621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could be the effect of corona virus on crypto industry?decrease or increase on: April 04, 2020, 09:54:29 PM
The year was expected big by people around the globe in terms of economic uplifting. The same is with the crypto market, but everything has happened in the opposite way with the corona virus. As there is complete lockdown throughout the world the consumer and the production industry has limited resources and very few sectors are functional to help people all around.

Until now there isn't big impact felt over the cryptocurrency market in accordance to the corona virus effect. Hope things will get better with time, and the recovery time can't be calculated based on the present situation prevailing around.

Yh, there could be said that the entire world is seeing an economic crisis right now with all the lockdown cities across the Globe. Some industries though will prevail and those will be the ones where physically presence isn't necessary and remote working would be similarly productive. In anyway, it seems that the crypto market is holding up much better than the rest of the current fiat system and this would be a good moment to look for alternatives and realise crypto is one of them.
622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price drop 40% we thing causes "Corona virus" and world economic problem on: April 04, 2020, 05:56:39 PM
I guess world economy hasn't seen anything just yet, I mean you do realize that we are living basically the same life in the economical sense as ever right? There are people who got laid off and that is the only party that actually felt this crisis, aside from them there is really nothing visible that has changed if I am not wrong.

I think we will see the devastation of the corona virus on the global economy quickly. Many companies have suspended operations, many international flights have been canceled, many countries have closed the border.
When the normal activities of the world become stagnant, the economy will surely be adversely affected.

Those areas where economic losses is seen is to be expected since economy is al about people and its country's GDP. What I'd like to point out though is that even in this stressful situation cryptocurrency is one again showing strength and eve more of a reason for it to exist. This is a perfect example why crypto is great and a system that is more robust than the current one
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is Becoming a Crypto Monopoly on: April 03, 2020, 05:28:31 PM
Though Binance is one of the biggest crypto exchanges based on daily trading volume, has revealedthat it will be the chief sponsor of the Blockchain Africa 2020 Conference as it strives to stamp its authority in the continent. Their is also tendency that during the conference, it will announce its expansion plans in African nations, such as South Africa, as well as its initiatives and projects under the arm of the Binance Charity Foundation

Even though Binance is dedicated to increasing the freedom of money and the advancement of blockchain technology. The African continent is a major part of this mission – where millions are unbanked but remain innovative in their use of technology.

With this Binance is becoming Monopoly is inconclusive

Binance is becoming a crypto monopoly because of its strategies, people and ongoing success. In the end, it is every business owner/s dreams to become obsolete in their industry. However, this is as a result of the rest of the exchanges not taking as many risks or implementing what it takes to be the next competitor. In the end, this outcome is only natural.
624  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best exchange site on: April 03, 2020, 03:32:58 PM
I think one of the best is kucoin and binance. I preffer kucoin.

Like most people on here, there are many platforms people use but once you get through these comments you should see that Binance is among the top platforms and that's not just coincidence. This is the fastest growing exchange at the moment, and one that many people trust and use. Depending on your needs though there are other ones also, one that I've used due to its volume is bestchange. In anyway, still be cautious when choosing the one for you.
625  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for bounties on: April 03, 2020, 02:14:17 PM
Your account was created in 2018 and you should know that if you are looking for bounty try to visit the bounties board, but now there are few or no paying bounty campaigns so try to research first before joining several campaigns, or you can join several airdrops and there are many platforms that have updated airdrop lists (you can search on google). Good luck. Wink

Similar to the comment made above, there are now fewer and fewer good bounties and for that matter projects too, so rather than dragging through this already dry market why not learn some other crypto skills like social marketing and the likes. The role, I suppose is very similar too.
626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if BTC never reaches all time high? on: April 03, 2020, 12:12:21 PM
You can't compare crypto to anything else outside it although they both have value to USD. Does it matter if BTC never reaches another ATH? Imagine if that happens, surely people would still consider buying it because it will surely have lower prices then. Demand might burst and it should inevitably increase in price.
But if it isn't then I think consider using Bitcoin already from what it is made to be an alternative payment method.

In effect, I don't see a future where BTC will not reach ATH. Crypto is the future of finance and this pandemic has just demonstrated this. In my opinion it is a matter of time until crypto gets recognised as the future and when it does, those that believed in the industry will profit, though the time is more of a concern now rather than if it will ever get to ATH.
627  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paying with Bitcoin for VOIP services on: April 03, 2020, 10:51:32 AM
This is great! Thanks again for your help. I'll start with a small amount of BTC just to give it a try. Based on the reviews I've seen online, it seems like a legitimate VoIP service. Accepting Bitcoin directly is a blast, especially for unbanked people.

You're welcome Wink

I'm glad if the link was helpful, and if you try the service it might be good to write your own impressions, it might be helpful for someone interested in the same service.

I'll definitely try sending an email to traditional VoIP services like Vonage and Ooma to see if they'd accept Bitcoin as payment. It'll be a blast to pay with Bitcoin for any of these services as they allow you to make calls to traditional phone numbers.

