~~
Extra prizes include signed Watford F.C. football jerseys!
More details on the promotion page Smiley
http://bit.ly/BitcasinoPromotions
Why I can't see on the current promotions the promotion about the Watford football?
The only listed on the current promotions are:
  • 🍹 It’s time for a Summer Fiesta with Yggdrasil!
  • 🙌 Feel the passion for games with Wazdan!
  • 1st deposit bonus
  • Welcome to the Almighty Sparta!
  • Hold on, it's SUPER BOOM!
Most of the promotions are all about slot machine games and casino, I can't see some football promotion especially on Watford.
Maybe you just didn't make the promotion to the public or this is only on my end?
6222  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Custodial vs. Non Custodial Wallets - "Not your keys, not your coin" Explained. on: August 10, 2019, 08:03:54 AM
Newbies should really know this because I am sure, that almost new people starting to use Bitcoin are using Custodial Bitcoin wallets, which can also help them the ;easy to use', 'easy to set-up' features of those Custodial Bitcoin wallets.
Some custodial bitcoin wallets required some email address or phone numbers, while non-custodial Bitcoin wallets will make them more complicated since they are still new in those things, (they will think where they can store their private keys or how it is really important, how they will use it, etc.).

Check this thread also for more list of Bitcoin wallets: [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?

Hello Sportsbet. I want to ask about the upcoming The International 2019, which one of the biggest prize pool in the history of eSports.
Does Sportsbet prepare any promotion on the games under The International 2019 on the Group Stage from August 15th - August 18th, 2019 or even in the Main Stage on August 20th - August 25th, 2019?
I hope there will be a promotion since the tournament start to buzz especially on the gambling discussion and the prize pool too which is around $32,000,000 as of now.
Thanks.

<...>
Just have one more question. Hopefully there’s a betting sites where we can place are bets. Can’t see it sportsbet?
I'm 100% sure that sportsbet.io will cater the, The International 2019.
As of now you can't still see the list of games maybe Valve or organizer of The International 2019 has not yet finalized the upcoming games or groups for every team who are qualified. Maybe a two or one day before they can release the group of every team, let's hope for that. I'm excited to bet in Sportsbet.io, funds are ready!  Cheesy
6225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One of the Best Weapons in Trading on: August 10, 2019, 06:11:42 AM
I still got confused on you explanation, meaning all I need to is to set the amount in which I think I will be loss. At least if goes down rapidly I am safe for the huge loss. Is that what you're talking about? Just all I know is there many sellers I will sell then if there many buyers I
will buy coins, just simple as that.
Even not rapidly, once your analysis goes on the other side, or if you do chart, once it becomes invalidated(e.g. broke support/resistance, pattern didn't go on what you expected)
Doesn't mean there are many sellers it will go down, or vice versa with buyers, there are many fake huge sell/buy orders just to fool other traders.
6226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 09, 2019, 09:47:33 AM

The prize pool is really huge Shocked, I didn't expect that the prize pool will reach this high, I thought The International 2018 will be higher for all-time.

The upcoming games will be really hype because of the prize pool too. Lot of new gameplays will happen and a lot of people will get rekt in gambling too  Cheesy. It is really much better if we will go to bet on different games once they are on the main stage already? Because of I afraid of some experimental games especially those high tier teams.
But at the start of the games on The International 2019 is good to play some YOLO bet, which I will bet on the higher odds but maybe for a small bet only.
6227  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitPay -- KYC is here! on: August 09, 2019, 12:45:15 AM
Maybe this is also the reason why one of the famous sources for Bitcoin news leaves Bitpay and switched to OpenNode.

A lot of users also too complained about Bitpay. It's time to move on with Bitpay, there are some much better payment provider services especially those accepting also Bitcoin lightning payments. This could be a big negative impact on the side of Bitpay, a lot of people already leaving Bitpay.
What is BitPay ID verification? What documents are accepted? - On their KYC, they are using a third-party company (Onfido) to process the KYC of Bitpay's users, it's still useless.

6230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Winning Streak in a Dice Game on: August 08, 2019, 10:21:33 AM
When you said consecutive, you are not changing the odds?
For example, 49.5% only on 10 dice rolls without changing the percentage?
If something like that, I think it is really pure luck if you can get a lot of consecutive, compare if you are changing the odds and minimizing your bets.
I tried before, without changing the odds, around 49% only, my highest was 4 consecutive wins only but it was also a martingale style and sad to say, ended up bankrupt Grin
6231  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware wallets OLED Display Vulnerability[Trezor One, Ledger Nano S/X, etc.] on: August 08, 2019, 10:03:33 AM
I would agree that this is minor vulnerability, and that users of hardware wallets have no reason to worry too much, this kind of attack is very complicated, and hacker should need to modify your USB cable.
Even Ledger says that it is minor since they don't conduct immediately update for their firmware, unlike Trezor.

Thanks for the heads up. I will be updating my one (Ledger Nano S) today.
Sad to say, Ledger doesn't have any immediate updates about this, as said on their article, it will be on Q4 2019.

6233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippine Basketball Association Finals Discussion on: August 08, 2019, 09:25:18 AM
Castro could have won it for TNT with that last open 3-point shot coming from another offensive rebound.
About the last seconds of the game, it is much better if TNT made an easy two points for that for 3rd overtime, they can do it, they have Terrence Jones that has a specialty on making an easy layup. We don't know, it's already 2nd overtime, all players must be tired especially Jason Castro which played for almost 50 minutes and Terrence Jones for 52 minutes. It's okay, series is tied now.

