I have seen this occurrence in the past with different coins and always thought it to be a Chrome security feature as indicated by EMIF. Never had the issue with other browsers... Will do some testing this morning to try to replicate this as it is not ideal as digit has suggested. FWIW, just downloaded the Mac client on Chrome and no warning. Will get into PC testing at the office.
The chrome thing just happened while i trying to transfer it over to virustotal from mega so i could post a result here, never seen it before, but just an additional thing that came up anyhow Virustotal - the results here - https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/af11104e7f653ca6dc0267573bff662a4172d7aa4a717cae1387b465d847fd81/analysis/ its results are looking better then the previous CBX release which had a higher number of products detect it, with this current release of CBX walletqt its only Kaspersky thats detects it as "Trojan.Win32.IRCbot.vit" Kaspersky products i've been using for a long time along and many different wallets under it, and I can only recall a few of those ever got blocked, because of the IRC parts in the code in older bitcoin for finding nodes that made it seem like a trojan. The previous CGB wallet worked without issue under kaspersky so i can only conclude its something new that been added in the IRC related parts of the code that Kaspersky doesnt like. Its more an annoyance then a problem for me as i have to disable my AV everytime to run the wallet (actually even open the folder as kaspersky automatically quarantines it lol) but something devs should be aware of. If it were some unknown company antivirus it would prob not matter but this is Kaspersky so its ranks a higher what they think imho Noted. Great feedback, thanks! I will get with raizor on this and review/resolve.

Its not the website, as its hosted on mega. also i dont have that option enabled and I download from mega frequently, its main file host i use.
Doesnt matter , I guess. I meant the website referring as where you are downloading from. So , even if its in mega, chrome behaves it "This is an exe , I should give some warning , It has been downloaded a few times or none! So ,I must keep away people from downloading it!" BTW- If you cant see the setting for privacy , you can click show advanced settings. After that you should see privacy settings and untick the related part. JustBob, it is sounding to me like you may have a corrupted wallet.dat causing an issue with compatibility. So you know and to put one thing to rest, raizor has done a phenomenal job with the new client and I am extremely proud of the product and its functionality. We will continue to evolve and improve the client, but I am confident new users of CBX are downloading and using a quality product and are not turned off or away by it (or by this community). That being said, there is the issue at hand that you are experiencing. We will have to work you through this. First we need to identify the problem for certain though. Please make sure that the new client (without your old wallet.dat) is working properly for you as step one. Also, our back and forth communication will be easier and more effective via email if you don't mind. You can reach us directly at cryptobullion.io@gmail.com. Thanks.

JustBob - I am not sure when you (or anyone else for that matter) were ignored when asking for CBX related technical assistance in this thread (or historical thread) - but if something was missed, I do apologize.
In order to clarify regarding your reported client issue, is the issue occurring when you bring in the old wallet.dat? Does the client work properly when using a newly generated wallet.dat?

Nah I think fonzie got it. A mega bull run to 1000's of dollars seems a bit unlikely right now :p
Another competition sounds great, I can pledge 100 CBX towards it if you come up with something (PM me).
I will donate 100 CBX to this as well

Voted for CBX. However , we need just more than this. There are some other rare coins around like Fibre and Unobtanium. I think they are attracting more attention.
We need to increase the attention by doing some efforts. I dont know what efforts , but CBX's volume is so long and price is so low. It is definitely undervalued but no one is interested.
If you want to do something then please help promote the voting for CBX there. It will be good to have our logo there. Anything helps really, ask your friends. When we reach the goal we can set a new goal or if anyone want to suggest one come forward I can tell some of my friends and hopefully bring 2 votes. We are -compared to other coins- a small community. I believe we need some extra development efforts. For example , there are some efforts for developing decentralised exchanges like BitBay or Mercury based on Cross-Chain Atomic Swap protocol. The latter one is also open source. Here is the btt link. Actually the dev of mercury doesnt want to add low volume coins. But devs of CBX can fork it and add CBX to fork. If we can add CBX to some decentralised exchanges , we wont be limited to centralised exchanges and it will also give to trade CBX for different coins like DOGE. Hello EMIF and thank you for your support and suggestions. We are very fond of all things decentralized and this certainly includes exchanges. I actually have personally reached out to the developer of Mercury a couple of weeks ago. As you stated, we could certainly fork their project if a collaboration is not in the cards. At this time however, our primary focus is on maximizing block chain security and we have an innovative way to do this and to simultaneously generate some serious excitement. As mentioned recently, the white paper draft is complete and will be released once implementation is closer to a reality. In the meantime, we will certainly be keeping an eye on the decentralized exchange landscape to see how and when CBX can take a step into that arena. Thanks and keep the suggestions and support coming.

I shot www.coingecko.com an email the other day about updating their information following the CBX rebranding, just checked and i see that they have sorted it! I wasn't actually aware of coingecko before, I just came across it while looking for sites with outdated info, but i like the idea they have of rating coins by liquidity, development and community. I also wrote to coinplorer but no success as yet. Thank you! I have been in contact with coinplorer so they are aware and promised to update. That was however 9 days ago and no update yet so the reminder should be helpful.

Are there any members of the community who would care to be of assistance with refreshing and moderating the Crypto Bullion subreddit (still branded Cryptogenic Bullion)? There has been little traffic/attention for some time from visitors or administrators so would really need someone ambitious to give it a spark of life again. Let me know if interested please.
No, but you could grant me access to the Twitter account for some help once awhile. Just tweeting promo's and related info. Then I can also RT them with my main account @CryptoTraders. (I would get access to the DM's as well so you should concidder that or delete them) (And only if you feel comfortable with it) Your twitter talents are welcomed! PM'd you - thanks.