This might be a way to get their attention, but it really depends on how you phrase it as some people as you very well know are vary cautious when it comes to crypto. The response would most likely reflect their resources and if they're able to commit to adding this since some legal forms would need to be taken. Nonetheless, this is a good approach.
628  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paxfulbd.com what the heck is this? on: April 02, 2020, 10:51:22 PM
There's nothing trustable about them.

Using that domain name means they deliberately want to associate themselves to paxful and that can't be any good. They can't even run a decent website (+ to the missing TOS, privacy policy, team behind, broken english), how can we expect them to keep safe their users money and personal information. People should be warned about this.

To be honest you'd become suspicious at once only by hearing where this has taken up from - Bangladesh, with nothing but a fake domain pretending to know staff but in the end looking at the level of language used you soon realise this is all but a hoax. My philosophy is that if you haven't heard of them, than maybe don't trust it as 99% of the time these new projects will not be so under-represented if they're actually good.
629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on DEX's - What's your experience? on: April 02, 2020, 08:02:43 PM
Been playing around with the Blocknet DEX lately, and it seems like the most activity is on the BLOCK/LTC trading pair. Recently seen some DIVI/BLOCK trading going on as well, but really would love to see more trading on DEX's like this as I personally love to trade without giving up my personal details.

What's your own experiences with DEX's? Which one do you like the most, etc?

The best thing about using a DEX is no registration. My first DEX experience was on IDEX but as soon as they started acting like a centralized exchange I stopped using it. I mean why would a DEX need registration.

I then shifted to Binance DEX, liked it but there is zero volume on almost all the pairs now therefore stopped using it too. At the moment not using any DEX.
I share the same experience with IDEX and left when registration started, also left etherdelta and Forkdelta a long time ago, etherdelta after the hack and forkdelta got unhealthy to me. Other DEX do not have the same volume like in the ERC20. DEX had been safe with records but new exchanges dont get as many listed new token that can engage trade.

Same here, have't really gone through with IDEX, mainly because they were slow at responding and I left it in the end. I know though that their volume is something many people aren't happy about and because of that it seems like it lost quite a few of its customers. For my trades I just rely on the exchanges that more or less everyone uses
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Now Binance owns CMC! A Red alert for all the shit Exchanges! on: April 02, 2020, 02:06:16 PM
There is none certainty yet of this. But I will be glad if thats the case since Binance is a good platform, having them as the owner will surely make a lot of improvements on the CMC.

It's funny that Binance, as always, finds the next marketing moves that would not only stay afloat, but also bypass its competitors in popularity.
Around the crisis, and the exchange is going to spend a huge amount on the purchase. It is interesting.
They are actuallt doing all the marketing stuff that they know works on their favor. I dont find any funny thoughts about the matter. They have money, they have resources, ans as far as I know all acquired property of Binance has been improved. Check out trust wallet, and wazirX, I think CMC is lucky already with the amount CZ offered.
Agree with you, coinmarketcap is the next lucky one in this market. Take a look at other projects, like the Trust wallet ... It all became huge when binance managed them, so coinmarketcap will certainly become great in the future. I want to see the real volume in coinmarketcap and remove all altcoin scams

Yup, completion of this move by Binance will sure clear up a lot of crappy exchanges that exist only to rip people off. The success Binance has developed over the years with its strategic plans may well be implemented across this new big addition and if that's the case then we shall all expect higher and better quality exchanges  Cheesy
631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gender in blockchain. on: April 02, 2020, 09:47:22 AM
Technology is not gender biased I mean everyone uses mobile phone regardless of their gender and in my opinion this is one of that topic that does not make any sense.

It is known that technology is designed and developed for both the sexes.

While it is true that technology doesn't discriminate against gender unfortunately, job positions outside of the online community do mostly get filled by a man than a woman and that's due to the prejudice that still runs strong within our society. In some ways, women can be more dedicated than a man and they can contribute considerably but given that most chances favour men over women, in crypto even to this day there're few higher-up positions accepting women! I think it is still a work in progress.
632  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: April 01, 2020, 08:32:41 PM
They just open the registration again and I'm thinking of joining again after the mass banning of their members just because of their nationality, I believe I can keep up with their rules, but I'm looking for a cheap VPN right now which is reliable and they cannot trade that I'm using one with 1000 post and 30000 sats  post limit daily, it will worth much in the future.
You are other person with other prefernces, but aren't you concerned about service banning users for their... nationality in 2020??
It seems like their days are numbered and there are not much left to be honest.

I would never dare defend nationalism, but looking from the business side, if a company closes its stores or restaurants in a country due to the fact that they are not profitable there, then for you is a manifestation of nationalism?
I don't know what the owners of Cryptotalk were guided by and I don't like this approach at all, but thinking logically, it was more about reducing spam, which is a business decision, not a nationalistic one.
However, this can be explained in different ways, so from a business and image position it was definitely a bad decision.

