6421  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How safe are my bitcoin on blockchain.info? on: November 04, 2017, 11:58:21 PM
Blockchain. info is a pretty old and probably the first online wallet that came into existence. They are time tested and trusted as well. I have been using their wallet since a long time now. They also have dynamic fees feature where you can choose what type of fees you want to pay for a transaction. I can recommend their service. However, if you are holding a big amount of bitcoins, it is always safer to keep in offline wallet. because you won't have any problem with blockchain. info but hackers can create an issue.
Hackers can create an issue anytime if you do disclose your information regarding on your wallet they can really breach out your wallet and take those precious bitcoins inside.Just like what you said this is one of the oldest online web wallet for bitcoin which still being used far by many.I cant say its totally secure and safe but yet reliable on storing some amounts but same as suggested when you do posses large amounts of bitcoin then the best thing to do is store up on offline wallets than on storing it on online wallets. You can use up electrum wallet too same as blockchain you can edit dynamic fees on what suits you.
6422  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is it possible to use bitcoin like offline currency? on: November 04, 2017, 11:44:09 PM
Few days ago a friend asked me this questions. But i cannot understanding that how to i give him answer. At last i said him that, bitcoin is an online currency. Only this currency used in online marketplaces. It is not possible to use it in offline marketplace like offline currency.

But what is your best answer of this question?
When we do talk about offline currency then we would use bitcoin on physical form which isnt possible at all because we do know that we do need internet to make use of bitcoin and also its a digital currency after all and dont have any physical form that would be used on offline. If theres no internet then it cant be used for sure but yet even though it cant be used physically or offline but come to think off that there merchants that do accept bitcoin as a payment just like on having our own traditional credit or debit cards which do really give convenience.Adoption is on the move which we should really not worry too much regarding on how we gonna use it.
6423  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do ICO's need licenses? on: November 04, 2017, 11:20:08 PM
Lately there's been a lot of talk about regulation. What about ICO's?

What do you see with the ones complying with governments? It seems to be a big play longevity wise.

For ex. Unikrn got their Malta license, making esports fiat wagering legal in most of europe. Does this pave the way for future ico's? Should this be an indicator of a good, trustworthy ico?

More info: https://www.coindesk.com/regulated-cryptocurrency-betting-just-got-big-boost-europe/

Regarding on longevity then regulation would really make some changes compared into those non regulated ones since both investors and its owners will really have the transparency since its being regulated already. If we do try to see now there are lots of Scam projects which results on ending up badly on its investors. This is why im already hesitant on making investment or putting up money. They should really be regulated to lessen the risk on losing too much money on putting up on useless things.
6424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell my airdropped tokens quickly or hold on to them? on: November 03, 2017, 09:01:32 PM
Hello,
Yesterday I saw some increase in my total estimated token value, and today it dropped significantly.
It appears that a lot of people are selling their airdropped tokens as soon as they get them.
I have not sold a single token from airdrops, and with the exception of some them, they seem to be mostly losing value in time.
Should I do the same or hodl hoping that some of them may increase in value, closing the gap I lose in the process?
Airdropped tokens are not meant to be hold for long term since they are just totally free then most people who do recieve it do immediately sell them once it is out on exchanges. In my case i do wait for a period of time because there are really times which those coins being hyped up once and then they do dump after which this would really give you one opportunity to sell on higher profits but this is only on case to case basis because most of them usually dump after people are cashing out directly. Dont hold up unless if it is a promising project and worth to be hold on.
6425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Indonesia Banks Penalizing Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2017, 07:25:20 PM
Do you think this will affect the price of bitcoin over the next few days?
This would be nothing. Have you already seen the situation on where China did plan to ban bitcoin and do try to regulate ICO. What happened? Price did really decrease on some points but not totally the reason for it to dump. No matter how they would oppose bitcoin its success cant really be stop as of now which we are already seeing that it starts to fly again reaching out unexpectedly $7k usd in no time.
6426  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Question about Electrum wallet on: November 03, 2017, 05:51:08 PM
I am considering transfering my bitcoins from coinbase to electrum wallet. My question is, what happens if Electrum suddenly shuts down and their servers go offline? Will I be able to access my coins using another wallet or will they be lost?
Thinking off that Electrum would shut down then its nearly impossible to happen if it does then theres nothing to worry because we can anytime export our keys even on offline just like what being said above. This is what i like on electrum compared on other wallet because you do really have the power on knowing your private keys. This is why its important anytime to have back ups on your wallet so that if incase theres a possible problem you wont really worry too much because you can still able to access that address.
6427  Economy / Economics / Re: Yes or No? Doesn't Bitcoin unfairly benefit early adopters? on: November 03, 2017, 04:35:52 PM

