6401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More and more airdrop is a lie, on: November 23, 2017, 06:45:57 AM
More and more airdrop is a lie, I do not recommend participation in airdrop, because there are at most a few 100 airdrop quality, so I think it should not be a waste of time.

Agreed on this statement this is why i do left already on airdrop matters since they are not worth to waste of my time. When we do compare airdrops back in the past those are the good days which most of them do really give big amounts of coins and do have capability to have value after its being distributed which we can able to make money on those times but on now they are becoming strict. Requirements tighten but the rewards have been decreased and yet ending up on recieving a shit coin that doesnt have value later on.
6402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China to launch Wechat coin on: November 22, 2017, 03:40:31 PM
China's direction in this is clear.

Early in 2018 they will launch a blockchain based coin linked with wechat and allied with Alibaba. Because it will be instantly useable to more than a billion people for all daily shopping actitivites it will quickly spread beyond China and become the dominant coin.

Also, all the miners located in China will switch to the wechat coin, leaving the other coins with huge problems.
Would you mind to share the link about the news? I cant able to find it. If this news is true then wechat coin would only benefit chinese people since it is just focusing for their own people. I have seen that they are already using digital payments. I just forgot the name. I dont think miners would leave out specially on bitcoin. There might be some possibility of such switch off but i cant think that they would rather focus on new coin than on the established one.
6403  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitconnect is scam? on: November 22, 2017, 02:20:03 PM
Anything that claims to give out huge returns in a short period of time turns out to be a ponzi scheme. Bitconnect might be a ponzi scheme too but the thing is it has been designed in such a way that everybody in that platform makes a profit. I don't say Bitconnect will last forever but it is a good opportunity now to invest in it since the platform will run atleast for more than 1-2 years which is more than sufficient to get the investment back with profits. Just 4 months are enough to get the capital amount back through daily interests and then after that just wait and watch your money grow.
Imagine reaching out ROI for a short span of time isnt an indication for a legit investment and the primary reason why her girlfriend did invest on bitconnect because he was blinded on those returns. The same story on all eho did invest on this coin.Imagine out continous interest for a short period of time. I can say that it wont really sustain for too long even in 2 years period. No one knows on when this thing to collapse as long we are making money and already gained roi then just go with the flow.
6404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daytraders Questions... Calculating Trading Profit and Locking In Profits on: November 22, 2017, 09:29:27 AM
I don't day trade, I find it very stressful. More often than not I hold my bitcoins for as long as I can. However, I have traded in the past, and not just cryptocurrencies. If you are receiving less btc than you had before initiating the Lisk trade, I consider it a loss. The btc - usd price has no bearing here.

Lets assume the price of bitcoin drops, what then? Would you still consider it a profitable trade? I doubt it.
This is why i did stop on becoming an active day trader because it do really give me stress rather than enjoyment on engaging into trading field.I have experienced forex trading and stocks. Being scalper isnt really easy since you would really need to be active when theres sudden movement on prices. How much more on bitcoins or altcoins. Prices are way too volatile you should have active eyes, active thinking and have active hands. hehe
6405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many video cards do you have in your country? on: November 22, 2017, 09:06:05 AM
How many video cards do you have in your country? I'm from Russia here are my numbers.

570 4gb                    296
580                           338
vega 56                     720
vega 64                     762

1060 3gb                    254
1060 6gb                    296
1060 mining edition     254
1070                           508
1070 ti                        593
1080                           627
1080 ti                        966
Just to ask. How did you get those numbers? You do have in relation on some shops or even to the distributor which you do able to know the accurate numbers of GPU in your country. Those numbers might be big on some eyes but on this crypto forum those numbers are not sufficient knowing that GPU demands are already high because of the booming crypto mining industry. For now i dont have any idea on how many gpu do available on my place but im quiet sure that they are really running out of stocks because some do bought on bulks.
6406  Economy / Economics / Re: The Supply of Bitcoin Is Limited. The Supply of Cryptos Isn't! on: November 22, 2017, 08:20:49 AM
... but what make it interesting is that crypto's are using blockchain technology which is  decentralized, has privacy and transparency so there came the new hope to those who want to have financial freedom.

Fiat money (as we have today) is not the only way for the imperial elites to control the world.  (In fact, I believe it's one of the less desirable, from their point of view.)

