What If,... you're currently playing and suddenly you run out of funds and on the next draw you missed the game which you are about to win the Jackpot.
What would you feel and do about it? Will you stop playing because of that miserable scenario?
Happens to me once, this is something that every gambler should be aware of although unaccepted but it's part of the reality.

Quote
And if that happens in real life, you won the Jackpot by your lucky numbers and suddenly you misplaced the ticket, that's a BIG LOSS already don't you think?
Can you forgive yourself? of course, that's a big heartache you will be blaming yourself for the rest of your life, you will need a lot of help from your family to get this over because this is one chance in a lifetime.

6262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Projects and Bounty . Way forward?? on: October 22, 2019, 05:04:42 PM
So far this year , a lot of scams have occurred in the crypto sphere ranging from projects scamming investors and as well as projects not paying hunters for their works.

What do you think can be done to counter this ill manner behaviors that has been painting cryptocurency bad?

The easiest way is to stop investing in ICO anymore until there is some safety net set up, investing in Cryptocurrency has a risk but investing in ICO double it's a risk, because, for a very long time, we have not seen a good project coming out of ICO, and yet people keep on patronizing these ICO they are still blinded by those glitters and empty promises.
6263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: October 22, 2019, 04:23:16 PM
When up-and-coming DEXs become more convenient than Binance...

Projects like:

Stakenet
Komodo Atomic DEX
Nash
Blocknet
Bisq
Switcheo
Loopring
IDEX
WAVES
Bithumb
...And many more...

Why would anyone ever want to keep using centralized exchanges, especially when their volume becomes irrelevant?

Why would anyone voluntarily send their funds to a wallet on a vulnerable exchange where they don't own the keys and their funds could be frozen at the drop of a hat?

I think the days of centralized figureheads acting as gatekeepers are numbered.

We still have to see that because it's too early I have experienced trading on both exchanges and I find trading on Decentralized Exchange much easier, I really don't like KYC so it's really my choice between the two but some of the coins I'm trading are not listed in DEX but if these Dex's can offer better security and easiness of use then we can expect traders to have it as one of their choices.
6264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem gamblers what can we do to help them help theirselves? on: October 22, 2019, 03:04:05 PM
I was reading meta section and saw a thread complaint about poor posting in the gambling section. I came to the section and look at some threads and realized there did not seem to be any threads made for the gambling crazed losers. Thus I posted this.

I think there's a lot of similar threads like this before they are either buried or locked by the moderators for further spamming,
about your post, the best way to help them is for them to realize that they are very much hooked on gambling, chronic gamblers are always in denial that they are hooked on gambling, telling people that they can stop if they want, but that's not true, they are just lying and do not have a capability to do that, only help from family and friends and rehabilitation can help them.
6265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to restrain yourself at a small loss and not spend money. on: October 22, 2019, 02:05:50 PM
If you can set the rules on how much money you can spend and how much time you can allocate you are good to go, your post applies to a gambler who cannot control how they gamble, they gamble as long as they have the means, and will not give up until they run out of funds.
Restrain is something you cultivate as you go along it's not something you put when you are starting or it will just go the drain.
6266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's acceptance in the World on: October 22, 2019, 01:54:17 PM
There is a major issue which is becoming resistance in the way of Bitcoin to be accepted globally and it is its "Volatility".
In the near past we have seen Bitcoin dropping more than 15% in a matter of 3-4 hours. And there are a number of cases in the past like this.

This property is too much dangerous for any entity which is holding Bitcoin. If a company sells products/services of 10000$ and receive payment in Bitcoin, and bitcoin loses 10% in one day then basically company has lost 10% worth of their products.

Scenarios where gross profit margins of the companies are less, this property makes nearly impossible to accept payments in Bitcoin. If volatility of bitcoin is decreased in the future, it would be  a major step ahead.

The rewards are much higher than the risk, there is a risk that it could go that way going down 10% of the value of the product or services, but there is also a possibility that rewards could go higher and it could be much higher the last week than the previous lost, it's something that every merchant should understand, and so far the drop in the price for the past months are not going 10%, merchants should accept the volatility of the market, because the rewards outweigh the risk.
6267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Adopt New coins ? on: October 22, 2019, 09:49:40 AM
Hi,

So Bitcoin has issues like speed of transactions and energy consumption.

As there is no 'team' behind bitcoin, how is it going to develop and make sure it is always competing with newer coins?

There are alot of coins resolving these issues and people are buying into them, but why if bitcoin is considered No. 1 ? Is there a possiblity the  new coins could be linked with bitcoin or that  future bitcoin 'integrates with them and  their technology which therfore increases their prices?

