621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your view on current crypto market? on: January 03, 2020, 06:49:59 AM
What's your view on current crypto market?

Market is quite stronger than before. Although there are no specific changes, no big pumps and dumps either but at least the market holds to a specific range of price for a couple of weeks. Maybe the market are just preparing for a fresh start to pump, following the incoming event which is halving which is about to happen at mid year, so, I don't think that market would be going way more down after the event, not quite sure but it remains stable for a long time isn't it a good news?
622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Outperforms Every Asset this Decade, Will 2020s Tell the Same Story? on: January 03, 2020, 06:30:21 AM
Bitcoin was indeed dominating over other cryptocurrencies since the day it was born. It is why I think that in the next decade, there's a good chance that they will dominate once again because of the massive adoption of institutions, banks, etc., than any other cryptos out there.

I still regretted when I ignored Bitcoin years ago. You know how that feels, right? I mean, it's my fault that I didn't believe in Bitcoin because I didn't understand everything back then until I'm starting to get serious about it in 2017.

Hands down to Bitcoin as it outperforms any other asset like no other.

Man, you don't have to regret. It is not your fault though. That is not your responsibility to look what bitcoin is years ago. Just be thankful that at least you knew it now rather than not, that would be way much more painful. Many people has the same experience, even I. I knew a bit about bitcoin back then but I chose not to study more of it as I have much bigger responsibilities, till someone introduced me more to what really bitcoin is. Well, it is quite regretful but I knew myself that I have to do my responsibilities back then. I am just thankful that at least I knew about it, rather than totally not.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is less decentralized than BTC and ETH, but that’s not necessarily bad on: January 03, 2020, 06:10:23 AM
...snip...
Pretty much this. Ripple and their coin XRP is highly centralized destroying the purpose of a cryptocurrency. The basis of decentralization i.e mining is not really present in Ripple and the way they centralize and trying to gain power in the cryptocurrency space is not really good.

Either way centralized coins like XRP and the ecosystem like Ripple doesn't have a long way to go unless the real purpose of bitcoin starts to emerge on the market. I am a Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero supporter and so well I do hate other coins as well. All 3 of them have a purpose in the cryptocurrency space and are highly decentralized when compared to a coin like XRP. On top of that, they are gaining interest from banks which isn't really pleasing for crypto enthusiasts who does hate the centralized mechanisms of banks.

Yes, basically it destroys the main purpose of crypto. Though it has own flaws we still couldn't deny the fact that bitcoin, ethereum or even monero has its own negativity. But at least these mentioned crypto are all performing well in the market. I couldn't say more as the answer would more subjective, because in the end, choosing among the crypto currencies still depends on the individual's preference, and the benefits of the crypto has to offer that surely will fit to benefit them the most.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 will be a material year for crypto. What do you think? on: January 03, 2020, 05:26:52 AM
Honestly I think BTC will make progress , not only in price progress but also  technical development will be happened. And we, most of the crypto lover dont focus upon that point. It is Lightening network. The core team is working on it. The team will implement new changes to support basic multi paths payment. There will be 2 new technologies, splicing and dual funding. And both of them will improve the user experience.
And halving will make mining more expensive and production cost will correlates the ultimate market value of btc.

Looking forward to this event. I wanna see a world wide adoption, surely every transaction would be going convenient. The only hindrance btc get, is the government itself that prevents the rapid expansion of mass adoption of btc, if government are going to be more considerable I don't think price would still go down in a serious condition, nah just a random thoughts of mine. Nevertheless, I just hope there will be no conflicts about this LN as it going near to be deployed.
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Recap for the year 2019 on: January 03, 2020, 05:10:38 AM
I'm not asking recap on what's happens in the Cryptocurrency industry, but on how 2019 made an impact in your lifestyle, motivation and financial status, is it positive or negative, are you full of hope or losing it, what is your assessment this coming 2020.

