621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Ethereum Fork bring about price increase? on: January 19, 2019, 06:00:25 PM
I learnt that the ethereum fork will bring about reduction in reward per block for miners from 3ETH to 2ETH thereby causing Ethereum to be scarce.

My question is will the scarcity bring about signifant increase in price?

I think that at the beginning we will not see large increases in Ethereum prices. However, if the fork will succeed and everything will work as the developers have planned, it will be a very solid basis for the Ethereum price to grow even x5 in the time of few months.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run on January, February or March? Your Predictions please...... on: January 19, 2019, 04:54:22 PM
As we can see, what is happening on the cryptocurrency market now, is very boring. Unfortunately, but it seems to me that this is how the trade will look like during whole 2019. Investors are too scared of how fast and how much they can lose on trading in cryptocurrencies. It will take a long time before they return.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep Hold or Sell on: January 11, 2019, 06:13:44 AM
Hi Everyone. .
I need your suggestion for Ethereum  Hardfork.
For now I'm confused about having to keep holding or selling?
How do you respond to the Ethereum hardfork that will be done soon?
Do you keep hold or sell?
Please give me a suggestion.

I think it is only a momentary price turbulances and soon after the hardfork, a stable growth will start. In my opinion, a much better solution than sales is to take a deep breath and wait for hardfork results.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: An Easy 25 Percent: ‘Bond King’ Jeffrey Gundlach Predicts Bitcoin Price Gains on: January 11, 2019, 05:46:26 AM
Other technical analysts also see a run to $5K - $6K  sometime soon. The real bull action will come once bitcoin goes above $6K and then $10K.

Exactly. In my opinion, we can expect another downward wave, just after reaching around $6000. When the new bottom is reached, in the area of $2700 we can expect further long-term increases, but this will not be a bull run yet. For bull run we will need to wait probably untill 2020.
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is about to take back number #2 on: January 10, 2019, 12:07:50 PM
Once again ETH has been crossed by XRP today. The current number 2 position of the ETH is no longer stable and it can be robbed at any time, in 2019 I will not be surprised if ETH falls to fourth or fifth

It is true that the cryptocurrency market is unpredictable, but Ethereum's fall into the fourth or fifth position is absurd to me.
Ethereum hardfork will be in a moment, which will be a huge step not only for ETH, but for all altcoins. I'm sure that Ripple will not warm up the second place and Ethereum will be back there soon.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty manager matters on: January 10, 2019, 11:04:31 AM
Often, bounty managers have red trust for very trivial reasons. There are also those who fully deserve a bad opinion.
I think that everyone should decide whom to trust. The most important thing is to check the entire project, including the bounty manager, before joining the campaign.
Remember that after the campaign is finished, leave opinions in trust section, to those who cheat, are lazy or just fail to be a manager - it will help to eliminate bad eggs from this basket.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Next Bullrun on: January 10, 2019, 10:46:23 AM
Well, I'm not expecting too much in the next two months, but I'm confident about April/May. It will be really awesome to hold then, but now I want the market more down so that I can buy more and prepare for the bull run.
I am sure that you will see your minimums and in the next couple of months you will have the opportunity to buy Bitcoin and other currencies even cheaper than now

It is crazy for someone to want the crypto market to go even deeper just to buy it cheap. Isn't very cheap now? Do you even think that when the crypto market losses like half of its value means no more volumes and traders and investors will be leaving? Why not try to buy those dead coins that have very cheap to no value then? Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Isn't is funny for looking for more downside when prices are down more than 5 times from ATH? Volume is low also if someone wanna to enter marketwith big pocket. Considering this dead coins can get boost with small pumps.

These people are all about talk. The moment their target to buy price get hit, they will then say I will wait for more dip. In the end they ended up not buying and will cry and whine when the prices move up again.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Maybe that they are waiting for even greater price drops is not so crazy. See what happened to the Ethereum price in the last hours. Ethereum is again in the third position on the coinmarketcap. It is possible that the bottom has not yet been found and larger price drops will yet come.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never buy too much coins because you would eventually forgot gosh on: January 10, 2019, 05:55:49 AM
So, as you guys know, most coins will do swap when they perform blockchain upgrades or changing the coins to to a new coin

I just forgot about one of my coins and the swap was ended in the 31st of December
and guess what?