Trying to understand this universe!

Thanks in advance

L

You need to dig further, bitcoin is a complete coin, if it is not there will be no cryptocurrency to speak off and it's not going to be the number coin in the market right now, at this point of time, talks about replacing Bitcoin should be out now, we are progressing in adoption let people coming get into Bitcoin first, this is so far out biggest attraction so far for new people who would like to explore Cryptocurrency.
6268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum and Satoshi on: October 22, 2019, 08:16:00 AM
this was already discussed a million times (use search). Satoshi's account here is locked and besides posting on that account does NOT prove anything as bitcointalk database is not the safest thing in the world compared to a digital signature from a bitcoin private key!

The digital signature is the biggest proof of ownership it is the one thing that we all been waiting for, for several times so many impostors are coming without this proof, but still proud to boast that they are the real Nakamoto, we are tired of people coming without knowing how to open the official wallet of Satoshi Nakamoto, hopefully in the future, the real Satoshi will come if he is still alive, so everything will be settled once and for all.
6269  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Inheriting Bitcoin on: October 22, 2019, 01:34:45 AM
While I was browsing the latest Bitcoin news to search for an update positive and negative once then I stumble upon this article that insists that you can now pass on your Bitcoin when you die when you used their service,

And this is Casa's Bitcoin inheriting Service that I think will surely be helpful in the future when you passed away (knock on the hood) and your family and relative doesn't know a thing about cryptocurrency and your Pass Phrase as well, Well I think there is a risk involved in this kind of service your relatives can sure recover your Private key but it can be also an exploit to be stolen as well, but they had promised a multi-sig system that can make the inheritance safer what do you guys think?

https://cryptoslate.com/you-can-now-pass-on-crypto-with-casas-new-bitcoin-inheritance-service/
It's good to have a service like this, but I prefer to create a video and a vault where it houses all my private keys from USB, a video explainer that will explain everything about all the coins I'm holding, how to transact trade and open the wallet, your family will be holding a coin it's just right that they know how it works.
It's even better that you teach your family how Cryptocurrency works so when the times comes to inherit all your coins, they know what to do.
6270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would ICO scene succeed if it was organized like crowdfunding not investing? on: October 21, 2019, 06:24:43 PM
If this is the case then developers will not have a hard time asking for money since nobody will complain that he's been scammed, this is our hard-earned money, it is just right that what we put will yield profit, there's no such thing as free money, the developers owed to their investors to give something in return, crowdfunding and investing for me is the same, there should be return on what you give, it's a give and take and not the other way around.
6271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: October 21, 2019, 04:39:30 PM

as a borower you have the right to use the money on anything even on gambling and as a lender its not thier business anymore to ask if what will be the purpose of those loans but as long as you both agree on the terms and condition   .  loaned money should be payed on the deadline , if not he can accuse the lender or increase his interest  .  i think even if he dont pay it , he wont loose his friend because his friend will understand the reason  . if he is a real true friend

If a friend asks  a loan and his reason is he will use it to gamble, I don't think I will give him a loan, people should only gamble with the spare money and just to be entertained not to use his friend's money to gamble, and besides, that's a big amount and he lost it in just one night, it's like throwing away money that quick, if you are going to loan a friend you should know what the loan is for, many friendships are broken because of loan.
6272  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: WalletRecoveryServices Reviews? on: October 21, 2019, 04:13:08 PM

6273  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Christian men marry more than one wife? on: October 21, 2019, 03:42:46 PM
Christian men can marry more than one wife no bible verses is against polygamy

There's no mentioned in the bible that Christian can have more than one wife or it is promoting polygamy, rather it is teaching loyalty and honesty to his wife, I am not fond of reading the bible, but most of the Christians church or sects teaches loyalty to one wife only
but since some Christian countries already have divorced, they can marry more than once.
6274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 21, 2019, 01:49:35 PM
Have you ever thought of donating the gambling profits to a charitable cause ?  Sometime people won a big lottery or very high amount of money from betting & gambling games.  Do you ever thought of being generous and helping the poor with this money ?

