661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decisions for a better life on: December 18, 2019, 06:47:10 AM
We all know that being an addicted gambler is a very tough spot in our life, but what if you need to decide what to choose, your addiction or you family? i.e., the given situation will be that you need to decide on the spot if you want to pursue your "career" in gambling or make a good simple life with your family? what will you choose?

Really a tough spot though. If you really a chronic gambler you will find this thing difficult otherwise it is obvious on who to choose. Well, in my case I will choose my family, of course. I won't be letting anyone or anything be a hindrance for a relationship, and in addition gambling can be cause for conflicts thus, it might lead to a worst possible scenario, divorce or any sort of bad relationship, in which majority don't want to happen in the first place. I am willingly to give up my addiction over my family, besides, I don't want my kids be an addicted with this kind of game as well.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good advice or bad advice? on: December 11, 2019, 06:06:45 AM
I spent most of my time doing research on many altcoins, their old price to the present value and i find out that even if you sell your tokens today leaving few tokens worth few dollars for many years can worth something. For example if you left 9$ worth of bitcoin in your wallet since 2012 you would never have imagine what it will become today, in jan 2017 you can buy 5000 pieces of Ripple at 0.007$ which costs 35$ and in jan 2018 a XRP cost 3$ which turns 15000$, there are many examples like this on CMC, remember Tron too? My point is its bad selling off all your coins, if you needed money that bad always leave coins and tokens worth of few dollars left in your wallet just in case

You know what is bad? The timing. Besides you don't know and no one even knows what the future holds. For what is certain right now is that, you have to do what must done right now. Well, bad market, everything is in favorable price to purchase then purchase though if you are a man of principles, and you have certain strategies to be executed then stick with it. And let what might happened in the future, and so if the market goes up then sell. That is just how it is.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for increasing and decreasing money on: December 11, 2019, 03:35:56 AM
I think gambling is the best way to spend money. You can gamble for two reasons.

1. If you have a lot of money, go gambling to reduce them.
Why go gambling just to reduce money? Why don't you purchase something and/or give it to the people who need it the most. Like food, clothes, and etc. Or why don't you donate it to the charities, right? Sometimes you don't have to play it along just with a purpose of reducing it. You have to think bigger than this, and I know we are better than with these thoughts.

Quote
2. And if you have too little money, go gambling to increase them.
Well, this seems obvious because majority of average gamblers are gambling with a hope of having a profit in return.

Quote
So anything can happen in gambling. So should not go gambling with any hope.
Definitely, but I don't think we could gamble without any hope lol  Grin Grin. Everyone are gambling we an ambitions behind. Just like what you stated for example your first example. Such situation has a hope of reducing money though sound ridiculous but it is binded with hope. And we cannot go gamble without it.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider gambling to be a "fun activity"? on: December 11, 2019, 03:01:28 AM
It is all fun and games till you lose. Of course, it is totally devastating when you lose. Who would be happy with that, right? But I stand with a thinking of gambling wasn't all about money or profit. It is the game that people enjoy. Although to earn was the major reason also behind playing. But you don't come and gamble when you're not ready to what would be the output of what you're doing there. You must prepare yourself, and execute your plan (when you have) when you lose.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hide my money from my country 2 on: December 09, 2019, 05:38:24 PM
Hey man. I am not totally updated with Trezor till now but I highly suggest to you to use Ledger over Trezor.
Though they are both good. But Ledger has the edge over Trezor. In terms of looks, Ledger has a more stylish look over Trezor. Ledger has a stainless steel body while Trezor is not and in addition, Ledger is supporting  multiple coins than what Trezor has (I am not totally updated with Trezor but because way back it has few ). Though they are both good, I just like the looks on what Ledger has because it is more protected.

As for the coin, stick with DAI man. Though if you don't want any third party to have control over your funds. Otherwise, use USDC.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to be thankful than hate him on: December 09, 2019, 04:51:11 PM
Hey man. I like how you deliver hatred towards those haters. You really love bitcoin, don't you?

