6101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you sell right away or wait? on: May 07, 2018, 09:45:36 PM
well selling immediately after the tokens are listed on exchanges
is a very popular thing to do, there are a lot of people who solely
buy ICO tokens for this purpose.

Personally I dont do this especially if I trust the ICO and look
forward to the future. I am happy to hold the tokens for the
long term.
6102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are the newest critics of Bitcoin. (From CNBC News) on: May 07, 2018, 06:45:49 PM
when rich guys tell you to short something.. those rich guys already have shorted it. and are now wanting others to react so that they can do the opposite

EG when a rich guy says sell.. he already sold and wants othrs to now sell so he can buy at a discount
then after the rich guy buys at a discount. they will then and only then tell others to start buying. for the price rise. so the richguys can then sell

And whats really annoying is that the markets usually react to what these
people say about bitcoin and crypto because they have a loyal following.

For me I dont care what their opinions are about bitcoin or crypto because
in the long run they wont make a difference.
6103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin invention : on: May 07, 2018, 05:27:38 PM
Consider WHEN bitcoin was invented, directly after the last financial crash
in 2007/2008. We all suffered at the hands of the banks because we were
and still are to a degree reliant on them.

With bitcoin we can take back control of our finances, there is no need to
trust anyone or any other institution with our finances.

6105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: April 30, 2018, 06:28:18 AM
So this projects also dont have cards right now? As far as I remember they had cards in Europe, Turkey and Israel... and now?

Yes, at the moment they don't have a working card since the Wavecrest shutdown. We are all waiting for good news, hopefully soon.

So this project has become like Centra? Why price still high than if they dont have nothing? Without cards this tokens useless

Have you read previous pages in this thread?
Are you aware that the tenx banking license is still pending?
6106  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain in medicine on: April 26, 2018, 08:45:13 PM
Im not sure if this has been done already but I think blockchain technology
would be suited to the issuing, tracking and administering prescriptions.

Also in recording an individual's medication and medical records.

Would the technology help in correct filing and reduce/eliminate
incorrect filing and/or lost files?
6107  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-24] Bitcoin value is on the verge of another 'price explosion' on: April 24, 2018, 09:02:51 PM
I actually think the hype is starting again.

We have been languishing sub 8K for a number of weeks and as soon as
we see some positive movement upwards there is general positivity.

I think there is a tentative move forward and there is an awareness of a
potential "bull trap"
6108  Economy / Economics / Re: Prices will some day fluctuate less? on: April 24, 2018, 05:17:03 PM
The way i see it is that as long as bitcoin is traded on exchanges by people only
interested as an investment the price will fluctuate so i cannot see this scenario ending.
6109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin fees on: April 24, 2018, 05:11:05 PM
Correct, bitcoin fees have been massively reduced, there are coins like
Bitcoin cash, litecoin dogecoin which are competitive and people are
still using them but with segwit and lightning on bitcoin its cheaper and
quicker to move bitcoin than it was before.
6110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sweden Officially Backs a Cryptocurrency and Establishes It As Their Official Co on: April 24, 2018, 05:56:02 AM
that is a really great news for the whole crypto world. i am very curious which coin will be there, but i think and hope it will be bitcoin (or eth). do you have any links to confirm your news?

it is neither of those!
OP is trying to be vague about it for some reason. the real news is here: www.businessinsider.com/sweden-cryptocurrency-e-krona-riksbank-2018-1
and it is saying they are creating their own cryptocurrency which is only based on bitcoin and the blockchain technology.
and contrary to what the article says Sweden is not at all the first country! they are at least the 5th one. there is already Venezuela with their own cryptocurrnecy called Petro, there is India with their own called Lakshmi,...

Yes what a vague op. Some people need to realise that no country is going to adopt an
existing decentralised currency, instead they are going to create their own which they
can issue, control and regulate themselves.
6111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are you gonna buy ? BTC LTC ETH ? other on: April 22, 2018, 06:10:58 AM
I have recently been doing a lot of trading and have gotten a variety of tokens and some btc and ether don't what to do just yet and holding for too long isn't really working too well, how can i minimize my losses? reinvestment options?

Minimize losses: stop loss.
Maximize chances: hold utility coins.

Bitcoin. Litecoin. Ethereum. This is exactly the order of priority for me in crypto. Bitcoin will always and should always be more than half of my portfolio. Everything else relies on the success of the leader. Altcoins for me I always love Litecoin as one of the oldest projects. I still do not support Ethereum but I am holding it for a few years.

Look at utility first (then, therefore, Monero should be in that list).
This is exactly what I wanted to post.
There have been many threads supporting the idea of holding at least
50% of a portfolio in bitcoin because everything centeres around it.
When bitcoin climbs the alts follow and the same with fallbacks.

As for altcoins, the "reliables" are the ones refered to as utility coins
these are established and have a working product with a big backing
and they are indeed Litecoin, ethereum (monero and dash)
6112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ERC20 Token Successes? on: April 22, 2018, 06:01:54 AM
I just checked my portfolio this morning and my EOS holding is showing
an inceease of +47991.51% since my aquisition in July 2017, thats healthy!
6113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ERC20 Token Successes? on: April 21, 2018, 11:03:02 PM
I have 2 which i deem successful with one being more successful than the other.
Golem for me is showing more than 9000% increase since i got it in my portfolio
and Augur shiwing 95% increase.
6114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: April 21, 2018, 07:51:10 PM
Im hokding Dimcoin since the ICO and I really lost touch with the project.
Its nice to see some progress surfacing on developments. Listing on new
exchanges is always a good move forward, the key for dimcoin holders is
patience.
6115  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Institutional Demand for Bitcoin and Crypto Resurges on: April 21, 2018, 06:12:49 PM
Looks like institutional investors believe they are going to see a big return
for their investment. Looks like they are hoping for at least a +60% return.

Im happy to see the positive belief  Wink
6116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dealing with Bitcoin or Crypto haters. on: April 21, 2018, 05:59:25 PM
The thread title depicts notions of rounding up the haters and doubters
and subjecting them to therapy sessions and such in order to "deal" with them.

Let them hate and doubt, time will "deal" with them and they will realise their
errors. We have to accept others opinions.
6117  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [2018-04-20]Kraken Is Not Going To Provide Information About Exchange To Regulat on: April 20, 2018, 10:58:17 PM
They may be just making a point but i like it all the same.
The majority of us are here for what bitcoin stands for, an alternative to the
controlled centralised fiat banking system. This also means we dont like our
crypto movements to be scrutinized, so well done Kraken.

I wonder though how long they will hokd out?
6118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just $320/week gains to hit $20k by end of 2018 on: April 20, 2018, 10:45:16 PM
Its too simple to make such an analysis. We all know the markets are volatile ans as long as
there is trading and speculation they will continue to be volatile.

Consider also that crypto is very news sensitive, it can sway either way in reaction to news,
positively or negatively.
6119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Brian Kelly Predicts Bitcoin Price Will Increase $25,000 by the Year End on: April 19, 2018, 07:13:22 PM
No he is not the first high profile financier to come out and make a prediction.
And this thread really belongs in the 'speculation' board because it is just that.
We could see that prediction fulfilled in 6 months but overall it is possible
within the next 12 to see a big gain to around 25k
6120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Had a talk with my son today about my bitcoins on: April 19, 2018, 06:35:59 PM
I would have thought any age below 12 would not be a good idea
but with hindsight and the op i realise the younger generations
are really digitally clued in, they are growing up in a digital age
and are surrounded by it.

Well done to the op
