LOL, I'm there with you B. I've got various buy orders all over the place from 0.005 to 0.009. My hope is that they will never get the chance to fill! Although, part of me wishes I could snatch up some more cheap $UNO!

 Cheesy

but for real, though, the guy i REALLY want to hear from, and who's opinion would hold the most weight with me would be Blazr2.  that guy is the real deal.

+1000

After all Blazr2 is to UNO what Satoshi is to Bitcoin
AGREED

In considering any major change, I have always found it very helpful to list the pros and cons. Does anyone have a link to what side chains are? What has been explained here briefly, seems to be a typical bell or whistle that really does nothing to add value. However, I want to learn more.

One thing to remember, these types of discussions are highly stressful. Let's all remember the greater community and remain respectful at all times.

In my opinion, one of UNO's greatest strengths is that it is not like everything else. I believe people are beginning to see that and interest is growing organically.

I also agree with a previous post, in which someone suggested Mr Weiner come into the forum and explain what the benefits and detriments of the side chain are, in his opinion.

The UNO community here are mostly long-term hodlers of this coin. In the event of a malicious dump on an exchange, most people in this thread would probably individually act in parallel to execution of the Core-tanium project by purchasing as much cheap UNO as they could get their hands on!

That's the function side of it. Certainly, from a psychological perspective (which is where I understand you're coming from here, IMZ), I like the idea of Coretanium being sort of like a sign on the front fence that says,
_______________________
UNOBTANIUM MARKET
Warning: this exchange is
protected by Coretanium.

DUMPERS WILL BE NEUTRALIZED!

I'll be low key today: the National Park up the road is in flames, and the house-clearing here is wreathed in smoke.

@ Benefactor: my apologies. I missed this post:

"Core-tanium should be used AFTER a dump, not before.  Thoughts?"

My naive thought was that Core-tanium funds would be used to -- remember last December? when Uno's price was drifting down to the .5 mark? About there: that is, in a situation in which the community as a whole wants to keep the price from dropping below a clearly-understood point.

What does everyone think?
@IMZ I hope that you and your house are safe!

In giving BTC to this project, I give freely with no anticipation of receiving it back.  That being said, I had envisioned the facility working in a fashion to stabilize UNO in the event of a potato-man attack.  The community agrees to protect a floor at X and a member who is a trusted and proven trader takes action to do so.

What to do with that UNO?
-Sell it back via UNO-Ex to replenish the facility
-Sell it overtime at on an exchange after stabilization occurs to replenish the facility
-Use it as bounties to solve problems (ie Android wallet)

just my 0.002 UNO

That's a lot of good reading IMZ!

Here's a good quote about sound money:

“In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value. If there were, the government would have to make its holding illegal, as was done in the case of gold.”

Alan Greenspan (Believe it or not!)

Does that mean governments will make Unobtanium illegal since it's a safe store of value?  Wink At the time of said quotation, it did not yet exist...

Cragv, thanks for the technical assistance! I really appreciate it!

I'm not very good with computers, but I'd like to add the UNO-EX trader link in my signature like IMZ has. Could someone post what text needs to be implemented to make that happen in the sig?

Thanks!

I know I say it all the time, but we have the best community here in the UnoVerse!

I don't know exactly, but about 300 to 500 years?

Who will wait that long.
Wait that long for what? Mine AND buy now from and exchange or the in-house trading group...

No NXT wallet to hold DVC yet, but I will start the download and see how it goes, I hear it can be a real pain in the arse!

Guy

If you have trouble with the NXT wallet, post here. Others did and received support to get up and running. That's what our community is all about!

someone sell UNO on Bittrex

Blazin, if that's your big-arse order, why don't you just buy up what's for sale right now? It's not priced appreciably higher than what your offer is.  Anyway, in six months when UNO is at 0.1 BTC you'll be really glad that you did!

thanks bro I am looking forward to seeing where this coin takes me...my gut tells me something good about this coin ...
UNO is more brains than gut...

Also, have you ventured over to the in-house trading thread at www.tinyurl.com/UNO-EX ?

Please read the OP to see how it works and then put in an offer there for a big position.

To talk about an epic dump, paycoin takes the cake! How do people keep falling for the glitz and glamour of the bells and whistles?

UNO just needs to keep doing what it does best and stay the slow and steady course. It's amazing how many people are beginning to get on board. Patience is key in this game. Through attrition, we may be the last coin around when the dust finally settles.

 Cool

Gawd!! I have heard of/seen Unattainium, Uranium, Titanium, Bitinium, and Latium. Clearly, the Latin suffix '~um' is a chief ingredient of cheap knock-offs.

If we extrapolate this logic, we conclude that the best possible name for a coin would be 'Cheap-Knock-off-ium.' [Innovatively innovative. Total IPO. Merchant agreements already in place with . . . a number of Really Big Companies. Send all your Bitcoin NOW to Brandnewbitcointalkaddressguy @

Guy, thanks for the positive feedback, I left trust feedback for you as well.

@IMZ looks like you need to give out a new gold star to Guy!  Wink

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but UNO is not the same as UNB.

The thread for UNB is here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=539945.0

Personally have had no interaction with UNB, but a quick perusal of the thread gives one the impression of a typical pump and dump?