Remember, before Bitcoin, there was silver and gold.  Those are decentralized, anonymous, and limited-supply too.  What the elites did back then was to hold enough precious metals to sell them at a fixed paper-money price.  This was effectively a suppression of gold and silver so the elites could continue to print money and debt.  (It was called the 'gold/silver standard.')

But they lost most of their gold this way, and don't yet want to embarrass themselves by 'pegging' to gold and silver again, at a price high enough to maintain stability, which would be much higher than today.

After Bitcoin (and cryptos) has risen to a high enough level, the elites will do to it the same thing they did to gold and silver.  This has been my whole thesis of why Bitcoin and cryptos are allowed/driven to go up.
Nice presumption and i do agree on that things that you do explain on here. Elites would really find a way to control over things because they do have already the motives on their mind regarding on the plan that being already set out incase they would able to succeed. They might regret for some actions but they would really need to take the risk for the benefit or success of their own plans. Just like you do illustrate on Gold/silver, there would really be regrets but they dont take it seriously since they are already benefited and now they would possibly jump in again on new era which they can see that theres money involvement.
6407  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: November 22, 2017, 07:22:51 AM
so my tether deposit will add to my balance or another thing ??
Does it shows pending on your status or transaction history? If yes, then most likely they would credit it soon. Just like what happen on my eth transaction. It still keeps on loading up and stuck for how many hours already.I didn't notice the announcement that they are having maintenance on ETH wallet which they don't really accept withdrawal or deposit which causes for me to be caught in the middle and now I'm just waiting on what would happen next. Cool

if u mean "  Latest transactions  "

no, I don't see it on there

but I see my transaction in omniexplorer.info  and it confrimed
Have you tried to access the site again this time?I have the same situation with carlfebz2 which my eth deposits been stucked because of the maintenance but  it is already credited into my account. Im sure you can able to see balance because everything went fine for now when im using the site as of this moment. They load up fast and they already fixed the load up issues last night as i have emailed their support regarding on the situation.
6408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many coins should you HODL? on: November 22, 2017, 06:38:55 AM
Hey guys today i have a special question.
i am HODLing 11 different coins right now including bitcoin...it that too much or should i spread even more?

My opinion is make a wide spread so your dont have that big loss. on the other hand also not that big win...

What do you think?
Its much better if you do hold as much as you can but only on those coins which are really worth to hold on not just trying to buy any coin that you like and hold it off for years. This is just like gambling because you are hoping that coin would possibly pump up but situation does really depend because not all the times a certain coin do pump. Most of them do dump forever until they died. For now i am holding 20+ coins but not totally purchasing them but been accumulated on bounty campaign. Less risk since you dont pull out money from my pocket.
6409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam? on: November 21, 2017, 09:28:52 PM
Some real ICO's couldn't find enough money to run the project, some just hit their softcap.
Some fake ICO's make hardcap in a few minutes. So collecting money is not an indicator if project is scam or legit.
You can see fake ICO's that collect money, actually laundering money. You can also see legit ICO's that couldn't get recognition from big investors.
This is what i observe too which most fake ICO do really reach their hardcap in no time even on pre-sale periods it is being sold out which it can contribute for the project to be hyped up even more when people see that theres soo much interest on that one. Without seeing on the other side which legit ICO's do commonly fail because of lack interest and didnt able to achieve their target funding. This is why ICO now becoming a business not totally on having the aim of new innovation and a great contribution either on online of offline world.
6410  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do I need not to give up my bitcoins? How does that going to benefit in the on: November 21, 2017, 08:48:12 PM
Why do I need not to give up my bitcoins? How does that going to benefit in the long run??
If you do like to earn profits then you would normally not tend to give up your Bitcoins since we do all know Bitcoin=Money and people do really loves money.Right? When it comes on benefits then it will really give an assurance specially on longer runs or future years to come that it will really pays you off on holding it but it would really depend on how much bitcoin you are holding on.These kind of questions doesnt really have point at all since we can able to answer it for our own selves.
6411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: guidance on buying first BCT on: November 21, 2017, 08:14:04 PM
You can go to the Marketplace > Currency Exchange in the forum and try to find out who is willing to trade with you, with your current rank and activity you will most likely need an escrow in order to have someone selling their Bitcoin to you. Also with an escrow involve in your transaction meeting with the seller is not needed anymore, just remember that when picking an escrow it must be a trusted one with a good reputation. In the currency exchange you can offer any kind of payment as long as the seller is accepting it, try to find out yourself.

