Guys, I was a very big fan and long time user of windows XP, used it for at least 10 years, refused to change to win 7 but then I saw the first exploits, without going on any malicious site, without opening any .exe or without downloading basically anything, I just got myself a rootkit, the antivirus couldn't even detect it (avast, the only time avast failed me was on XP) because system files were exploited, not infected. Back then I didn't have any crypto or any kind of money on the PC (2010~) but if you handle money on the PC, don't use OS that has no updates at least monthly, linux has daily, windows has monthly big packages. If you are in crypto, you gotta say win XP bye once and for all.
Guys , why not use linux - ubuntu mate for example for wallets? Less problems with malware, less issues with viruses. wallets working great on this distro and this can be done next to win install on the same drive. |

ok... so I downloaded the byteball win32 wallet and installed it
but when I run it, I am getting error splash screen "Windows XP is not supported" and close down
is this true I cannot run it on xp, why no warning at the installation process?
anyway to bypass this to run the wallet? perhaps with added parameters at command line

U can always try to : Open Windows Explorer and navigate to where the program is located. Then...
Right click on the program file (the .EXE or .COM file).
Select Properties from the menu that pops up.
Select the Compatibility Tab in the dialog.
Change the options so the program opens in Windows 95 or 98 compatibility mode. Note the other options in the dialog as you may have to experiment a bit and change some of them as well.
Basically, this action creates a PIF file that Windows uses to determine options to use to run the program in compatibility mode instead of native Windows 32-bit mode. On the oficial site you can get a free gb of the amount you have, how do i do it? The wallet's bote only gives to link Bitcoin adress, so how do i get the 1 gb to every 5 gb?
Anybody can answer please? go to bitviser.info and check procedure once you link own wallet (byteball address) you will have option to link btc wallet. Or if you have in that byteall address any GB you will get 20% on top if it. |

It's foolish to sell btc now when it is the last chance to buy bitcoins that will be able to be imported on whatever split chain emerges after 1st August. After that date it will be possible to buy only one chain bitcoins. It's like selling ethereum before DAO split. Anybody holding or buying before that split ended having ether on two chains instead of one (Ethereum and Ethereum Classic). Unfortunately people don't act rationally but emotionally.
It's only stupid if you believe the sum of value of both chains will be equal or higher than the old one. We actually don't know, and even if it is so in the long run, there might be plenty of opportunity to speculate in the meantime simple example of etc and eth showing that sum of both chains might be higher than single one. So not really stupid to think that. Another thing is if anyone is willing to risk and trade on that. I wouldnt dare. |

The price is falling like a rock... anything went wrong? On the flip side, this may be a good opportunity to load up. I like the features of this coins and the fairness in distributing coins.
the last airdrop just happened a few days ago. someone just dumped a huge shitload of GBYTES and BTC is falling down - a lot cashing in on a lot of altcoins before BTC crashes down further. The whole market is falling right now. It will continue to do so for the next month probably. I would say chill out man. Nothing certain. Lower u buy better profits once is all back to normal. I would say we will see few weeks of bears taking control. But afer this jihan war clears we will see double the last ath. |