Kinda late, but 2019 been somehow good to me, I just kinda get some problems but I was thankful that I overcome it. Unfortunately, I am not able to buy any expensive stuff, a travel goals, but what was been wonderful for me is that I did helped my family especially my mom to buy those medicines. Well anyway, I am looking forward this 2020, I wanna achieve something beyond my thoughts, something in a far more great extent. And I will be working hard from now on.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright never understood anything about bitcoin on: January 03, 2020, 04:45:45 AM
I've never seen anyone that hates bitcoin as much as Craig Wright, 99% of all is predictions is putting him to shame and yet he doesn't back down Cheesy so hilarious, his latest prediction is self destruction of bitcoin by Jan 1 and he said no single bitcoin will remain by year ending, check out the full article here
https://cryptoslate.com/fatal-flaw-set-to-destroy-bitcoin-on-jan-1-according-to-craig-wright/

Trying to be more smarter than Satoshi? Man, he's crazy. No one knows when at what would be price of bitcoin to a certain date yet he claimed that it would going to crash and disappeared? He's more crazy than McAfee, I never think that anybody would be doing this so, he's just causing panic. For people would sell before bitcoin goes disappeared just because of his unreal claims. What a silly man, he is. I just hope that no one should mind his claim, especially the new comers 'cause if they did, they'll probably deal with a big problem.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jessie Vargas vs Mikey Garica on: January 03, 2020, 04:20:11 AM
You're a bit harsh to Garcia, you somehow underestimating him. Although Vargas already fought HOF Manny Pacquiao that doesn't mean he already got the capacity of winning over Garcia, Mikey Garcia got a 33 % career knockout ratio, holding a record of (39-1, 30 KOs), man his punch power were explosive. While Vargas holds a record of (29-2-2, 11 KOs), fair enough for a professional. They aren't far enough but I don't think this fight would be easy to Vargas, as he got a formidable opponent there. I'd like to bet on Garcia, still looking forward to his career.
628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be decentralized if the Internet is centralized on: January 03, 2020, 03:48:23 AM
As your argument says so, Bitcoin is also centralized partially in nodes located in China. Apply the same logic/analogy to internet. These partial centralization is only among ISPs, that conform to a gateway to reach other parts of the world. Without them, it would be hard to lay your own cables and build infrastructure that would interconnect all the Bitcoin nodes. And even we are partially 'centralized' because of ISPs purpose to run our network, they still provide us freedom to what we do and connect to on the internet since it is our right, and doesn't really affect the decentralization of the network.
Yes, I agree with this man. Although they play a major part in providing data that doesn't mean they are the authority itself of the INTERNET. It is just that it would be very hard to drop long cable just to connect to facebook's, amazon's or whatever it is. What they control is that the stuff we can manipulate and see on their platform but not the INTERNET itself, and ISPs are just trying to control the flow (might be speed) we received in different household who subscribe in such ISPs services.

So may be there is nothing need to be worried about? Bitcoin is decentralized as it is, and internet is decentralized.

630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 - Set your Target and Make your Plans on: January 02, 2020, 10:02:35 AM
The irony here is that it is already tough to obtain 1 bitcoin right now. If time can be reverted back, I won't even have a second thought of buying in exchange of pizza. Anyway, time really flies as much as I hope to earn a piece of time prevents me of doing it so, you know I am just an average human doesn't even have a capacity of doing like what others did, I may earn bitcoin at a quite decent amount for someone like me but to earn a piece of it, and considering the fact that halving is near around I don't think I could even reach 1 bitcoin, but still I will be working my ass-off, to earn as much as I could.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel more lucky than usual when it's New Year's. on: January 02, 2020, 09:30:00 AM
I lived in this misconception, once before the New Year I had a good profit, and it happened again 2 years in a row.
I thought I was more lucky when the New Year.
Of course this is not true, the casino never changes under the influence of the social factor.
The casino is the same as always no change.
Or maybe there is?