Is an Escrow similar to a Brokerage Service?  Are those terms the same or different? If difference, what are the differences?  Thanks
Escrow do acts as a middle man in your transaction among the other party you have made an agreement. Both would really require to send bitcoin and the payment of yours equivalent on how much you did bought since you are buying bitcoin then seller will give you up on the latest or the recent exchange price of bitcoin at that moments.Once all required things have been set out then you will recieve those coins and also using escrows do have some fees but not to worry since they do charge up small amounts.
6412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INSANE BITCOIN TRANSACTION FEES!!!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< on: November 21, 2017, 07:36:04 PM
I pay 10-30 Sat/B and I don't think this is too much. People that pay more are either rich or newbies.
Completely the same on how we gonna set-out our fees depending on our needs and do suits us. Its not really necessary for me to have fast confirmations this is why i dont really worry too much on these kind of things since i can set-out lesser the amount that have been suggested by the network. If its not needed then better to change it and make it lower but if you are in a rush then sacrifice on paying up huge fees which is really a dumb thing for me and wasting off money.
6413  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning aceminers.com is a scam on: November 21, 2017, 07:00:37 PM
I am guilty of trying to get involved in bitcoin too fast.   I placed an order and sent BTC to aceminer.com thinking I finally found a place that is selling the S9 for only a little over the bitmain price. WRONG!  I am out $2k and have no other option to deal with my loss besides posting here help someone else avoid the mistake.   I am kicking myself for an expensive lesson learned. I can see the address I sent my funds to is receiving money in the same rough increments about 1-2/hr.

This is unbelievable and disappointing in myself and others that go to his effort to steal!

Hope someone will avoid the mistake I just made.

Its really a hard lessons to learn buddy. There are a lot of scam sites out there trying to get advantages of bitcoin becoming famous. I guess this is just one of thousands websites out there victimizing unsuspecting individuals of their hard earn money.

Not to rub it in but you should be willing to pay premium if you are really into mining, there's no such thing as cheap mining hardware or at a discounted price. Anyways, yes, thank you for posting this here so that it will others who are thinking of buying on that website should have a fair warning.
Its not just hard but a costly way on learning up things on our mistakes that we done.Just been suggested above it would be more appropriate to post this thread on scam accusations so that public would really be aware on this scam site and would avoid those newbies to fall on buying miners on this website. It is already obvious that this is just a fraud and just luring in people who are zero knowledge on these kind of things.
Sorry for your lose mate,i know its not easy since that amount isnt small after all.
6414  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is an Asset or Currency? on: November 21, 2017, 05:57:30 PM
Cryptocurrency is both. They are both asset and also currency at the same time because with cryptocurrencies we can use them to make a complete purchase online and execute a safe payment system and we can also just hold them and keep them for long term and have some chance to make a lot of money with it.
I do not see any signs of bitcoin currency. You can now make purchases directly with bitcoin. You can not officially change their bitcoins in the Bank. Bitcoin is very similar to traveler's checks. He has value but only under certain conditions. If tomorrow the exchange and the online exchange will stop working we will figure it out.
If we do try to look on the current situation of Bitcoin it is not really being accepted yet on any parts of the world or globally which we can really say that treating it as a currency would really have still some limit unlike on our traditional fiats and also most holder of bitcoin do really treat it as an asset because of its earning money possibility specially for long term basis.People do have different treatment though and do have different beliefs but this would base on case to case situation on where a certain bitcoin holder do live.
6415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not? on: November 20, 2017, 09:22:38 PM
I think it good investment, because cryptocurrencies actively develop now. Maybe this is the future of the world economy.
Investing in ICOs is very risky if you think about it. It could be a great investment or a bad investment and there are many factors which help in deciding this. Personally, I have not lost any money with any ICO yet since I invest in very few ICOs which I choose based on a lot of research and my own gut feeling. I have been right most of the time and there is a lot luck involved here too. No one can assure anyone whether investing in any specific ICO would be a good or bad deal. It all comes down to you at the end.
I agree on the fact that it do somehow need luck for you to be profitable on this field and i can say you are lucky on this ICO investing since you havent still able to commit loss of money which is great since we do know investing on ico can really generate good profits if the project did boom up its price. There are some instances that even if you do make research on a good project, good whitepaper, nice devs but some of them do still end up on failing and thats part of the risk which no matter how good you are these kind of experience wont really be avoided to be experienced.
6416  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Where can i report a crypto crime? on: November 20, 2017, 08:53:24 PM
You can report it at any police, that is if your country do have cybercrime law. If it was hacked then it should fall under cybercrime easy but I wonder how do the scams like some ICO I know. Should it fall under estafa or theft? There is not enough law out there that protects us investors against these type of cybercrime.

