621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people buying NFT on: August 25, 2021, 03:57:40 PM
I just wonder why people buying NFT artworks like cryptopunks. I am not against NFT and I love it. I actually own some NFT games accounts like CB, Axie, Dpets because I am earning from it.. But for NFT artworks can you tell me what is the benefits. And why some of the people buying it?

I guess its the hype that was driving the NFT craze today, and because it's a new trend in crypto that's why as usual many people/investors are speculating/investing in it like always done by crypto investors, some NFT artworks are looking simple but it was sold in a higher price that's why for me it's hard to guess base on what we see, I find NFT Games are more good and suitable like Axie compared to the plain NFT artwork that just made for collection.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Foundation Officially Relaunches on: August 23, 2021, 01:00:15 PM
I saw some news today that the Dogecoin Foundation is officially coming back after several years of silence. The foundation is set to support core developers and projects benefiting the meme-inspired cryptocurrency DOGE.

I think this is a good news and a good sign for the Doge to rise up again, what are your thoughts about this news guys? buy or wait again?.

I think they were planning something big that's why they want to cement the Dogecoin relevance in the crypto market, I was wondering why Vitalik Buterin is onboard as an adviser, what a turn of events, Is Elon Musk has a role in that reestablishment of the Dogecoin Foundation, and what about Mr. Palmer they already dump his Dogecoin Bag and now bitterly accusing Dogecoin this is exciting to follow in a couple of weeks, months, years and let us see what will happen.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is EOS dead? on: August 23, 2021, 12:38:37 PM
IMO, I think EOS is not dead it was still alive and competing in the market, EOS currently traded at $5.62 with a 24hour trading volume of $147million, and base on that data it's far from dead yet, I believe the reason why EOS was very silent nowadays because it was not mentioned anymore in the news, no latest press released, and even no big marketing events to attract attention that's why EOS was dead silent.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Price Prediction – Will DOGE Price Hit $1 in 2021? on: August 23, 2021, 12:16:38 PM
This Dogecoin Price Prediction 2021 article depends on specialized investigation alone. Underneath, you will see the key measurements that we have thought about after concocting our DOGE value examination and expectation.

I don't think Dogecoin price will reach one dollar in 2021, or even in 2022, What I believe is the price today will dip down further in the yearend of 2021, Its because the Dogecoin pump is not based on organic demand and the previous pump was due to Elon Musk shilling and now that the hype was cooled down the price was steady rise and fall Anyway today's Doge price was playing at $0.32 in Binance so it's up a little bit but I don't know how long it can sustain that price level.
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of cryptocurrencies are fraudulent on: August 21, 2021, 03:09:46 PM
In a recent speech at the annual PNWER meeting held in Montana, Neil Kashkari, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, sharply criticized cryptocurrencies, stating that "95 percent of cryptocurrencies are fraud, deceptive advertising and noise," and he also said he had a more positive view of cryptocurrencies in 2015. Kashkari also referred to the large number of altcoins and called them "garbage coins."

I believe it is true and that was a sad truth, But we should also consider that many of those so-called garbage coins were still thriving till now? and maybe we are asking what was the reason why they still thriving? Thats because many people are still patronized it and willing to gamble and speculate even it has no real use case and utilization, even it was only a meme coin shill by popular people, thats how the crypto industry works full of red flags and we should accept it as a part of this industry.

On the other hand, Neil Kashkari was a president of a Centralized Bank (Federal Reserve Bank) that's why I'm doubting her opinion in terms of fairness because Centralized and Decentralized is always the opposite direction that's why I believe her opinion was questionable and obviously one sided.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The altcoin of the week on: August 21, 2021, 02:42:57 PM
I guess there are too many of them to mention, But I have seen performed much in terms of price is the XRP, despite that it was heavily bombarded by FUD recently, but look at its price now it's above one dollar. other than XRP was the BNB, it also moving up, and ADA of course a notable gainer this week.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria to launch its crypto currency after crypto ban on: August 20, 2021, 02:21:06 PM
IMO, I think if Nigeria will successfully launch its own cryptocurrency, I believe it is a form of stable coin or CBDC, backed by its own fiat called *Naira, and it's not the same as the popular cryptocurrencies in the crypto market. Just like the digital *Yuan of China is a stable coin or CBDC so its value was pegged on its own native fiat currency.