You're just lucky, I wonder if you still have a good profit yesterday? 'Cause if you did then go take a big shot every new year, you might be able to buy some brand new car with it  Grin, or who knows, luckily a decent house.

Anyway you're right man, you must be lucky back then, Casinos aren't changing and isn't always in our favor. It is still a gamble when you bet you're just getting the half chance of winning twice the same date, and so you just felt that at such date you're lucky when you're really not in the first place. And sometimes that's the problem of gamblers especially when they are in their winning streak, then would bet big, then get lose.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is your new year Resolution? on: January 02, 2020, 09:08:28 AM
So, now 2019 is ended, what is your new year resolution guys? What changes everyone should follow in 2020?

Leave your opinions!

Nothing particular about. Mistakes are inevitable as it need for us to grow up, and probably learn from to at least lessen potential mistakes. What am I going to this 2020 is that I will be more productive than what I am 2019, will grind more. And would look for another opportunities I can get.  I want to improve my portfolio because I want to invest on something long term, I don't think that 2020 is enough 'cause it would probably take a couple of years and worse might not be able to achieve at all. But what is certain right now is that I have to at least take an action to that.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Would Be Your 2020 Stand Out Crypto Investment ? on: January 02, 2020, 08:45:49 AM
What would be your stand out crypto investment for 2020.

Nothing that stands out though. I'll just keep on my investment line, and would probably try the others considering that they might worth investing with. But I am afraid not as some project would be going the same as bunch of promising projects out there but won't be going nowhere in the long run.

An existing token or coin?

Coin probably? 'Cause I have just a little bit of hope with token as the benefits isn't as good as like investing into some coin.

Quote

An upcoming ICO or IEO?

STOs, I'll go with it. However, going back to the choices above I may be going with IEO as for more satisfactory concerns as they already listing in an exchange (though they are the same 'cause in the end they're going to scam people around then run away), because ICO might just turn out to be shitcoin waiting to dump. Won't be wasting my time with it.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we review 2019? Please leave few things you achieved or lost in crypto on: January 02, 2020, 07:46:45 AM
Generally we want to learn from you. Its important we review the year and probably correct our mistakes in 2020.

Regards.

2019 is not really a great year for Cryptocurrency investors and more so for bounty hunters there's hardly a great project to talk about compared to 2017 but it's a much better year than the previous year 2018, 2019 is a good preparation for 2020 and we can analyze old coins from 2019 to see if you have a good chance to make a profit for 2010.

Fair enough than 2018.

Anyway going back to the topic itself, I don't gained as much as I expect to, just got a decent portfolio back in 2019 for me to freshly start 2020 compared to 2018 where I even think of getting away to crypto but I supposed not to hoping for a better settlement in the incoming and following years. What I am thankful in 2019 is that, I keep myself on my track to achieve this personal of goal of mine, and I hope that I won't this 2020 because of much more responsibilities 'cause I grow older but I hope that it won't have affect my crypto space life.
635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin experience in 2019 on: January 02, 2020, 07:21:11 AM
I also not make you to investing all of your money to bitcoin. We need to manage our money to investing a many kind of cryptocurrency. You can choose 2-5 or whatever you want. Its to avoid losing all of your money. So don't put your eggs in one basket.

Putting your money into different cryptocurrencies is NOT diversification. Most coins and tokens are completely dependent and moves along with bitcoin's price.

You want to diversify? Invest in a business, or other assets in a different industry.

I am afraid that it wouldn't be as good as investing into crypto though it is riskier over the other one but the opportunity or the benefits that I could get from investing to crypto is somehow far from the benefit I would get than investing to some businesses with such a low rate of income return. How about gambling? Either way I am betting when I invest, not totally different from the other option. Best to stick where I knew I would get the benefit the most.
636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin never reaches a new ATH? on: January 02, 2020, 07:00:26 AM
As it's said, "Patience is a virtue". We as "hodlers" of Bitcoin should be patient in order to see better results in the future. But, what if Bitcoin never reaches a new ATH? Then, I'm afraid that most people "hodling" Bitcoin will lose all of their investment in the long run.