I agree. Report it immediately to the nearest police station so you have a basis as to when the incident occurred. Although yes, there are loopholes in our current laws. There are no dispositions as to how we should treat cryptocurrencies. Either it will fall under a certain umbrella or the criminal can very well escape his wrongful deed because of the dearth of law as to some matters that need to be addressed.
This is the sad reality even if our country do have cybercrime division but it wont really assure you to help you out on your case specially if you got scammed by an ICO or beings hacked or scammed by someone who do took your bitcoins or any altcoins. Tracing those suspects itself would really consume time and i wont be sure if you do make try to explain to them on what happened that they will surely understand knowing that not all cybercrime divisions do have much knowledge on cryptos and im really very sure on that one.
6417  Economy / Securities / Re: How do you decide which ICO to invest in? on: November 20, 2017, 07:41:42 PM
There are many ICO and you have to be careful before investing your money in any of them.
Cryptocurrency world is in its first stages therefore it is normal to find many scams and unexperienced people trying to lead big projects.
I advise you to read carefully the whitepaper (many neglect this point), know more about team members behind the project and try to assess the feasibility of the project.
When you choose which ĚCO you will invest your money in, wait for sales, you can get good discount.
Why people neglect? When we do try to look and see how many ico as of now we would really put it on our minds that checking each of whitepaper would really takes time this is why most of us would really neglect on reading up those things which is one of the most important thing when we do decide to invest on project. One of the strongest thing i do rely on is on its developers because if once i do see that they are capable and experienced enough on such field high chances of that project will succeed or progress later on.
6418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is our coin safe in etherdelta? on: November 20, 2017, 07:13:21 PM
hi the masters in bitcointalk

most every altcoin works with ETH wallet, and we get the coin through our ETH address. if we sell the coin in Etherdelta market. in etherdelta we are told to import our ETH address and Privat key from our ETH address.

The question of whether the coin coin at our own ETH address will be safe, because directly the privatkey of our ETH address is already on the Etherdelta site?

Etherdelta is a decentralized exchange which means they dont have the information that you have putted on the site.Even you input your privatekeys on there it is guaranteed safe as long you are the ones who are using that browser on that time. This is the goodness of using decentralized exchange which you can directly import your mew account details and trade up directly on the coin you do like to trade. The thing here is that when you are still a newbie you would really be confused on how this exchange works specially on selling and buying stuff on here.
6419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10k Bitcoin upcoming!? What are your plans for the Alts? on: November 20, 2017, 05:39:00 PM
Anyone feeling the way I am: Bitcoin is about to jump up to 10k!

We have broken 8k and the next stop seems to be 10k. This would mean a 25% increase in the price. If Alts follow the pattern from before (Bitcoin Gold and Segwit 2x forks) we can expect a drop of 30-40% in the Alts. I will probably sell my Alts and wait for the coming drop. Or does anyone think that Alts will rise along with Bitcoin? What are your plans for the Alts in the coming week/month?
No one can tell since altcoins price doesnt anytime correlated to bitcoins price which if btc price would go up it would go up also. This is not the case and we do have already seen the situation on where on those time where there a price increase rally on bitcoin and all alts are going down almost reaching out 50% which it would really be a disaster for those who do hold up coins but yet its not really ideal to sell out on loss on alts. Instead of doing that better to buy even more cheaper alts on those times because it will surely pay off when price tends to recover again.
6420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how can bitcoin survive with 26 USD transaction cost? on: November 20, 2017, 04:50:31 PM
i have recently done 2 bitcoin transactions and i had to pay in total 52 usd in transaction costs,

how can bitcoin be used if it is more and more undividable, because smaller transactions arent wort it anymore?

introducing new forks and splits like bitcoin cash bitcoin gold decreases the trust and people start consider it a manipulated centralised pyramid system.

regards
Same question on the dude above me about pyramiding system? How can you say such thing? because i cant see any pyramiding scheme on this one which i would rather believe on price manipulations. I would believe on the fact that transactions cost nowadays do really suck bigtime because it is not minimal anymore since you would really need to pay up huge or some dollar amounts to make transaction to other wallet. This is why i do decide up to make bulk transactions than on making on micro  because fees will really hurt you up.It is really a stressful thing sometimes.
