I also am concerned about the news of exchanges in China are going to be shut downed by the end of this month. What will be status of NEO under new changed situation in China. How much it will affect by those measures ? If someone say it will keep growing then why do you think so ? I want some opinions to decide for my next move.
The bottom line is that for the shorterm, NEO will probably market perform. In the longterm many our speculating China will re-open exchanges, but with restrictions. Namely China wants to be able to track all transactions. There is talk China may issue their own crypto with AML/KYC built in and only it could be used for trading (instead of BTC). Keep in mind NEO has AML/KYC built into it so they could help with this coin. Also NEO can work outside of China just fine as well. |

I downloaded the wallet and wanted to withdraw my coins from exchanges but the step where you need to enter your seed manually is really a conversion killer. Have you perhaps considered making that more user friendly? I can only imagine the number of users that were put off by that step.
It is a good feature for security. I would suggest you copy and paste it from a quality password manager. |

NEO is an international platform with Chinese developers. NEO doesn't need to China's name to be successful. NEO is more powerful and useful than ethereum. for e.g NEO is decentralized but Ethereum isn't and dozens more...
No, but the Chinese developers need to get paid and if they can't then work on the project stops. As I pointed out more than a week ago, the biggest risk to NEO is being delisted in China. They also raised money back in 2014 using clearly ICO for Antshare. I don't know how they will not have any impact of People's bank of China. I am also double minded now and have sold out large portion of my NEO tokens already. I have kept some portion in case things looks good and can be fixed somehow to not regret later. I have secured my investment to be honest.
The most immediate threat to NEO and other ICO tokens is delisting from Chinese exchanges, if this happens then it will significantly reduce the trade volume. Now 3 Chinese exchanges have halted NEO trading so there is a very real chance that they all might delist NEO because it is an ICO token. This is on top of the news reports that ALL exchanges in China may also shut down. If the developers cannot access their funds then it will make it much much harder for them to push the project forward. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neo/#BTCI suspect it will be a long time before NEO is able to get back on track and the token is likely to slowly bleed out until that happens because a huge amount of people bought this token expecting it to be big in China. The bans may only be "temporary" but we really don't know how long "temporary" actually is. It could be a few months or it could be a few years. Such is the nature of speculative investments. They will be able to use a decentralized exchange like Komodo's to exchange for Bitcoin. Then they will have to find a local bitcoin (guy on the street) exchange to get CNY. |

Anyone know why Cryptopia has delisted Sia?  As I recall the volume was very low for SIA on that exchange, so probably not worth all the time required to support the wallet. |

Why repeat the same known things again and again? My guess, is he's hoping it goes back to $5 with FUD (unlikely). The reality is when this temporary ban from China is over NEO will likely be positioned to be the top ICO issuer in China with it's built in AML/KYC. |

I just had an idea. Currently I store many of my personal details on password protected PDFs and word files on Google Drive. I hope that is secure, but it is still technically possible for someone to hack and get my information, as it's stored centrally. What SiaCoin, Storj etc. are doing is they make it technically impossible to access the files as the files are encrypted, split up and distributed across the network and there is no way to get the original file other than having the private key to do so. So, private and secure storage could be a huge application for Decentralised storage!  You shouldn't store any passwords and few personal details on Google Drive if you can avoid it. I think word encryption is a joke. But I agree SIA will make such storage much safer. |

Bitcoin raise affect Gup price bad. Price went back to 4200-4400 sat and there's no buy support. If somebody sell 3 BTC worth of GUP now price would be only 2000 sat. Matchpool team need to put at least 10-15 BTC buy order otherwise price will soar more.
I diagree, they should be concentrating on developing the product. Price increases will come with a solid real product. |

There are few problems, but this altcoin looks to be the most promising for mid-long hold.
really a good project and this very cheap, I remember when it was worth 300 satoshi, and think that it fell so much I spread mine of 20 coins.
How can you monitor all those coins? With google spreadsheet. I create a tab for each coin, and grab the prices in USD and BTC from function calls to exchanges with web service API calls. On the 1st tab of the spreadsheet I grab key data for all the coins and get a summary of their value. I also grab the hourly, 24 hour and 7 day change for each coin. I also place sell targets here as well. Wow, you are a savage, man. Handling so many coins in a professional way. Seems like you have got a lot of experience!! I am developer so like things organized. Crypto can be a little complex with wallets, exchanges and such so I like to know where everything is. Also come tax time I will know cost basis and if it is a short or long term gain. |

Train starts moving shopping time is now! Fingers crossed! I'm all in!  Don't put your eggs all in one basket, I spread mine of 20 coins. Shitcoins get a small %. Quality coins like Sia get 5%+ of the total portfolio. Poverty mindset has been pounded into you; my deepest sympathies. Poor people believe you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket, billionaires put all their eggs in one basket and do everything in their power to make sure their basket isn't knocked over. Well I am doing just fine. Up 40x this year with a diversified portfolio, how are you doing? Also I am all in in cryptocurrencies in my non-IRA portfolio, so my eggs are all in one basket in a sense. |

The ico's are forbidden now in china. And NEO had big plans with it. On what will they focuse now ?
They can still perform ICO's for non-Chinese investors. Also when the ICO regs come out of China, I am sure NEO will do everything it can to conform to them. |