Anyway man, I just want to remind you that haters ain't going to disappear just as much as we want them to. They will always going to occur specially on those so much trends and hype that bitcoin has. Haters are those people who always want things to be in their favor, and cannot humbly accept when things turn to be opposite of what they badly want it to be. Thus, they blame bitcoin and the community it has. But come on, just look we ain't, the forum we have ain't going to grow so much like this when people aren't love bitcoin (though because money involve, of course) but still the essence of bitcoin and blockchain makes this community tight, and stronger. And it will continue to sail on as technology always progress, and so the crypto currency.

So much with the preach, keep yourself man up. We are > those haters.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Games that everybody likes on: December 09, 2019, 01:19:25 PM
I usually bet on sports specifically basketball. I don't know why I am totally into it but what is certain is just I love the game because I once been a varsity in a certain school so may be I brought my interest from playing the sports into gambling into it. Well, I gamble back then whenever I play with someone just like betting for a sweet, cold softdrinks, and then it leveled up into another huge bar that involves huge amount of money. It is just fun though I am not playing the sports the same phase that I once been.

They must be avoid. They have been accused by scam issue way back several months before.

Here's the link:

PS: They already been posted at Scam Accusations section. If people would care to look around, they might be able to avoid such dirty thing this bad exchanger currently doing.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How you can say that? on: December 01, 2019, 06:32:23 AM
Crypto enthusiasts buy crypto with centralized cards from centralized platforms. Transfer that crypto in centralized exchanges and trade with centralization. And whenever get caught in a problem with the exchange, accuse the centralized exchange. So how with all this you can talk about centralization?Huh? You prove your words wrong with your acts.
Bitcoin is first decentralized asset in finance history, everything else is centralized so how people can avoid centralizaton? They cant yet.
There would need to be more decentralized services around bitcoin (there are projects already) and people willing to use them.
We will see how it will go, centralization isn't always bad.
I agree, however the OP perceived that when someone got in trouble in such centralized exchange then they are going to blame the platform.

Anyway, going back to the problem. As we see popular platforms such as Binance seems formidable, and totally away from any troublesome events, which in fact newbies or more like people who are dependent on some things would easily fall to, and will rather rely in it. Though those people (not sure) prior to using the platform they have to agree with terms and conditions (wherein nobody reads). Such cycle has to be corrected which the OP was trying to address, but the problem is, it is seems impossible because even though we let our advice go around, few people are going to pay some time attention, and in addition few are going to imbibe the essence of it.
671  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you hold on a trade. on: December 01, 2019, 06:06:09 AM
trading has been a difficult process for novices and minor traders. it could be tempting most times if you dont understand the market movement and TA. you might loose patience and cancel out a trade you might regret later. i have cancel out many trades that later ended up in huge profits. i have also cancel some successfully. i just curious to know if there is any sure way to this trading were by you hold on a trade.
FUD? avoid it, when you know what you are doing. Just do it confidently and smoothly, and always apply discipline and you'll be good. Too bad you felt discourage and avoid pursuing on what you are currently trying to trade.

Anyway here are the things I know that will help you:

  • Have a plan
  • Stick with your plan always
  • Don't invest blindly
  • Invest what you can afford to lose
  • Pay attention closely to chart

Those are just few, and self-explanatory categories. Just avoid unnecessary stuff such as self-doubt because remember everything is fine when you knew what you are doing with discipline.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOTHING IS ABOVE BITCOIN on: December 01, 2019, 03:57:08 AM
I agree with what Back said here:

Quote
At G20, sitting next to the president of the Dutch central bank, Back said he believed the blockchain would be another initiative for an open network, and said financial institutions no longer benefit from technology because it would mean that international transfers would not need intermediary banks with questionable credit.

There is nothing to rely on such institution if there are far more better than it, and seems useful.

Anyway, with what the OP said there is nothing above bitcoin not because it sits at the top of the market but because it proves way back then until now that it is still a good investment. Alts are just created out on hard fork to fill a certain purpose which bitcoin don't have. Thus, it makes quite a difference with bitcoin but the thing is Bitcoin's been around long enough now where people are more familiar with, that even though huge names introduced their whatever coin it is people just look at it, and still make the decision to go with bitcoin.
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $16M in Stolen Ethereum from Upbit Were Just Transferred on: December 01, 2019, 03:19:15 AM
This is a crazy story. This morning I also heard that IDAX owner ran away with cold wallet keys. Not very sure where the whole crypto is moving. By seeing all these bad things, crypto market will not survive for long.
Crypto market is too big to just to be crashed by these unfortunate events. Though it has an impact but sooner or later we will forget this thing and move on.