No, it's not an unfair benefit. It's just the fruit of their being risk-taker, in fact we should thank the early adopters for it's because of them why bitcoin have been successful nowadays. Years ago who would have thought that the value will blow up as higha s its value today, so its really either skill with intelligence or pure luck.

Yes you seem to be talking fair things here and I like it when someone talk about others skills and goodness. Its such true and ignored thing that what bitcoin is achieving today is all because of peoples investment, those people who believed it blindly in the past and I just love the idea of it being early investor.

It is so charming to be first and the earliest to get at something and then have the fruits of it. So may be they deserve it and its not unfair at according to me as well.

Its not really unfair since they are just cherishing the results of the risk they take when bitcoin was just starting and those early adopters did really make the first step because bitcoin wont really spark out if there were no people who did able to engage with it on the earliest days then bitcoin wont really gain value because the start is already been messed up and now they did succeed and i would somehow consider this as a skill and knowledge with the mix of some luck which bitcoin did progress and did able to survive upto these days with having an insane value of $7k+.
6428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do alt coin holders lose money when Bitcoin's price rises? on: November 03, 2017, 03:28:44 PM

(1) Does that mean that alt coin holders are losing money, or are the lower alt coin prices a mere adjustment in relation to the new price of Bitcoin?

Yes of course, coin holders are losing up money when altcoin price do tend to dump or decrease. Its a normal stuff.

(2) How do you determine if you are in the green or red? Do you look at the $ value of your alt coin, OR what it's worth in BTC?

When i set out my investment i do always look up for BTC conversions i dont really look on USD thing.
6429  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: still worth it to start mine bitcoins ? on: November 02, 2017, 08:47:45 PM
hello , i want to buy 2 Avalon miner 741 , with total hash rate of 14.6 Th/s . will it worth to start mining now ? i'll but both for $2400
If you did already buy those miners then theres no turning back as of now and no choice but to mine bitcoin since you do have already those miners.Profitability would really depend on some circumstances electricity, maintenance, location. These are the things to be considered first because you would able to compute your profits if you do deduct if from expenses but if you wont really bother for short term calculations then it should be fine if you do decide to keep those coins you mined for long term.If price of bitcoin did rise even more then it will surely pays you off.
6430  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which Cloud Bitcoin Mining Company is actual now? on: November 02, 2017, 06:01:46 PM
Which Cloud Bitcoin Mining Company is actual today? Do you use cloud bitcoin mining? Is it still actual today to join?
Genesis mining and Hashflare these are the only ones who do operate real cloud mining since they do have the actual miners unlike on those ponzi scam cloud mining sites that do exist on the market.I dont have any information if the BTC contract for genesis already had the stocks because recently they have sold out just like been said above but they do have another options for other coins. If you do tend to put up money then its better not to proceed because it wont already be a profitable stuff for you considering on the mining difficulty jump.
6431  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: So how much privacy do we really need? on: November 02, 2017, 03:23:02 PM
We all know that Bitcoin transactions are not anonymous but pseudo-anonymous, resulting in many problems like tainted coins etc.
Some cryptocurrencies offer significant more privacy (Monero, Zcash etc) but at a cost.
However my question is more fundamental: How 'much' privacy do we really need for a widely-adopted cryptocurrency?
I believe Bitcoin as-is won't get adopted for everyday transactions. Nobody would want showing his buying habits to the whole world (imagine how many ads and flyers you would get).
On the other hand, I don't believe cryptocurrencies that offer too much privacy will get adopted either, since they will be used for criminal activities and eventually get banned.
My feeling is that we want a currency that offers privacy to some extent, without revealing our transaction to the world but still be possible for law-enforcement to track illegal activities.
What do you think?

