Unicode print issues should be fixed in Windows.Guys, I just pushed out an overhaul of the Unicode handling code in Windows to both develop and master. Especially if you use Windows, please update your git repo to the newest. Note that you shouldn't have to run powershell or anything like that...should work out of the box. Also, for counterpartyd_build, I updated setup.py to make it more user friendly to do future updates of counterpartyd. All you have to do is run "setup.py update" instead of having to manually issue the git pull commands. Feel free to pull the newest counterpartyd_build commits from github as well. More info about this feature is at: http://counterpartyd-build.readthedocs.org/en/latest/BuildingFromSource.html#id4 Xnova you're the best. Can't wait to try this one !

Thanks very much, SyRenity, I've PMed you. The concern re: /r/xcp and /r/counterparty is not that their moderators may be Mastercoin investors, but that their statuses within Mastercoin (ProphetX as an employee and r00tdem0n and mavensbot as /r/mastercoin moderators) suggests very strongly that their position as moderators on Counterparty subreddits poses a serious conflict of interest, especially since, as far as I know, r00tdem0n and mavensbot have not been active participants on this bitcointalk thread. Could you talk to them to ask them for taking over these two groups or you have tried but they refused? r00tdem0n has posted 2 useful tutorials on his /r/XCP sub... he doesn't seem to be a MSC squatter

THanks, I gave it a look already, but yeah it's a bit messy. Still a great creation overall nonetheless, mad props! Hello kind Sirs, Is there any way to monitor the evolution of the price of XCP, and the trades done without installing everything? Sorry for my newbie question, and have a nice day!
Would be nice to have a chart with volume !

WARNING: Please stop using the Distributed Exchange for now. There's something funky going on with matched orders. The owner of this address posted an order to sell 1000 XCP for 7.5 BTC: http://blockscan.com/address.aspx?q=1KDiHRwFsAEVEmmqQP7jR9GaBp8Wu7uLoaSomeone bought 100 XCP from him for 0.75 BTC and paid for them. But it looks like the XCP seller was credited with an additional 100 XCP? The XCP seller's address now shows an additional 100 XCP received and a current balance of 100 XCP. WARNING: XCP seller referenced above is attempting to double-spend. DO NOT USE DISTRIBUTED EXCHANGE. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR BITCOINS. Calm down!!! and stop the red CAPS, please edit your messages Seems to be ok for me, for some reason his original order was recredited, see hereTx0 Tx0_Address Forward Asset Tx1_Address Backward Asset Remarks 3138 1KDiHRwFsAEVEmmqQP7jR9GaBp8Wu7uLoa 100.01818181 XCP 134NJLMjRUf2D74L3myc7MXwJSAUgkqxyp 0.75 BTC Invalid: expired awaiting BTC payment 3138 1KDiHRwFsAEVEmmqQP7jR9GaBp8Wu7uLoa 100.01818181 XCP 134NJLMjRUf2D74L3myc7MXwJSAUgkqxyp 0.75 BTC Valid maybe because btcpay wasn't done fast enough ? It could be an issue (you could buy the whole sell order book and then cancel them without paying?) On the other hand, it's nice to see XCP being bought @0.0075

I've got an "insufficient funds" error here. Both addresses have 0.01 BTC and positive XCP balances. Neither can send XCP to the other... wallet passphrase is unlocked. How do I run DEX ?
You don't run a Distributed Exchange. You just issue an order on the blockchain via conterpartyd It's quite technical, command line based, and involve reindexing the complete bitcoin blockchain before doing anything, that's why that's why most just wait for a GUI to be released around mid February, or buy via PM/spreadsheet EDIT: indeed, it's not that technical but it'll be a turnoff for most noobs. That's being said, being able to create that type of transaction in the blockchain is quite exciting !

Not true (anymore.)
As of moments ago, I am a non-burner (maybe the first?) to put a bid for XCP on the DEX.
As a test, I'm bidding for 76 XCP, on exchange @ just above 0.0013. I believe that will be the best bid, on exchange.
Now somebody fill me, so I can issue the first REAL FREAKING asset for trade. I plan on issuing the first physical precious metals buy-write VETF. I've got a plan to build trust without a reputation.
I see your order. It might not get filled so fast since your bid is not very high. But who knows, that's free market ! As soon as I get my client running, I'll happily sell you 1XCP at that bargain price.

Interesting to see so much supply on the block scanner. ~11000 XCP for sale, against ~300 on the bid. Both camps are greedy.
I think buyers have not installed counterpartyd yet, and can only buy here via PM. Low offers will immediately be bought by ppl who already have XCP. Please, if you want to buy XCP, do it the right way, via the DEX (put a bid on the blockchain) At least you'll buy something you can use.

buyers are setting up their bitcoin-QT wallets. i all ready have 10% deoposits and more for those sells. once i finish work and get to my computer at home i hope to get the deals done - i will post here or PM you the proofs. you can set-up an XCP bet if you want Yes, XCP integrates a distributed exchange. So, if you want to buy or sell directly on the blockchain, just install qt & counterpartyd and try for yourself. And don't come whining about a manipulated market. Distribution is fair, there is no cartel (despite the meaningless efforts of some) it's only the market's rule and as soon as we see buy and sel orders hitting the blockchain, we'll have a valuation for XCP. I am myself in the process of re downloading the complete blockchain in order to test the DEX

2648 BTC market cap is way too low for a protocol with the first functioning distributed exchange.
2648 BTC market cap was below much less innovative coins such as Kittehcoin or Tickets.

Counterparty trades actual bitcoins ('BTC') for XCP, and it has a much better order matching system.
Damn that's crazy. Mastercoin is offering a 300 BTC bounty for such a feature, and it still isn't fully implemented. PhantomPhreak = 2nd coming of Satoshi? I will stay awake until I see the first Dex transaction with BTC. Don't wanna miss history.
