. There is a lot of pent-up demand out there.

2014-2016 A new decentralized monetary system is created by a known software company that will outmatch bitcoin in general quality. 99,9% of funds flow from bitcoin to this new coin. This is the only thing I am quite sure of Hard to predict when will it happen though. There might be a new more compelling coin someday, but it is not going to come from a software company. One of the most important things about bitcoin is it's open source nature. No proprietary software can ever compete with bitcoin because of trust. I would not give a penny for some company's stupid coupons. Coupons that they control the value and supply of? Please.

Sorry for my overreaction. But scammers spend all day here searching for "paypal". They know that using paypal means it will be easy to rip you off. If I had a paypal account I might buy coins from my best friend, but there are so many options that are better, cheaper, safer. It's the worst way to get BTC, IMO.

50% in BTC seems very high to me man. I personally believe in bitcoins future, but it is still a highly risky "investment". People invest or speculate with bitcoin all the time. That does not make it a good idea. You could get burned here. If you have thought about all that and still want to do it then here is what I would do. Get the price of the car you want and exchange that much $USD for BTCBTC. Now start your search for a good deal. If bitcoin is in a growth mode (it mostly is) then by the time you are ready to pull the trigger you should have more than you started with. Buy and keep the change. If the price starts to tank, withdraw and minimize your losses. It is risky, but this is how I buy things with BTC, and it has worked out well.
P.S. I love my Bimmer! BMW makes the best cars in the world, IMO.

Are you high or something?
LOL. I swear I was thinking the same thing. Honestly, where do people get this stuff? By this logic Obama would already have given you my land, gold, money, stocks, etc. And in the case of bitcoin how would anyone know who has bitcoins anyway? In fact the estimate of what percent is held by what percent is a very, very rough guess.

If it is just using a radio implanted into the PC then this is not a big deal. The computer would have to be specifically built to have this ability. A spookier technology, that has been around a while, monitors the radiated signal from each keystroke. In this system an antenna is aimed at the computer. It may or may not be connected to a network. Each time the user hits a key, a tiny bit of EM energy is broadcast. Using software on a computer attached to the antenna. The signal is turned back into characters and the keystrokes are revealed.

I would not even consider buying anything except bitcoin. Having said that, litecoin does have a following.

I was just talking to them and they asked me to provide: btc-e id: btc-e.support: Pass: btc-e.support: Email: btc-e.support: Pass: btc-e.support: Depposit via ? Why do they need my btc-e password AND my email address password? and the email address they gave me to respond to was btc-e_support@hotmail.comI'm not giving them my passwords over skype, or at all. Neither would I. Your email password? WTF?

I think they are all going to suck at the moment. Crypto currency is exploding, and I don't think they have caught up to the man-power requirements yet.
I'll second that. There is a lot of poor service among exchanges, even the legit ones. Right now I like campbx for Americans. But they do drop balls sometimes.

... Personally I think if you can enjoy life and live in a place that has good infrastructure and services then it is a pretty good thing no matter what the supposed political system is.
Amen. Wealth seems to fix everything. Maybe it makes governments more confident and less fearful when they are on top? When I was a kid China was more like North Korea is today. Now it has vestiges of the "Mao suit" culture, but is much more of a normal nation.

So they are not communists? Where are you getting that from?
Not Wikipedia - what is your definition of communist? That would perhaps be a good start (and if you are talking about China today it has absolutely nothing to do with Carl Marx). I don't think we disagree here. China is officially communist. However they have been drifting toward capitalism for years. I guess it is a mixed economy? And I don't think communism is a bad thing necessarily. It just hasn't worked in any pure form. Whatever they have, it will likely be the economy of the 21st. century.

We are all the foundation we all own Bitcoin.

It's not the western media that says that. It is China.
I read it in western media articles about China every day - so this is actually *western propaganda". How about you try googling: "communist china" :abcnews Chinese are not confused and why would the western press report what the Chinese government "calls itself" if they only "report the truth"? It *is* the western media that says it (and surely they should ignore what China says as they are always happy to attack China over Tibet, Taiwan or Xinjiang). I find it funny that westerners are so sure that only the Chinese (and other non-western countries that don't follow their political systems) are *brainwashed*. So they are not communists? Where are you getting that from? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_Party_of_China

I think you also need quotes around the word media when talking about the Chinese media. Totalitarian governments don't do media, they do propaganda.
Had those medias been the mouthpiece types I would have long ignored them, there are a few news outlets in China which withstanded multiple government attacks(Editor-in-Chief sacked and prisoned, etc) and stick to their POVs. Also China is strictly authoritarian rather than totalitarian, or I wouldn't even be posting here. Authoritarian is a better word then. Still the press is not free in China. Strange that I keep reading about "Communist China" in (at least nearly) all western media (no-one who I know that is Chinese thinks that China is communist - do you?).
I think they are unsure of what they are. The money is just to good to let pass. On paper they are a one party system, and that party is the communist party. It's not the western media that says that. It is China.

Where does it say Amazon or Target? It isn't even up to date about Overstock taking BTC.
It says it "using gyft" which is a pretty stupid statement by the author. Terrible research there. :-) Oh, that is weak.