When you won a big amount of money, you should share your blessings to the needy one, this is a must so there will be a continuation of the blessing, and of course, since you won a big amount and you are going to live differently now, you should give to those who have already have lesser in life, this is a way of thanking the Lord for the blessing because not many people have been given this kind of blessing.
6275  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcointalk User Demographic Poll - What Race Are You? on: October 19, 2019, 10:43:55 AM
And I thought there's no poll like this here on Bitcointalk, honestly, I'm not aware of the actual number or do we have exact data that can tell us how many Asians or Americans or Europeans are here but this poll will give us an indication, our only indicator is the local boards, but there are people who are not active in their respective local boards, I'm from Asian which in this poll is the second most number of poll but I expect this to grow as there are still many Asians not yet voting here.
6276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin May Extinct on: October 19, 2019, 03:49:28 AM
Why are people are keep on digging this thing? Saying that the Bitcoin may extinct? I am afraid that this truly might happen.

Because they need to post on this forum, and this topic is easy to discuss and get spammed. If you're talking about value, you will likely find nothing.

Extinct or not, it's useless to talk about it. The 'may' question itself is rhetorical. Unless you want to measure how likely it is, you can always say anything is possible. So, asking 'may it happen' will always result in a 'yes' answer.

I don't impose on anybody on what to post and what not but you are right but a topic like this that cannot be proven should not discuss at all it's FUDS if people have that thinking, and we all know people are always going on a safe side they will not invest, the question that if Bitcoin is going to be extinct is always off topic because it's been proven not to by the experts.
6277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are excited everytime we see a new coin without knowing it first on: October 18, 2019, 03:19:29 PM
Everytime there are coins that are being advertise we get excited
we make rumors and lots of noise without knowing it forst hand
we are just excited about the bounty , and sharing links to others
to make lots of refferal and bonus
but at the end of the campaign after we found out its a bust we then release are sentiments toward it, how it fails and the campaign
I think we should understand that everything are not perfect and we should be willing to move on after it , instead of wasting time and hate over the project this should be what we should do

Well I'm not, been into so many coins promoted so many of them  and invested in some of them, no new coins can excite me anymore, after seeing what looks like a good project to just go to waste, maybe those who are new into the market are excited to promote and invest in these new coins, these news coins have a lot to prove not in their crowdfunding stage but in the market, so many new projects are good in their ICO but failed miserably in the market and there are so many of these coins, some of them even landed in the scam sections.
6278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hated Personalities in the World of Bitcoin on: October 18, 2019, 06:25:28 AM

In every industry or market, there will always be people whom many loves and many hates. And in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, there is no exemption here. While hating is not a good business, expressing some dislike can be a healthy one.

As far as being hated, I can think of at least two personalities, and we know why many don't like them: Roger Ver the man behind BitcoinCash and of course Craig Wright who earned the moniker as "faketoshi" as he is continually claiming to be the real guy and behind the Bitcoin SV (the original Bitcoin, according to its site).

Can you add more, please.

Mcafee can be added but the guy is very bullish on Bitcoin and has a strong belief that Bitcoin will reach 1 million, nobody here thought of that only him, we should praise him just for this, Craig Wright is the most hated for committing the grave sin of claiming to be Satoshi, but the community is wiser to believe that he is, because he cannot do the simple thing of opening the wallet that Nakamoto own.
6279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]:Crawford vs. Kavaliauskas on: October 18, 2019, 05:45:07 AM
Kavaliauskas wasn't too convincing in his last outing which ended in a draw by majority decision. But both boxers go into this fight undefeated. Crawford would almost certainly be the favorite to win this bout. But with the strings of surprises we've had this year, he would need to take the gloves off, and prepare adequately for his opponent.

I do not even know who this fighter is hehe.

In any case, this is why boxing's popularity is declining. The best are not fighting the best anymore. I reckon only Manny Pacquiao is the only latest boxer that has taken that challenge in 8 different weight divisions.

We can blame this to their respective promoters, they want to protect their cash cow by letting them fight low-level fighter, if they agree to let their fighter fight fighters of good caliber from different promotion and lost the fight he will lose future multi-million dollar deal so they opted to fighters that they think their fighter can easily beat, we'll have a hard time to see Crawford meet Spence although they should meet in the ring, respective promoters protect their interest, not boxing..
6280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin and casinos on: October 18, 2019, 03:34:07 AM
I have worked for a few years in a casino and I couldn't help but imagine that people should be able to gamble with bitcoin.

Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

And do you think this will be future of casinos?

Not really surprising, if merchants can add or use it why not casinos, there are many gamblers online that are Bitcoin investors that wants to gamble in casinos and they want to use their Bitcoin to gamble, if they are not yet added I'm sure majority of their gamblers will request to add Bitcoin, gambling operation always evolves and they want mileage and to covert a lot of territories it will be to their advantages if they can add Bitcoin.
