In crypto you always want to invest mostly in the future. It is still very early in the game. Everyone on here knows that. Most are just pissed cause they got scammed by BFL or HashScam. They are all jaded for the most part. People paid 46,000 dollars for those monarch pieces of shit, and they dont even have them in hand yet. KNC Neptune has the potential to be 6 TH/s. The Jupiters and Saturns doubled hashing speeds before delivery so I dont see why Neptunes cant be close to that.

There's some Reddit posts about some users who've investigated the Alpha Tech company by going there in person to Manchester, and based on what I've read, it appears to be a scam. But time will tell.
I highly doubt Coindesk would report on a scam, firstly. Secondly, usually scams take in as much money as they can scam. Alpha sold out in a few days and havent listed anymore. Either that, or they're "smart" scam artists and decided to make it look more believable by having a fake pre-order sell out for added credibility. Hi AmericanBit, i'm new to cryptocurrencies, but i think i would agree with every part of your post (quite remarkable because you really say a lot of things in such a short post). Asic bitcoin mining is probably too competitive now for a noob to have much chance of success. I'm interested in finding niches in up and coming alt currencies and hope to catch some in the sweet spot. Any specific tips you might share on finding and analyzing opportunities would be greatly appreciated. Well the best way is to pay attention to the forums and all forums. Look for new coins coming out that have interested parties. You just really have to stay on top of it everyday. 1 day in cryoto equals a week in real life...and a week is a month. Hi, Thx for your answer. When I see the cost of avalon clones which is decreasing each week(B 2.2, B1.90, B1.50) , I think that it will be possible soon to make a little roi. But I need to have them before KNC and other big companies deliver... What do you think about that idea? I'm asking advices because I got to this conclusion now but I would like have your opinions before I start this project. That dude has no idea what he talking about...no one knows what the future holds...there could be another sha coin that comes out, no one knows and anyone who says things so assertively just looks like a joker. Well you should probably state the rest of Alpha Techs terms...like when the rest of the money is due, Their refund program where you can always at least get partial refund after certain amounts of times etc etc |

I've been following the Alpha-Tech thread on litecointalk and they are only selling pre-orders.
So not to offend OP, you should make it clear your re-selling your pre-order -- and that there's no guarantee that Alpha-Tech will deliver. I hope they do for the sake of all the folks on that thread who have bought into them...but I decided to sit this one out.

Sounds more like a scam to me. No proof of purchase, no trust and asking for 30% up front with no mention of escrow.
PMs so that further shadiness isn't in public view, and 30% because it's easier to convince people to make a smaller risk.