I think the government should be the one to implement the regulation of the use of bitcoins.  It is not far that bitcoins can be used for crimes, howbeit, the government should spearhead the security of using bitcoins.  Currency is the most liquid asset like fiat cash... I guess what you mean is security and regulation of using so to track down illegal transfer using this cryptocurrency...
Do you know on what are you talking about? That thing you do mention is really hard they can regulate but only the services being used by bitcoin like exchangers and other establishments and merchants but talking directly on controlling it then its an impossible stuff and we do know most government will always look out on its negative impact like crime and another illegal transactions (money laundering etc.) Tracking down would be really a tough job on bitcoin because of its anonymity and theres also an alternative one which is on Monero.
6432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peak and correction coming on: November 02, 2017, 01:35:56 PM
6950$.
In my humble opinion we're really close to hit the top.

I don't think the bull run will last till fork date.
It's a matter of few days, best case.

We're in bubble territory, so take profit and be liquid.

Im treating it also on bubble territory if we do try to check new ATH it is on $7300 price and it dip down again on 6800 and now it bounce back again on 7100 as of this writing which this is really a bumpy ride and would really be good for scalping or short tradings but somehow a risky thing to do and i do consider that was the new ATH or ceiling which we wont able to see higher price other than that range.Price corrections should really be expected because after fork it would eventually happen if those bitcoin users do already claim their free money.
6433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC vs GPU on: November 02, 2017, 12:13:12 PM
I want to know expert miners what is the best way to mine ASIC vs GPU

Thank Alot
Best way to mine would really depend on which coin you would mine. if its sha56  then you would really need ASIC miners since GPU wont able to mine such thing. We do know that Bitcoin cant really be mined by using GPU since it would really need asic miners which currently and the latest one is antminer s9 which do have 14+ th/s.We can point out that it is specialized to mine bitcoin and other coins which do have the same technical feature but on most cases on altcoins it can be mined by using GPU cards.
6434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So again BTC is ATH at the moment. Are you still holding or already sold it? on: November 02, 2017, 10:28:38 AM
Again and again we can't predict when the price will go down and too many are waiting so they can buy more. Waiting is wasting your time for a big opportunity. Would the Segwit x2 will really affect the price of bitcoin?
We cant really predict the price and we didnt even expect that it hit 7k price as of now when you tried to see its current price as of this writing. We did able to hit new ATH and it really gives a good feeling specially for those people who did able to bought while it is still on 5k price. For now i did able to sell on $6k price because this is my target wayback before but i didnt expect it did hit on this price point. Segwit did really give effect on the sudden price increase on bitcoin. People are accumulating bitcoin as many as they can because of the fork.
6435  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A Good Solution Of Too Much Greed In Trading ? on: November 02, 2017, 06:02:13 AM
I Am New At Trading Some Of My Trades Actually fail because of too much Greed is there anyway how to determine how to stop ? and avoid this Greed Emotion Sad  Huh Huh
Too much greed is one of the problems you would really face not only on trading but also on gambling too. When you are really have a problem on greed on trading you would most likely ending up on losing because you are already treating it as gambling based on your actions and the orders you would made on a certain coin. The solution on this is try out to control your funds and make a good management.Make plans according on the possible actions you would made. It wont really be an easy job if you are really a greedy person but somehow its manageable.
6436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HOW TO EARN BOUNTIES on: November 02, 2017, 05:03:52 AM
To earn big in bounties ensure you follow the managers rules to the latter.
Do not spam
Post work done to the bounty thread if there is a request for this.
For newbie that require token to fund there account this is the way to go.

Yes, people should follow their otherwise they will ban the account without any reason. Before participating people go through all the rules and regulations because if anybody starting spam then moderator will also has the right to ban you.

It would just really a normal thing to think off on these kind of rules and regulations which you should not only see on the bounty campaign rules but also on the forum rules as well. If you did able to violate one of the rules then expect consequences would really comes after. Earning on bounties would really be decent but depending on the project if it would pump out or not. The risk on joining these bounties is that there are campaigns which turns out to end up scam or does pay less on the amounts you do agreed on the bounty. It sucks but its part of the risk.
6437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold ETH or exchange it for BTC and hold BTC? on: November 01, 2017, 03:04:12 PM
So, the title is pretty much self explanatory. If you have an x-amount of ETH, would it be more wise to trade that for BTC and hold BTC or will ETH rise faster then BTC?

