or,,, or,,,, darkcoin is overtaking dashcoin in order to migrate the coin into a cryptonote-based coin with another fork!!
now THERE's some FUD. completely unfounded FUD. Enjoy!
or, they simply killed dashcoin to wear its guts around their instamined neck aka steal its name: This whole affair is simply disgusting. It appears that the Darkcoin developers are trying to kill this coin for its name. The reality is that the Dashcoin name belongs to the Dashcoin community and not to whomever made this deal with the Darkcoin developers. My take is that the Dashcoin community should simply fork the coin and keep calling it Dashcoin.
now theres some FACT. it's that disgusting imo. Don't worry, the DASH rebranding fiasco is shaping up to be the catalyst for the exposure of their HYIP scam. They'll never get the rights to the trademark, and the AZ Atty General will be making inquiries regarding their purported Masternode ROI: http://darkcoin.guide/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/masternode_payment_plan.png

The Wind and the Sun An Aesop's Fable
The Wind and the Sun were disputing which was the stronger. Suddenly they saw a traveller coming down the road, and the Sun said: "I see a way to decide our dispute. Whichever of us can cause that traveller to take off his cloak shall be regarded as the stronger. You begin." So the Sun retired behind a cloud, and the Wind began to blow as hard as it could upon the traveller. But the harder he blew the more closely did the traveller wrap his cloak round him, till at last the Wind had to give up in despair. Then the Sun came out and shone in all his glory upon thetraveller, who soon found it too hot to walk with his cloak on.

except that blood diamonds are NOT critical for world trade as a form of money. Bitcoin, otoh, has the distinct possibility to enable frictionless payments across all borders with a strictly known and fixed supply. yes, a gvt can perform irrational tainting acts but they risk isolating themselves and cutting themselves off from what has the potential to fundamentally change commerce. which nation wants to risk that?
Oh, I'm not disputing the triviality of diamonds, nor the ability of Bitcoin's anti-fragility to obsolete, ultimately prevail over, and finally replace TPTB. My point is it will not be a painless nor victimless process, and we should watch our eggs to ensure they are not the ones broken for the sake of making the cryptopian omelet.

To bad we've already archived it...and the cover-up just makes them look more guilty.

Having burned his name, Evan has little choice but to make a career of it. He is unlikely to tire of promoting and advancing his cause. He has demonstrated remarkable genius - questionable perhaps on other grounds, but quite shrewd nonetheless - with the multi-level marketing impact of masternodes. Yes, he has also demonstrated ineptitude in managing image, in concealment, but brazenness has yet to prove itself an impediment. It is likely that he can perpetuate this program for a remarkably long time.
Bringing this back to Monero, we are likely to be held to comparison with drk for a long while. I hope it can be endured with congeniality and equanimity. I agree that continued diligence in managing our own house will bring success to this project and community, and that does not require the decline of any "competitor".
I am more optimistic. It only takes one whistleblower or unhappy victim of Evan and Edward's HYIP scheme to bring down the wrath of State and National authorities. In which case, they cannot "perpetuate this program for a remarkably long time" and Monero will not "be held to comparison with drk for a long while." Just letting them know we know 'where the bodies are buried' may be sufficient to convince them to pull a Friedcat (IE take the money and run) and get out of XMR's hair. IMO, by publishing that Masternode ROI table they well-and-truly screwed the pooch royally. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Think about how you've spent your time for the past 10+ hours from every angle and decide if it was worth it to you. You're probably more angry and bitter than when you started and have accomplished nothing.
Nonsense. Lulz are their own reward. EG: I'm in a great mood and very pleased with my new signature. When are you going to tell us in exactly which post(s) smooth 'slandered developers?' lol yeah I'm pretty proud of the name for my trollaccount ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Now back on topic, I don't see the ponzi man. By your logic proof of stakes are ponzies too? Masternodes are basically proof of stake with a minimum amount of network weight, in this case 1000drk. I can't make a general claim that all PoS coins are Ponzis. Some see all cryptos as Ponzi-esque, some don't. So let's stick to the specific case of DARSH. DARSH meets Arizona law's criteria because of the large 1000drk initial buy-in, as well as the ROI table they published. I really can't believe their lawyer OK'd publishing that ROI table. I doubt they ran it by him first, but could be wrong. Or maybe he's as as dirty as the rest of the board. The high yields offered by the Masternode investment produce qualify as a pyramid scheme because they create an incentive to bring more people into the scheme. I don't know how much more clear I can make it. Fortunately whether or not you "see the ponzi" is not important. What is important is that the proper State & Federal authorities "see the ponzi." And we're drawing them a very detailed picture... ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Is the rebranding gonna happen tomorrow?
Perhaps. But DARSH may never be able to get the trademark for DASH. They are on *VERY* shaky legal ground if they try: anyone who is a holder of Dashcoin could oppose a Darkcoin Foundation registration of Dash if they believe their interests can be damaged by the registration of Dash by the Darkcoin Foundation.
First the jury is very much out on whether the developer of Dashcoin has the right to sell the IP rights to the coin. Furthermore even if we were to grant that the developer did have this right there has been enough commerce done on Poloniex trading Dashcoin and with the functioning of Dashcoin since the so called sale to negate if not dilute those rights. The Darkcoin Foundation is in no position and has not acted to prevent either the functioning of Dashcoin or the trading of Dashcoin.
There a two issues here. First the rights to the Dashcoin name are not the devs to sell.
What the Darkcoin Foundation may have acquired here is enough of an interest in the Dashcoin name to prevent the trademark registration by a third party, if and that is a big if they can show they have acquired a bona fide interest in the Dashcoin name. It may be the case is that simply owning some Dashcoin may be a better way to prevent the third party registration of Dash.
This brings me to my second point there is a good possibility that any holder of Dashcoin may be able to prevent the registration of Dash by Darkcoin foundation in the event the Darkcoin Foundation succeeds in blocking the third party registration of Dash.
In conclusion the Darkcoin Foundation may be able to use the name Dash; however it also may not be able to get the exclusive rights to the name. Preventing someone else from getting trademark rights to a word is a lot easier that obtaining those rights for oneself.
TL;DR: Any attempt by DARSH to trademark DASH will cost a fortune in lawyers, and there's a low probability success.Better to reserve those instamine/Ponzinode derived funds for this: http://www.schneiderfederallaw.com/ponzi-schemes.htmlPonzi Scheme ConsequencesIf you are charged for conducting a Ponzi scheme, you would find yourself facing charges from both the federal government and the State of Arizona. This means that a conviction could lead to fines and prison times for both and the prison terms can be quite lengthy and the fines very high. There have been Fortune 500 executives given very long sentences, especially when the victims of the schemes have been charitable organizations and the elderly. To avoid such long and harsh sentences, Myles A. Schneider, who possesses a degree in Corporate Finance, can defend you to the state and to the federal government to show what really happened. That way you can receive the best outcome possible. Contact A Phoenix Ponzi Schemes AttorneyIf you have been accused of a Ponzi scheme, it is imperative that you seek legal assistance as soon as possible.