What are your thoughts? Huh

That's completely a not-so-good mindset. Intelligent hodlers aren't settling for one option. You have to deal with bitcoin's price volatility, Waiting for a new ATH was somehow a good option but it wasn't as good as selling coins accordingly to the price movements as it gives you more options to take rather than just waiting for a once-settlement. In addition to this, it takes too much time (of course) that in such time length you might have probably earned some good-to-go profits, lastly you didn't have any piece of idea when ATH will come, right? What's much worse with this is that"what if Bitcoin never reaches a new ATH?" Then what would you do? as you don't have any sort of options or plan b.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why you need to store your money in your hands! on: January 02, 2020, 06:11:04 AM
This is probably an unpopular opinion here.

I actually support the move of freezing accounts with BTC's coming from suspected illegal sources. There was an instance when Binance freezed an account because it belongs to a hacker. During that time, everyone's praising Binance for doing their responsibility in fighting hacks. I don't remember anyone rasing concern about a centralized exchange blocking a users fund.

I agree. They did what must be done, and freezing accounts is good to raise awareness for people who would dare to do illegal stuff. I see no mistake with Binance aim. Though the thing is that if you got to be suspected for such activities, and that's probably the downside. But here's the catch as what majority here told about, try mixing it prior to exchanging it though there might be some suspicion but at least you got pretty much clean coin there.

The market will begin recovery soon, don't be too smart wanting to cashout on every profit you see, it might make you lose future profits.

Profit is profit. Take it and never regret. Do not be too greedy and hang on to sweet words like the OP. You will get burned if you get too optimistic about the market.

It will stabbed you in the back later on. Anyway, I totally agree with this man, just take the profit and never ever regret, feel jealous about someone's profit? Don't mind as you both have different approach though. And you might be needing the money that's why you cash it out, right? Don't hold back to yourself especially when you knew it is something crucial in your side, otherwise you might be wasting it. The irony here is that I am giving advice, when I first told that we have different approach lol. Anyway, happy new year to everyone.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee in Trouble ? on: January 02, 2020, 04:58:55 AM
I have known mccafee for a long time and I do not think he is in trouble

During the days of docademic and others, he did likewise
It is though a challenge to investors to get their information right instead of relying on predictions

Crypto investing is not sports betting

even if he was totally wrong with his predictions, he will just laugh it off afterwards. he's not holding your investments so why would he be in trouble? you have all the freedom to do what you need to do with your money. he will not answer to any of your failures or winnings. he's just ordinary person that can give as many predictions as he can. he's just using his old popularity to gain supporters especially now that he has his own DEX.

Definitely right there man, I don't even think that he got a piece of care about complains that "he got this wrong and such", he might be doing it out of habit. He's been in this game for a long time, and it doesn't bothered him that he claims tons of mistake as he's already used to, he ain't crazy though. He got a big name, and it is just easy for him to cover up his mistakes. Lastly, investing would still depend on us, you're a fool if you're depending on a popular people out there claiming what they think towards crypto that in the first place no one even knows.
640  Other / Meta / Re: This is my story in 2019, what is your story ? on: December 31, 2019, 09:21:59 AM
This 2019 is somehow been a good year to me outside and inside this forum. I don't have any wonderful story like a sweet travel goals, acquired some expensive stuff, I don't have any of that to tell. But what was been wonderful and I am grateful of is that I've been a big help to my family especially to the shortcomings I had fulfilled. I may be still a student but still I got my own way of providing my family needs such as the medicines I myself bought from my own money for my mom who got sick last November, and thankfully she got broke free from it. And I was thankful because this forum was here for me to have such kind opportunity not everybody could ever have. I am beyond thankful, and I am looking forward to to contribute and provide some self - improvement to give back to the opportunities I get here.