Example:

If you have 1000 USD worth of ETH - that's 3,5 ETH or so. 300 usd per ETH.
If you trade this for BTC, you have 1000 USD worth of BTC, so 0.15 BTC or something around 6000 usd per BTC.

Which one is more likely to make your 1000 USD go 2000 USD? Will ETH see 600 USD any time soon - or let me ask it differently -> is it more likely that BTC goes 12000 USD then 600 USD per ETH? What do you guys think and what would you do?
Its hard to point out which of those two would able to hit up double their recent price. Doubling possible on both candidates but i would go for ETH since its price isnt still high enough compared to bitcoin which would able to reach out easily but the situation on ETH ecosystem where there are lots of ICO or coin owners do tend to dump ETH once they accumulate enough which the thing pull down the price which it cant really increase easily. For now if you do have ETH then just let it be but if you do tend to convert to bitcoin then its your choice.
6438  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining - Legit or not? on: October 30, 2017, 05:40:02 PM
I saw a YouTube video of someone using this site - https://www.genesis-mining.com

Then I thought it looked easy and fun. But I have never heard of this Cloud Mining, thing.
I know of big supercomputers to thousands and thousands of dollars, for mining cryptocurrency.
Or a very slow and "useless" process on your own laptop computer.

Is this legit? Is it worth it? Anyone here with a Genesis or any other similiar provider experience?

Pros and cons, etc... ?
Genesis mining for now can be considered as legit since they are operating already for how many years and been used by some investors when it comes on cloud mining.Mining bitcoin or other coins would really be asic miners and pc or laptop mining isnt really possible nowadays since it would really need its own dedicated miner on that kind of stuff. Worth it? No it wont to invest some money on these cloud minings sites specially for long term basis profits will lesser as the time goes by which i would say it wont really be an ideal stuff.
6439  Economy / Securities / Re: We design, build and install mining rigs in Kuwait, on: October 30, 2017, 04:17:22 PM
No idiot would really even transfer $1 on OP's wallet address for sure.If he do really concern on his business proposal then better to do it physically which he do find investors near on the place because no one on this forum would really entrust huge money on random people on the net.We are talking big investments on here and no one would really just go into your place just to check your legitimacy.I would rather spend those amounts on fare on buying my own GPU. It would really be much better for me and thinking off that average cost of electricity on my place would still able to generate me profits.

We have raised close to $1 million already and have satisfied customers. In all cases investors come to visit us personally because we wouldn't ask someone online to transfer cash to us without meeting us in person to discuss.

Valid point, if the investor visiting you, there shouldn't be anything wrong !
This is right and the wrong thing here already is that op is already offering its service here on this forum knowing that people wouldnt really entrust too large amount and as being said the minimum is $100k. Who would be the one to put such money into unknown person on net?If the can able to find people offline then better to stick on those and focus on spreading on what hes offering on his place. That would be more effective and worth to try on than on recommending or posting it here on this forum because no one will really fall into this one.
6440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to make a profit from buying hash power from nicehash? on: October 29, 2017, 06:58:37 PM
It's rather simple really,
If the people renting out their miners to nicehash could make more money by solo or pool mining, they would do so... They rent out their hashrate because they're getting more money from people that rent their ASIC time, than they would get if they would mine directly. So if YOU rent their hashrate, you'll mine less coins than your renting price.

Does that mean there is no way of making a profit? Not really, but in order to make a profit by renting hashrate at sites like nicehash, you'll have to investigate and mine coins that currently have a low diff, but have a potential to rise in the future. A second way of make a little profit is constantly monitoring all prices, and buy when, for some reason, the price dips for a couple of minutes.

By just renting hashrate at nicehash and pointing it to BTC, LTC, DASH,... you'll probably lose money.
Very well explained and i do agree on such thing. If you are really wise enough you will really target those altcoins which do have lower mining difficulty and with this way this would somehow give you the chance to be profitable but if you do stick on those Giants like BTC,LTC,ETH,DASH which do have enormous mining difficulty then its expected profits would really be lesser. This is why i dont really tend to rent any hashpower because i put always to my mind that its better to have my own physical miner than on renting on others hashes.