I just lost 0.3 btc because of it
God damn this is so painful

Been holding the coins since 2 year ago in the ICO stage
Never make such mistake guys remember

Im sorry about your loss. If someone decides to keep a large amount of coins, he should also be able to manage them.
One way is to have a spreadsheet with a list of coins and update the information about them at least once a month.
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The ultimate infrastructure portfolio on: January 03, 2019, 11:05:10 PM
A very nice investment basket and I wish that everything will goes as you plan. Unfortunately, with the baskets is one problem - the more eggs in it, the greater the risk that more will break. My point is that even if not all of the currencies in which you invest will hit the moon, you should still enjoy 50% or even 30% of success. Good luck!
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am sure Bitcoin Will go $50,000 End of this year because of ETF! on: January 03, 2019, 11:35:37 AM
The ETF may pass the review tomorrow or may never pass the review. I don't think we can count on events without deadlines. Working hard is what we should do.

I think that big players use information about ETF to manipulate the price. Just as you wrote, a positive decision can come tomorrow or never, so we should not considering it, wanting to invest in cryptocurrencies. The decision on the ETF is simply pure speculation.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Postponed ICO after bounty campaign on: January 03, 2019, 10:55:51 AM
Postponing might be a better idea, the ICO launching need to be on the right timing, when a positive trend is happening on the market it will attract more investors, if you force the launching then the result might be not good, and when the start is not good then it could affect the growth and the reputation

For many investors (mainly those old school), changing such important decisions and dates may also mean poor preparation of the project and lack of professionalism of the dev team. If once they decided wrong about the start of sales, why the next attempt have to be successful? Most probably this decision can be wrong again.. right?

There is also another admin along with the theymos is Cyrus.

I think that Themos from the beginning was admin of Bitcointalk. Satoshi is here as a founder.
In addition to the two you mentioned (Themos and Cyrus) - If I remember correctly, BadBear was also an admin before, but recently he is not very active here.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin will rise more? on: December 30, 2018, 10:34:19 PM
LTC has seen a massive sellout, but quite frankly it's ranked way up for a coin with absolute garbage-tier fundamentals.
Its devs can only copy+paste and its only use is being a bitcoin testnet. Testnets are cool but don't forget that Ropsten coins are worth $0

I do not know why you have such a bad opinion about Litecoin.
When it comes to its price and future, it's enough to look at historical charts compared to BTC
It looks like nothing will change and its price will go up with the price of Bitcoin.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: everything will be ok. trust in crypto. on: December 30, 2018, 10:23:45 PM
I will still believe in crypto that everything will be fine, even though the market is currently not possible and the price is down but I am sure that all will return to normal soon and crypto will increase.

We all believe in it! We waited the whole year 2018 until the bear market is over. I think the recent increases are a very good signal and price drops will finally end.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 55K loss, how to get back into the game on: December 30, 2018, 10:16:04 PM
Folks, what a terrible year 2018 has been so far. I invested around 60K and now left with 5K. I did terrible mistakes and I hope there would be a turnaround sometime next year or so. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people in a situation like yours. What you do, mainly will depend on the financial situation you are in. In your place (if you do not have to) I would keep and wait for better times.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You think the Crypto market will keep growing? on: December 30, 2018, 10:05:05 PM
We are all very tired of such long price drops. It seems to me that the new year gives a great chance to rebuild the entire cryptocurrency market. Let's hope that this will happen.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum 40$ in 1-2 weeks on: December 23, 2018, 03:14:54 PM
It is too much to fall for ETH. Now we have got two good support levels: 90$ and 60$. It will be very hard to push through these levels, so dont be greedy and buy earlier

The current increases may only be temporary, but I also think that the Ethereum price will never fall to $50, I even think it will never fall below $100.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is waiting for what? on: December 22, 2018, 11:21:33 PM
Recently, the market has shown that bitcoin is set for a bull run. Yet, the ethereum chart is showing that, ethereum is feebly struggling to even maintain it's current price. What do you say about this? Why hasn't ethereum followed suit?

Surely, this is not the moment for the bull run. Let's hope that this is the end of the bear market and now prices will go up slowly. The Ethereum price will also grow, but unfortunately it is still heavily dependent on the BTC price. We have to wait for Bitcoin to start growing.
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The number one cryptocurrency on: December 22, 2018, 10:43:05 PM
Very few users vote, I thought that this poll will be more popular. Although the answers are very diverse, it seems that Ethereum is on the lead. And in my opinion that's how the vote will end. ETH is a good choice.