And TNT is a scoring machine team. ~~
On game 2, they have too much offensive, they did not balance their offense and defense, especially Ryan Reyes which is the best for defense, didn't play even for a second, maybe they really rely on their import and too overconfident. I'm still going for TNT on the game 3 of the finals, let's see how their defense will change.

This list makes Bitcoin complicated to other people because the less it's popular the fewer people will use it. That's why there are still a lot of people thinks that Bitcoin is only for investment and 'if you want to make money go buy bitcoin, bla bla bla'. We treat Bitcoin as money like, we should also treat our bitcoin wallet on mobile devices like we do on our wallet that has some fiats on it, on our pockets.

As I also remember last few months ago, one of my high school friends called me and she asks me if I am working on Bitcoin, eh? She even doesn't know what Bitcoin is.

Details of the OLED Vulnerability and its Mitigation

Quote
This article describes an information leak discovered in the OLED display used by hardware wallets, including Trezor One. We want to explain how this side-channel attack works and what measurements we took to mitigate the threat. This attack affects only the Trezor One; Trezor Model T is immune to this attack thanks to its entirely different display.

Like many hardware wallets, the Ledger Nano S and Ledger Nano X include an OLED screen to display sensitive information. In the case of Ledger’s products, the following information is displayed on the screen:
  • The confidential recovery phrase during the setup,
  • The PIN code entered to unlock the device.
As this information is confidential, we always recommend our users to operate their devices in a secure environment. In an unsafe place, someone could eavesdrop and gain access to critical information, and thus to your crypto assets.

I think TREZOR's countermeasures are better than Ledger's. TREZOR's solution totally equalizes power consumption between different seed words, but sacrifices looks, while Ledger's maintains good looks, but sacrifices a little bit on security (screen content can theoretically still be inferred by power consumption patterns, but the process is now much more difficult).
And also, what I admire in Trezor is they do the action fast, even the vulnerability is not quite risky but they manage to make another version of the firmware update so the security will upgrade, while the Ledger (on this vulnerability, they said, Q4 2019 will be added the mitigates on this vulnerability, since it is too long, maybe they can create much better solution for that vulnerability, we don't know... )
Btw, here's the thread about the recent OLED display vulnerability on some hardware wallets.
6236  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware wallets OLED Display Vulnerability[Trezor One, Ledger Nano S/X, etc.] on: August 08, 2019, 07:01:48 AM
EDIT: Can confirm that you need to use beta-wallet.trezor.io for the new firmware to show up. Otherwise, it updated without wiping for me, so I didn't need to re-enter the seed or anything. Seems to work as described... random white pixels showing up on the screen:
https://i.imgur.com/dTMdb2u.png
Version 1.6.1 and below then update to version 1.6.3 only wipes the device memory as stated in the article, those random pixels on the screen is much better, like for security porpuses, it looks like an additional design for the interface, but overall it is much better especially to secure our hardware wallets.

I still don't understand how could user be affected by this discovery even without updating to the latest firmware?
It is clearly stated that they aren't aware of any equipment that could actually do something like that to Trezor wallet or any hardware wallet with that kind of display.
But the only possible way that can an attacker do is to manipulate the USB connecting to the Trezor One and the computer. They are really not aware, what the user can use to connect their hardware wallet, like the USB cable connecting it to your computer or OTG cable to mobile phones.

Thank you VB1001 for this, I immediately updated my Trezor One hardware wallet firmware and created a thread (Harware wallets OLED Display Vulnerability [Especially Trezor One] UPDATE NOW! on Hardware Wallets board just to inform other hardware wallet users about this vulnerability. Good job  Cool
6239  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Hardware wallets OLED Display Vulnerability[Trezor One, Ledger Nano S/X, etc.] on: August 08, 2019, 05:31:58 AM
This vulnerability is on Trezor One only for hardware wallets of Trezor, Ledger Nano S and Ledger Nano X, but...
This vulnerability also is found on some have a similar feature on OLED display which includes many hardware wallets. So, check your hardware wallets now if they are affected on this OLED display vulnerability.

What will be the possible action of the attacker?
Quote
The attack requires device owners to use USB equipment that has been physically manipulated by an attacker. In other situations, users are not impacted...
An attacker has to trick the targeted device owner into performing sensitive device actions with some sort of malicious USB equipment connecting the Trezor One and the computer.

Recommended to do with your hardware wallets:
For Trezor One:
If you have your Trezor One, it is much better to update your firmware to the latest one which is v1.8.2, updating to the latest version will mitigates the issue.
If you also have any Trezor wallet with a different model, it is still much better if you will update your firmware into the latest one, even the Trezor team also suggest that.
Make sure you have the back-up of your correct recovery seed before updating the firmware.

Read more about the vulnerability here: https://blog.trezor.io/details-of-the-oled-vulnerability-and-its-mitigation-d331c4e2001a

For Ledger Nano S and Ledger Nano X:
Ledger already released their article about the OLED screen vulnerability which can be found here: OLED screen (minor) vulnerability.
Which they leave a statement of updating the firmware for the upcoming firmware updates to be released in Q4 2019..
Quote
As always, users of Ledger Nano S and Ledger Nano X should update their hardware wallets with upcoming firmware updates, to be released in Q4 2019. We further recommend users to set up their hardware wallets by themselves, in a safe place, and storing the recovery phrase securely.

Also thanks for Christian Reitter, an independent security researcher who found this vulnerability.
