What other forums do you frequent? Care to share?

I go to a flashlight forum sometimes and a cell phone forum.

Care to shed a little light on the subject as to what a flashlight forum would consist of?
Inquiring minds what to know what the flashlight forum is yes.

This is a popular one:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/forum.php

Website ranks #11,191 in the US on Alexa.  You will notice the "LED" sub forum has over 998,000 posts in it.

Flashlight building/buying/making is very popular hobby.  I have visited the forum in the past as well.  You can make some pretty powerful lights (torchs) that would light 3 football fields.

Either these things are fake which I assume. Or this guy actually hunts down raccoons and boils their penises. Terrible way to go out.

Mountain Man Toothpicks are a 100% real.

I've also seen whale and walrus oosiks (penis bones)  carved into flutes.  They are a novelty item you have your friends try to play a tune on by blowing into one end.  You tell them they are an ancient tribal musical instrument.  (You should see there face when you tell them what they are really blowing on!!).  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I couldn't find a link, but here is a beer sign talking about them:

[Block Erupter USB]Low Price, Limited Quantity

But no Low Price posted?  Misleading title.
625  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling Bitcoins for PayPal on: September 02, 2013, 04:40:10 PM
He changed the website text.
I changed the site, I realized why people would think I was trying to steal bitcoins. So I flipped it around and I'm selling the bitcoins!

The reason was explained in the last thread.  Paypal is not a safe way to exchange BTC because of the possibilty of a charge back.  Only someone scamming would encourage this.  Also, you have a new account and have not built up any trust with anyone.  The free website is just another indicator.  Best of luck to you.
626  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling Bitcoins for PayPal on: September 02, 2013, 04:33:57 PM
I set up a site, which is still in progress and will be updated a lot in the future, I sell you btc for paypal, currently you can only buy 1 btc per paypal account. If anyone is interested: http://btc4pal.webs.com/

Yes it does use a free site, but if I had lots of money I wouldn't be selling bitcoins, I'd be buying them.

Your back again?  I thought a mod (Tysat) shut you down in another thread.

The last three posts (prior to DeafBoy...he snuck in post while I was writing) put a huge grin on my face.  That was funny.   I to would have made the same simple mistake.  Its crazy the OP didn't know about those other legacy items and ends up authoring bitmessage.  That was a complete circle around!  Great gift back to the community.

Sounds Legit!
630  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mining Pool Theory on: September 01, 2013, 11:40:59 PM
Thanks for the informative post.  Makes a lot of sense.  Sorry if you did not entirely get the meaning of my post, but you answered what I was looking for.

I wouldn't be stupid enough to follow 2nd question scenario, none of the pool operators I talk to are either, pointless "what if's" are pointless......think about it "What if EVERY pool operator decided to point their hash power through another pool. " no-one would be mining on a bitcoind so no blocks.

This 2nd one wasn't meant for the smart people....its called a circular reference.....and meant to stump the others.

631  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mining Pool Theory on: September 01, 2013, 10:57:04 PM
Since there are no replies;

For fun, let's make the scenario a little more complex.

What if EVERY pool operator decided to point their hash power through another pool.  Would ANY blocks be solved?  If a block is solved, would every pool get credit?
632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: September 01, 2013, 10:14:31 PM
Yes, it will hit $1000 one day when the price of a burger will be $500. lol

A burger is about $2 bucks. Twice that is $4 bucks. Are you saying Bitcoin will go from $120 down to $4 in value terms?

Your logic is sound.  But as I am surely you are aware, he was just pointing out that inflation will raise the value of everything over time.  Obviously the dollar ratio was not factored into his post.  But you definitely reveal an interesting observation.
633  Bitcoin / Pools / Mining Pool Theory on: September 01, 2013, 09:56:46 PM
Here's a Question;

We all know it is usually better to join a pool then to go it alone solo.  What if a pool operator was to redirect all of his hashing power through another pool.  Essentially he would become a top user of this pool and not only get his "hits", but also the new joined pool block hits.  Would doing this increase a pool operators returns?  Has anyone done this or know if this would be feasible?  Sorta hard to get your mind around the concept if this would even work.  Any thoughts if this is plausible or if it would make financial sense?
634  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cashing in my Litecoins and USD? on: September 01, 2013, 09:30:44 PM
Check out this new site.  You can trade litecoins directly into US$.

https://www.litetree.com

Otherwise as others have said Cryptsy, Vircurex, BTC-E can trade your LTC to BTC.  Then go to Coinbase to trade your BTC into $.

I surely wouldnt trust a new site or a recommendation from a new user with one post.  You are just looking for trouble if you take that advice.  Stick to the more proven websites/exchanges.

I would say this should be added to list:

Women sell positive pregnancy tests on Craigslist for $25 each. . . and there is no shortage of motivated buyers

I think btc-e will send funds to your bank account. Do research to see how long it takes.

This might help you if you use BTC-e

He is accepting to edit his post, he just ask for some tip.
You can agree on the amount ...
How about 0?

Tip should be for a delete...not an edit.   Shocked

Then again......this thread should be trashed by mods.
638  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin alternatives on: September 01, 2013, 12:56:21 AM
Bountycoin is very big. It will probably replace the Bitcoin soon as major coin because it offers strong advantages.

As an expert, I highly recommend buying Bountycoin.

Seriously!?

We should change the forum to BountyCoinTalk.org then.

How stupid.....
639  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-08-30 Forbes - 10 Reasons Bitcoin Is The MySpace Of Money And What Might Sa on: August 31, 2013, 06:36:31 PM
What is funny is the author is somewhat AWARE of bitcoin, but chooses to ignore its potential and sit on the sideline.  Everyday the price continues to rise.  I wonder at what price point he will slap himself and finally jump on board!  Today BTC is $148.  I would suspect by the time it is $275 he will be scrambling to secure a few coins!  Smiley