Restating what the OP said "No one is safe from hackers" Well yes. Even big companies was once been hacked, securities are just humans after all they have their shortcomings and weakness though we cannot just say "I am human and I can afford to fail" huge companies won't buy that idea but the thing is they ain't know all thing. Besides failures like this is huge help and will play a vital role to build a more durable security layers for hackers not to get pass through easily.

What I fear the most is that hackers are creative and can improvise new moves. It is a cycle that never ends, isn't it?
674  Economy / Speculation / Re: No need to PANIC! on: December 01, 2019, 02:36:20 AM
That's the attitude right there. People are by default anxious when the market starts to change abnormally. It is the experience who particularly aid such attitude. I am pretty confident that sooner they will realize that what they are currently doing isn't a bit of a thing for them to be worried about. Well, sometimes they aren't to be blame because sometimes people are bit exaggerated about such changes that sometimes they been carried away by such anxiety.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Practical "Self-Exclusion" from Bitcoin Gambling Websites on: December 01, 2019, 01:37:15 AM
I am not quite sure if this will going to work. Have some changes with your pace, what I mean turn your attention to another thing, like have some another habit play games, read books or whatever. It may sound ridiculous but sometimes it works. Because I believe that you gamble because you don't have anything to focus your attention with. Restraining yourself away from gambling when you don't have anything to do after may bring you a thirst for playing it again that sometimes lead to forcing yourself to have a way. So imo try to change your focus to anything beneficial yet entertaining.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: December 01, 2019, 01:03:00 AM
I just read a topic about stealing $50 million of Ethereum from the Upbit exchange. Now I read about it, what the hell is going on? I think this will be a big blow to the crypto market. What will happen next?
Problem are occurring one after another. Anyway the two issues are both different but it is just sad to know tons of people who pay effort to earn such money, and it will be getting away by just a greedy man. Having him in jail and paying huge amount of money for his punishment isn't enough because it causes a lot of panic, and it block people specially those who urgently need the money for a specific circumstances. That is why I don't trust centralized stuff, because authorities may turn its back on us.
677  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Could Make Bitcoin Drop To $5? on: November 30, 2019, 04:55:42 PM
I was just wondering if it is possible. What event or series of events could crash the price of Bitcoin to $5? What will you do if that happens?
Unfortunate event like correcting and other stuff that occurs after a huge changes in the market. Bitcoin to 5 USD seems possible but how unimaginable for it to happen. Hitting 6k USD mark is quite tough for bitcoin and in addition it does take time. On the other hand when bitcoin is about to reach that mark it must be completely useless, and unworthy for it not to be worthy of even a single demand in the market which I don't think will happen, and that is the only factor I can imagine of.
678  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation on: November 30, 2019, 03:21:26 PM
Taxes really are headache. What I don't with the government is that they hate crypto currency however they are taxing it in a way possible. I do understand that exchanges though for crypto however, in exchange features of converting crypto to fiat are included which when we talk about fiats the  government handles it. We cannot certainly just avoid it specially when we need physical money because not everyone are afford to have transaction to be in digital. Let us just imagine that we just got the favor and let this go on because as long as the government included here we cannot avoid TAX.

680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can share your own opinion if you have. on: November 30, 2019, 08:40:08 AM
Firstly thanks to all for reading my topic.

Who has had more success in this crypto market?
1. Traders
2. Investors
You you have any skills? From which you have made enough profit or How much amount you loss??
Welcome to share your skills.
I think Traders no hate about Investors. But I just think when the trader is highly skilled and diligent towards its own work. He may surpass any kind of profit out there except those unimaginable because it takes for about a life time to gain. Well anyway, both are guaranteed to be successful considering the idea that the trader and investors are knowledgeable. It is just that the measurement of the profit between the two is totally different, and I'll go with trader because of time range of profit return.