As mentioned above its not fair to restrict members because of their location on the Globe, however I can see how this decision might have been taken. Already some countries are known where members aren't too focused on investment so fraudulent activity can be very high.

In addition to this, certain protocols needs to be in place in order for the business to have access and operate in that country so it may also be a possibility that some countries' policy/protocols have been missed or are about to expire leaving those people out  Huh
633  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best debit cards to spend BTC on: March 31, 2020, 05:21:31 PM
Some exchange called CoinZoom recently released a debit card.

https://www.coinzoom.com/cards/

Not promoting it or even saying you should get it, but it does have some interesting features, like 5% cashback rewards (in their token) and I think 12% APR on deposits.

That said, CoinZoom looks like a relatively new platform, so best to do some digging to see if it's trustworthy.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange tokens on: March 31, 2020, 12:33:15 PM
I have been burned far too many times by buying exchange tokens for speculative purposes.

I'd much rather just speculate on pure cryptocurrencies like Litecoin or Bitcoin, or something that does not rely on a centralized platform to derive value.

Isn't that the exact reason why cryptocurrencies are so popular, because they're supposed to a separate from the traditional economy and unreliant on centralized middlemen (e.g. exchanges?)
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: March 31, 2020, 09:53:38 AM
The market has lost faith in new projects, far too many fail, far too many turn out to be glorified scams, while others simply were never viable to begin with.

A huge number of people jumped on the ICO bang wagon because some genuinely good projects pumped to the high heavens. However, the crap that appears nowadays is not on the same level and is almost certainly destined for failure.

Avoid investing in crowdfunds or wasting your time supporting IEO, ICO or STOs nowadays, you'll only get burnt.
636  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The Binance card is here on: March 30, 2020, 10:52:05 PM
Highly doubt they are going to be able to release this card in the United States, especially considering New York has some pretty gnarly regulatory hurdles for blockchain businesses.

Still, Malaysia is an interesting market to target, not sure why they chose that one? The article doesn't really mention why.

637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't just hold your altcoins for a long time! on: March 30, 2020, 03:45:11 PM
Keeping track of altcoins is stressful, we all know that! And while apps are used by some people to help them with that most people just don't have the time or have the energy to keep an eye on them, so unless there's good volatility around the alts your holding there's no point in having them fr the sake of a potential profit in the very distant future. For me its not worth the hassle, and only keeping the alts that will definitely change the market like ETH. That's my approach anyway
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: March 30, 2020, 09:53:23 AM
Since I've ranked up to junior member I decide to start my bounty hunting journey and after spending hours on bounty section on this forum I was shocked that no single bounty is of high quality and worth my time, all I see is projects going for crap exchanges like ChainX and another one called leadwallet that wants to raise fund using ChainX and all team members are Nigerians, really? And many members are promoting such project? The good projects are over or I'm missing something?

Aren't there bounty projects that list on gate.io, binance, okex, huobi ? ChainX, p2pb2b, exmarket and others like these exchanges will only drag the project down, are bounty hunters blind or just too stupid to do research?

It might just be the timing though, I can't imagine having good projects waiting all the time, there's usually a cycle of good then bad. It may well be that in a few months time new projects will come into view, so I think it's only a matter of time until new solutions will rise to the new problems.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would a global recession affect cryptocurrencies? on: March 29, 2020, 10:48:17 PM
Government will print trillions of dollars of money and try to rescue, so no worry. It is a fact that any business that has something to do with physical personal contact will get much less customer, but the virtual economy like online gaming or cryptocurrency basically unaffected, can even get a boost in number of customer, since now everyone must stay at home and go on internet

Kinda true, I can't agree with everything but some aspects such as the strength of the crypto community should keep improving though it is still yet to be determined by people's reaction to the fiat crunching economy. The fact that more money will be printed it's not going to solve the problem since inflation will rise to offset that, so people won't be gaining much at all. This is almost the perfect situation where crypto can stand out as a much reliable alternative of currency than fiat.
640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A professional crypto-currency trader PROVIDING FREE bitcoin/alt SIGNALS on: March 29, 2020, 08:02:48 PM
Even if your signals are 100% accurate, I would never follow them. This is my personal opinion and can't say about others. Why I would never follow your signals is only because it would make me lazy and each time I would think of trading, I would move onto your thread and check for some signals which would be a ready made material for me. This would even kill my capability to make my own TA and henceforth I would only depend on such signals which I never want.

Moreover, I could never be sure if you post accurate signals each time as it is not possible for anyone to be 100% sure each time. Newbies might find these signals useful to start with their trading career but yet they should be aware about the hidden risks associated with following such signals.

Just along the same line of thoughts here, has anybody verified these signals are they real or not, of course the times are important in determining the success rate of these signals. And while at it, what are the speculations as to why this person decided to  share these with the community as these days even 'good will' may seem suspicious, at least on these online platforms
