Why would GDAX move your BTC free of charge, that could add up to millions in lost revenue. makes no sense....
623  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Good exchange with low fees & Tx on: January 06, 2018, 02:35:31 PM
The BTC transaction fees will stay high for the foreseeable future! Until the network expands the size of each block to at least 2mb, we will continue witnessing the rising fees and slower confirmations. Bitcoin is a big gamble these days, paying above average fee doesn't always guarantee fast confirmation. In some instances it takes weeks to get your transaction confirmed.. SO yea, wire is faster and might even be cheaper.. hehe Consider paying with ripple, its cheap and instant.
624  Economy / Exchanges / Re: PerfectMoney.is - Legit? on: January 05, 2018, 06:57:03 PM
perfect money is not scam, but you should only use it cautiously for just small amount, if you use it for large amount than $1500 then they may block your account for some reason and you may lose your funds

Your argument carries no weight! I know many folks, as well as customers of ours who had used PM for 10s of thousands......
I've never heard that PM blocks users with lot of money in their accounts. Perfect Money is legit, but it's not safe as a bank accounts.
It's offshore company registered in Panama, they are dealing with lot HYIP scammers (it's main fiat service used by scammers). I wouldn't be surprised if one day they will be shut down by authorities.

These guys are ghosts! No authorities can easily shut them down!
625  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp exchange of currencies: stealing money of the deposit by employees on: January 04, 2018, 04:44:18 PM

This guy is full of opinions, always sticks his 2 useless cents without having a clue on the subject!

“Sticking my 2 useless cents” is far better than a criminal like you looking for opportunities to defraud people of their coins. You should grow up and find a decent paying job, instead of feeding yourself with food paid for with stolen coins.

But of course one can’t expect incorrigible criminals to earn honorably and honestly. Especially habitual scammers like you who offer to build shady exchanges overnight and sell them to unsuspecting buyers sans escrow protection!

I could see a hater from a mile away. Your words carry ZERO weight, you remind me of hyena from the Lion king movie. Blah, blah blah

Unfortunately these decisions they make are almost always not eligible for appeal. The after careful consideration phrase usually implies they did a serious analysis of your fiat and crypto transactions and decided there is something they don't agree with. Perhaps excessive inward and outward movements which might suggest structured transactions. A structured transaction is a suspicious series of transfers which a bank (in this case Bitstamp) suspects might be related to money laundering.

As you can see, they asked a lot of questions. These are usually questions asked when money laundering or an AML policy violation is suspected.

If you suspect this was an unfair decision, you can escalate the matter by writing to the Luxembourg financial regulatory authorities or the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier. The website is http://www.cssf.lu/en/

I suggest you continue trying to contact Bitstamp first and let them know that you will advance the matter to the CSSF if they do not allow you access to your funds. Try contacting them on their Facebook and Twitter pages. You should also PM their representative here and inform them about your intention to escalate the matter to the CSSF for arbitration or clarification.

If they have a solid case against you (for example, if there is indeed a strong suspicion of money laundering after they carefully studied your account's fiat movements) then they have a right and even an obligation to close and sanction your account (which is what the account closure is). The money you have on that account, if any, must be explained. Will they return it or not? If they are not returning it, then it's probably because they suspect your account was used to commit money laundering.

Exchanges will also close accounts if assets within that account are, after considering a balance of probabilities, difficult to ascertain as truly yours and yours alone. When money laundering is suspected, they usually consider the possibility of third parties being the true owners of some or all of the funds.

Bitstamp is not a scam exchange. They have proper audit and accountability systems in place.

Escrow or do not transact on that site, guys. This We're here to establish honest business ethics and serve you folks with your business needs. line only makes sense if or when trust is truly and solidly established.

Some people don't get it. Anyone can create a website overnight and advertise it here as a glorified Bitstamp or Kraken. It's not a trusted exchange. Insist on using escrow. Only time will tell if it grows and establishes itself as a trustworthy exchange. Creating fly by night exchanges is all the rage now. It's a moneymaking scheme and best of all it's the best way to avoid the escrow challenge. Being an exchange, the operator aims to create a facade of being the trustworthy party. Their customers are, by default, indirectly branded as dishonest. To test that theory, here's the challenge: Would the exchange send bitcoins or money first before the customer pays?

Insist on escrow and if the exchange refuses, that would be a major red flag.

What happens when you deposit funds to an exchange like bitfinex... would you ask to use an escrow account prior to committing to deposit? I didn't think so! This form of business always involves some sort of degree of risk... this part is inevitable.

Unless you can present a valid proof that we promote dishonest business practices, your argument above carries  zero weight and the statement could be considered as "trashing the thread on purpose". Moreover, if you can pin point to a single negative review about our service, I'd gladly take my words back.

The current bitcoin transaction fee is around $15. You can view bitcoin transaction fees prior to committing to your order. The blockchain fees are being updated every minute.

634  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is there an exchange that has good reviews? on: December 28, 2017, 02:04:35 AM
I've looked up so many exchange reviews and all of them so far have inconsistencies.   They seem to have negative reviews.  Accounts getting frozen for no reason.  Transactions never being deposited.  Withdrawal issues (the scariest and had the most complaints.)  Etc..

Is there a trustworthy consistent exchange out there?

bitstamp is very good never have a problem with them.

advertising something? Smiley

The degree of charge back risks probably depend upon the credit card processing company and or visa/master cards?
Since crypto currencies are virtually delivered and can not be reversed,it is highly risky and very difficult to deal with chargebacks/disputes..so very few exchanges deal with credit cards.Even if they accept credit cards after doing multiple verification and KYC,they limit the max coins per user and also charge high exchange rate to cover the risks
based on the recent activity paybis displays on its site, it seems like they process significantly large credit card volume, while charging only 11% including the cc fees.
it would probably make sense to reach out to cc merchants to get a clearer picture.
637  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying BTC with CREDIT CARDS on: December 27, 2017, 02:26:21 AM
Credit cards come with charge back risks. They are reversible and disputable. Banks conservatively side with the non-bitcoin party (the person claiming to have been defrauded when in fact he did use the card to buy bitcoin). Simply dispute the transaction and drop the B word (B as in Bitcoin) and banks might reverse the money to the card. Scammers know most traditional banks are anti-bitcoin and they exploit this window of opportunity which explains why buying bitcoins with credit card is still a challenging piece of work.

Then you have the phishers, cloners, identity thieves etc who all do their part to make it even harder for legitimate bitcoin traders to build a positive long-term relationship with their card payment processors and acquiring bankers.

As for any vouches here, be careful of such recommendations. You never know until it's too late. By that I mean they might be after your card information which you input on their website. You don't get any coins and end up seeing a bunch of strange transactions on your next credit card statement.

how can you pay through CC ?

there are quite a few exchanges out there that accept cc's. i know paybis requests selfies with multiple forms of ids before buying with credit card can be permitted.
640  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying BTC with CREDIT CARDS on: December 26, 2017, 09:43:05 PM
I was only able to come across a few reputable currency exchanges that are offering BTC and altcoins via credit card.

Is this payment option isn't popular or folks don't do it because of the risk factor?