And for me, it's boring and out of purpose, because the main reason why many people have using cryptocurrencies is for their own requirements like investment, trading, etc., and not just purposely use to buy goods and merchandise, unlike the CBDC's that was made for that sole purpose for payment that's why CBDC's will not be able to replace the cryptocurrency functions in the market.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoincash or Ethereum on: August 20, 2021, 01:53:55 PM
We know that Bitcoin is the best coin of all.  Which is the best for you after Bitcoin?
Ethereum or Bitcoin Cash?  Give your opinion with logic in favor of your opinion then everyone will benefit. But I think Italian is more popular among Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash. Looking forward to your important feedback.

I believe both are good and surviving cryptocurrencies in the market, But if we look at the recent status, the Bitcoin cash is not that hot compared to Ethereum in a logical way if I am an investor I will go for Ethereum in the sense that I can make a decent profit out of it, But if I am only an ordinary user, I think Ethereum is not good for me because of its expensive gas fee. thas why I'll go for other choices probably and not stick to Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash because both coins have a voracious("like always hungry") gas requirement.

630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to distinguish scam? on: August 18, 2021, 04:01:06 PM
I think any project that requires money to invest has risks and the possibility of fraud.
So it’s safe for us to find one project-nearly zero cost project.

It seems that you are confused, but I agree with your first sentence and it's true and I personally experience that way back in 2017, in a particular project that raises a very good amount of money from ICO the project team is showing their faces and doing some marketing exposures and meetings despite in all of that there gone with the funds. so you are correct that any project has a possibility to become a fraud.

But your last sentence in a question was seems to be impossible to attain because most of the crypto startups have no funds to develop the project and its product that's why they are doing some fundraising campaigns like ICO, IEO, IDO, etc. so it's pretty much impossible for a start-up project to become a nearly zero cost.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WALMART is hiring a cryptocurrency product lead ! on: August 18, 2021, 03:48:10 PM
IMO, I guess cryptocurrency adoption is much alive, and the big companies are doing it despite the negative publicities and other damaging issues that were thrown in the crypto industry recently, from regulation to climate change issues, etc. but despite all of that issues here we are witnessing the crypto adoption in the making and this time it is Walmart a US retail giant and then who's follow's next? Anyway, its a positive news and I'm hoping that the next information about this will be more productive.
632  Economy / Economics / Re: Warning against CBDC from bank of Ghana on: August 17, 2021, 03:32:21 PM
How effective is this news against CBDC? The bank of Ghana warns against developing CBDC for its country, calling it old traditional thinking lol, check out the link below for full news

https://news.bitcoin.com/bank-of-ghana-urged-to-resist-developing-cbdc-based-on-old-traditional-siloed-financial-thinking/

I think the Bank of Ghana or (BOG) wants to create its own CBDC, But the Ghana Blockchain Society(AfroBlocks) has a warning against it (if the CBDC is base on old traditional siloed financial thinking) I don't think its a warning against the creation of CBDC from the Government, the warning is only coming from the Ghana Blockchain Society (AFROBlocks) so IMO, there's nothing effective about it because it's just a simple warning from a private group and there's nothing they can do if the government wants to do it.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Question to All DOGE HODLers on: August 17, 2021, 03:14:49 PM
Would you like to play an on chain gambling game like Chain-Bet.com on DogeCoin Blockchain?

Honestly, speaking I do some gambling activities as my fast time and I also use Doge as a bet and many other tokens. that's why I can say that if there's an opportunity to play on that site why not? Anyway, I just make it clear that I have never been addicted to gambling it's only my fast time and the cryptocurrency that I used to bet is just excess. and it's only a little amount but sometimes I win big. thats why I'd love to try if there's an opportunity to do it.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH adoption lately is high on: August 16, 2021, 03:16:14 PM
It seems like Ethereum will reach a new ATH the second time again, hours back I read news that whales are investing 500million dollars on ETH which is a good plan that they are preparing for PoS algorithm rewards, the adoption rate looks way higher than BTc or am I wrong?

Thats true the price of Eth is looking good but the transaction cost become worst, after the upgrade, Eth developers should understand that Ethereum is not monopolized the smart-contract business anymore, many platforms are already catching up, with much cheaper fees and much faster transaction speed that's why if Ethereum developers are continuing to play this gas fee dumb game I'm sure it will create a mess in Ethereum Network in the near future. just my opinion.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: August 16, 2021, 03:01:23 PM
even now ethereum gas is still high to make an ERC20 token transaction it takes 12$-30$
this is the problem for ETH blockchains that has not been resolved until now is the high fee even some projects are pending distribution because the fee is too high

