What people seem to forget: Maybe Dogecoin community doesn't want to merged mine together with LTC.

Thanks and sorry for possibly bad publicity, was fed up with the copypasted answers by support, even though they probably were reasonable.

Yes we can recover some coins sent in this fashion there are situations where this is not the case. You will get your coins more than likely but yes its slow. As we cannot just hand out the secret keys the coins recovered in this fashion can only be done so by certain individuals. Any automated solutions must be tested thoroughly. Sorry for any delay.
Thanks for your answer. What made me mad was how the timeframes I got were all over the place, I was "promised" this to be resolved in 72 hours initially. I know it was my mistake, but I feel a month is way too long. Also I'm not alone waiting over a month: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/22evjc/a_month_ago_i_sent_100k_doge_to_a_digicoin/cgm5fg5Is the amount of users making this mistake so high that doing this manually is out of question?

This would only apply if there were a real market for those coins, but there is none. Look at what happened to DOGE since the first halving. Did it double in price? No, it did the opposite. Why? Because there is no market, no real demand, pure PONZI.
The only chance I see for Litecoin is to make some good distance to the competitiors by innovation. Not by flawed assumptions whose only goal is to scam more investors out of their money.
People told the same about Quarkcoin, the first block reward halvings came and the coin lost a lot of value. Then it halved to 32QRK and bam, 50000% rise in 3 days or so. I think all this talk about algo and spec changes is nonsense and hurts the stability of the coins in question. Merged mining may be useful, not 100% on that yet.

I was wondering about trying pywallet but have never used it. If anyone with loads of experience could tell me if it's worth bothering then that would be great. I think I made backups of the wallet before I created then deleted the address. I know there should be a pool of 100 addresses when the wallet file was created. I'm just not sure what happens when you delete an address. Does it stay in the wallet without being displayed in the Qt, or is it just deleted?
I'm a noob but from what I know: If you have a backup from before you created the address the private key could indeed be in there. You could try to dump all private keys out of the backupped wallet with pywallet and import them into the qt-client. Or (backup current wallet first ofcourse) take that old backup of yours and just create hundred addresses, theoretically the address you want should be in there. But take all that with a grain of salt as I am not very educated about this.

cryptsy doesnt recover coins sent to wrong address read their tos.
perhaps its too annoying for em
I have repeatedly been told that users did the same mistake as me and got their coins back. Cryptsy support also told me they'd recover the coins. Feel free to point out the section you are referencing to: https://www.cryptsy.com/pages/termsI feel your pain because I sent coins tothe wrong address once. In my case I was sending them from an exchange to my own wallet. However, I had deleted the address I was sending to from my wallet. I can see mu coins have been sent to the address in the block explorer, but I think I lost them forever because I deleted the address from my wallet.
That sucks... I'm not very educated when it comes to the inner workings of wallets, but are you sure the private key to the address has been deleted out of your wallet file aswell? Might be able to get the key with pywallet for example, but that's just a wild guess. very sorry for op
Awww thanks.

have you tried with the dumpprivkey trick?
The address is under cryptsy's control. Tech support is (allegedly) coding an automatic solution for this, I'd prefer them doing it manually for now as I am waiting so long already.

Personally I think competing for miners is a great thing, coinwarz!

they are lost forever
Considering how slow cryptsy support is that might be actually true... If they wanted to they could retrieve them in 5 minutes. Also, the first message to the second ticket I sent, 3 weeks ago: Please give this 24-72 hrs as our tech support team must respond in order of tickets received. Please let me know when your deposit has gone thru. Yeah...

Scrypt clones should just be killed off, they serve no purpose other than to dilute and confuse the market.. is that a good thing ?
Litecoin = Scrypt clone (forgot Tenebrix and Fairbrix eh?)

So I sent 100k+ DOGE to a Digitalcoin (DGC) address a month ago. The support at the exchange ( unnamed for now cryptsy) I did this is friendly, but won't actually help. How hard can it be? From my understanding they'd have to do two simple commands: digitalcoin daemon: dumpprivkey AddressIsentTheCoinsTo dogecoin daemon: importprivkey yourPrivateKeyInWalletImportFormat https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_import_private_keys_v7%2BWhat am I missing? Last answer I got: I really apologized but since the coins sent to the wrong address are difficulty to recover and take extra time away from the development of important site features. We are currently working on a system to automate this and appreciate your patience with the situation Getting quite impatient after a full month. So is site development > user support? Did they really not find the 5 minutes this would take to resolve over the course of one month? inb4 I'm a moron.

Check your trade history duh? That said, I'm pretty fed up with cryptsy's support. I accidentally sent 100k Dogecoins to a Digitalcoin address (yea I know), immediately contacted support who said they'd be able to recover the coins. Waiting for a month already, always get told "tech support is on it"...

I bought a 100$ zeevex card in January to buy Steam money. Bought 10$ of Steam credit because I didn't want to spend it all on keys and skins yet. Sadly they removed Steam and now I have 90$ credits I have no use for. Looking for 85$ in Bitcoin at current market price. If you want escrow, tell me which escrow service you prefer. I also can gift the card to your gyft.com account or send the code per PM (when you add the code to your zeevex account I'll have no longer control over the funds). List of vendors accepting zeevex: https://www.zeevex.com/vendors
