661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: July 07, 2017, 11:05:10 AM
Is there any twitter account for ultracoin, to tweet updates of this project? I think this project needs a push-up, a new ann thread and a new ann thread (i see that the "Official Ultracoin Team" is inactive since May,20), the site also needs a facelift. I can help with some graphic design for the ann thread and a twitter account for updates.

Maybe we can make some promo, giveaways and such.

All other dead coins revived this year why this amazing coin with unique features dosen't? We need to gather some community members arround the project.

Hi Kiddo - yes we already have a Twitter     https://twitter.com/official_utc?lang=en

back in this ANN I explained that Rapture333 was to take back the lead after I resurrected UltraCoin from its slow death by bugged wallet - but unfortunately he was too busy.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=727023.msg18844684#msg18844684

I'm too busy too - but I agreed to try and manage in a caretaker role until we had some interest from a new team.

Currently we have Java.dev working on the new light wallets with Rapture333 (Steven).  I must admit the progress has been slower than I had hoped for.  We have paid Java.dev for this work so I'm going to be DARK if it does not come to satisfactory completion.

When you see me (usukan) post - you should read as "Official UltraCoin Team" - its just that I have that particular login profile secured on a computer in an office in the South Pacific and I don't often get home.

If any of you guys want to join the team and help - or indeed you may want to take the lead - so to speak, take the reigns.  Please step up - we will be glad to assist with this.

Cheers - usukan

Thanks for your answer @usukan! I want to help, even is just spreading the word here and there about Ultracoin. Have a lot of friends over crypto, ahh and btw if you need devs or people to help come over thecryptochat.net you'll find a lot of great people and good devs over there. Cheers and power to the UTC!

Is this going to relaunch with new dev team? if so please fix the first post as all images is showing error, it's hard to read the post and the roadmap link is error aswell.

and the website as well   Grin

Or maybe is better to start a new thread. New dev team, new site, new thread. Just a suggestion...

Hi.
I want to mine ESP but i dont know how to manually se up this, can anyone lend me  a hand? i will be grateful if anyone will  help me

ESP from maxminers is the old ESP1, our 2 official pools are listed on OP.
what pool should i write here, can you post here so that i can understand? I dont have experience in mining and i want to try in altcoins.

As I see you are mining on maxminers.net which is the pool for old ESP1.

Pools for ESP2 are: https://pool.minertopia.org/ & http://esp2.8pool.dtdns.net/

EDIT: Also is a mining guide here: https://www.minertopia.org/threads/espers-mining-quick-start-guide.246/

there is a detailed manual for the mining coins at the pool?
for windows
when you run the file optipool.exe gives an error, the computer is missing a file api-ms-win-crt-math-1-1-0.dll. how to fix? windows 8.1
put optipool bismuth in the folder, still not working
what should be the configuration file?

Is there any guide to mine this coin on windows 10 out there?

What's the difference beetwin SONM and Golem?

Couple of things:

According to the SONM team, their project will offer some features the other two don’t. This will include support for non-deterministic tasks, site hosting, game server support, and a round-robin-based load balancer. Not all of the features will be available right away, but it’s good to see different teams take slightly different approaches. It will be interesting to see which of these three concepts will eventually come out on top.

"SONM uses a more common and standardized BOINC platform, also used in lots of existing distributed projects, therefore SONM is compatible with many of them”. However SONM plans to get rid of the BOINC platform once they reach version 2 (in 1–1.5 years)"

Also, according to SONM Team, “Assuming that SONM crowdfunding attracts maximal ICO cap, we will release SONM v.2. in 1–1.5 years”.

What is important to understand is that this is a multi year project, and with this roadmap this should be very clear.

Thank you for the detailed description of unique features of SONM @Coinologist! I'll study a bit more the SONM project before I'll go all-in. Thanks!

thanks for that.
actually one more question if i may. i still fail to understand what is the point of this coin, even after going to their website and looking it up. what am i missing here?
except the mailing messaging and sites? which i fail to recognize why it is so special? will be happy for a clarification

The point is to have a more secure chain than other coins, to be simple to use for end users, and to build a high-performance backend for services on blockchain, such as websites and sending a lot of messages. The app will enable the sending and receiving of Espers messages from your mobile.

Both (messages and website) are just a proof-of-concept for the general concept of (asynchronous) message passing between applications, and (synchronous) data sharing, to build distributed applications on it. Furthermore it aims at providing cross-communication between applications running on different chains, next to proof this will be cross-chain communication with Insane Coin.

Hope that makes more sense now. Wink

hmm yea thanks. but i still fail to see what makes it unique compared to others? also i think  the Devs are not showing up on the website, why is that? how many are there?
thanks.

Hello dev! Why Nobt is not added on coinmarketcap.com yet?
I'm suppose this is promotion team tasks, I will see what I can do regarding this matter.

As far as I know anyone can send a ticket to coinmarketcap.com to add a coin.

This coin had everything for sure, more then the DEV, is doing and with this amount of coins that burned by manipulating the market is difficult, it has been more than 5 days that we can not mine and negotiate the currency is complicated with The discharge of all billion of coins that are more than 40% of the mountain flee this coin trash I do not recommend

I think it has a lot of potential this coin but I do not see it viable having the large number of coins staking the DEV, we must thank the new members the work they are doing but if they want the project to succeed and get ahead they have to find a solution .

A burning of the currencies would reduce the total supply and would add a lot of value, if it raises well it can go far.

Again thank the new team for the work, the coin was dead and it seems that now breathes softly.

Regards!

+1 Indeed, a lower supply will help in price increase. Also some giveaways will help spread the word arround.

Hello guys! I read about syscoin few thread pages. Bought some also, for long term investment 5+ years. I saw the project is pos with 1.5% / year, the question is I need to keep the wallet open 24/7 or just open it from time to time? Thanks!

Not sure where you got this onfo, SYS is a POW coin - read the very first page of this thread for info.

Maybe I got a little bit confused, sorry... Actually on the first page I saw: Mining in 1st year (2016) is 6% intrest, (2017-2028) is 1.5% intrest, etc... maybe is all about the inflation and was called "intrest"...dono! Thanks for the answer!