That's true after the anticipated upgrade and implementation of EIP-1559 Ethereum becomes worst, the gas fees even on Ethereum token transfer is now more expensive than before, but besides that problem, Ethereum developers are boosting with pride that the network has continued to burn millions of dollars worth of Eth it seems that they don't care us the ordinary users. I hope more and more projects will bridge Ethereum to other networks such as BSC or Polygon so that the gas problem will be minimized.
636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption and increase in crime rate, how correlated are they?. on: August 15, 2021, 01:09:27 PM
I guess it is not clear what are those types of crimes? if it was an internet-based crime will I believe that's true, those crimes are committed ever since, scammers, hackers, etc are freely moved on the internet and that's normal because the internet is open, as I remember in 2016, I became a victim of a scam, driven by so-called Bitcoin investment, and it's pretty common on the internet nowadays, but I believe it happens for a reason, that's why we should take extra precaution before dealing this kind of investment next time.

But if people say that Bitcoin/cryptocurrency adoption is the main cause why? the crime is increasing like street crimes, murder, robbery, etc. for me it's a total nonsense and baseless correlation and it should be ignored for the peace of mind.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Trading for Some Digital Coins Banned in Thailand, Including on: August 15, 2021, 12:42:56 PM
Thailand has become the latest country in Asia, after China, to restrict trading in the highly speculative cryptocurrencies and the non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued new regulations that ban certain types of digital coins, including meme currencies like Dogecoin.
It said the ban is aimed at protecting traders from tokens that have "no clear objective or substance" and whose prices are influenced by social media trends and online influencers. The ban also includes “fan tokens” that are riding on the popularity of the celebrities they are influenced by.

I think it's not a total banned issue, and if the ban is intended for all cryptocurrencies I guess only the Thai users will be affected and it means nothing to the entire crypto industry. I can't blame their regulatory authorities, in fact, they were right in some points meme coins have no real use cases that's why it is useless and risky for the Thai investors and that is the responsibility of their regulatory bodies in order to protect its people from losing money.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BNB a good long-term or short-term investment? on: August 14, 2021, 02:50:47 PM
Ever since Binance Coin began trading on the market, it's been going on a constant trend in price. It's quite impressive for a coin that's fairly new in the crypto/Blockchain space. Binance's strong marketing/promotion efforts led its own Blockchain network towards non-stop success. It's up to this date where BNB is the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap after both Bitcoin and Ethereum. While BNB had its "glorious moments", it's still behind the ATH of $690 per coin. Just like any other cryptocurrency on the market, BNB is "haunted" by wild fluctuations in price.  I'm wondering if BNB serves more as a serious long-term investment, or all the other way around. The total supply is 168 million coins, so I think BNB has a better chance of becoming a store of value than ETH itself.

What do you think? Is BNB a good long-term or short-term investment? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

IMHO, I believe after the launch of the Binance Smart Chain, BSC Network, the future of Binance has already been written, as one of the fastest-growing platforms in the industry and because Ethereum has not solved its gas problem many users are migrated to BSC, that has resulted in huge demand of BSC base Decentralized exchange services, that paving the development of many DExes like PancakeSwap, BakerySwap, etc. and if Ethereum will not address its expensive gas fees, I'm sure many will leave Ethereum and going to Binance that's why I believe that holding BNB and other BSC base tokens has a good potential in short term or even long term.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the recent Ethereum upgrade? Is it good or bad? on: August 14, 2021, 02:29:12 PM
I think most of us here as ordinary Eth users are also disappointed with the result, even sending Eth now has become expensive, unlike before that only those ERC20 token has that problem but today sending Eth will cost you more than $5-7 dollars in average depending on the amount and value of Eth that you send, IMO, this is crazy unsustainable Eth become worst, I'm sure it will bring negative effect on Ethereum if the problem will not address properly.

My opinion is the London upgrade has not solved the expensive fee problem instead they make it more worst because after the upgrade sending Eth has also become expensive unlike before.

640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple still standing on: August 13, 2021, 09:06:43 AM
So why is no one talking about ripple anymore? On this thread weeks back there are many posts about ripple going to its death bed soon because of SEC lawsuits and now everything is just silent, you guys have accepted your defeat or what? Cos ripple is now a winner

Well, Bitcointalk forum is a free forum that's why everyone can voice out their opinion, and we all know that many people here are against the proliferation of the centralized cryptocurrency platforms and because Ripple is a centralized company it was the main subject of that rant and negative opinion particularly from the Bitcoin fans and it is just normal in this industry. let Ripple prove the worth of its coin base on value and not on personal opinion.
