661  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Numerous auctions on biddingpond on: January 09, 2011, 10:56:49 PM
OMG bots are not allowed. If he was a person it would be ok. D:<
That Bidder 1 had outbid me each time I make a bid and he makes it in less than a second.

I am bidding in the Cricket UM100C Mobile Broadband Tri-Brand USB Modem and won't do it again until this issue is resolved. Also, I bid in the American Dream Film and there are no bots. Could you explain?
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dare to be Rich! on: January 09, 2011, 10:19:15 PM
Well, the official site doesn't mention it. Unless it is in big letters: This is a Ponzi Scheme and I am free to stop it and take any remaining money at any time then he could be pottentially be found guilty of fraud. However, he has only been returning your money.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dare to be Rich! on: January 09, 2011, 09:53:45 PM
Yes though that would make you as guilty as him.

665  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Bitcoin Town Square: Official Chat Thread (1.5 BTC Reward Inside) on: January 09, 2011, 09:42:49 PM
I would still estimate it in BTC users < 1K ppl many of who are speculators or want to wait until their only BTC is worth a million of todays dollars. xD

Hey, has anybody tried coffee4bitcoin? I am saving some bitcoins(currently I have like 40) to try it out!
666  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Attach Bitcoin to the Spesmilo on: January 09, 2011, 09:40:03 PM
I support Pegasus, this could represent 1/10^2 -> 1/10^8 of a bitcoin.
667  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Attach Bitcoin to the Spesmilo on: January 09, 2011, 09:02:58 PM
We had already settled for a Serif B with two vertical lies crossing it. Smiley
668  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hold Sign "Stop the FED! Use Bitcoins!!!" Bitcoin Bounty! [BOUNTY PAID] on: January 09, 2011, 09:02:08 PM
Hey, you can hire anyone of the fiverr guys. Just click the links and hire all of them at once if you want. Noagenda should help us get people.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major Retail Point of Sale Initiative in USA on: January 09, 2011, 04:11:47 PM
Hey, is the app 2-way transaction enabled? Ex, could I pay|lend|gift bitcoins to a friend?
670  Economy / Economics / Re: The AMERICAN DREAM film, animated, on youtube on: January 09, 2011, 05:13:29 AM
Bid 2 BTC for the movie for shipping to a Mexico City, Mexico address. Smiley I really hope they offered the DVD for BTC in their website.
671  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can viruses steal people's bitcoin purses? What can be done for protection? on: January 09, 2011, 03:46:57 AM
As of security if you don't want to get infected don't install or download shit. Smiley

As of the hardrive failure use a RAID 1 or 5 and do remote backups to a box you have in a vacation house or with a trusted party.(With your wallet encrypted over there + stego)

As of the mobility part there is a bounty for an Android app. Maybe that is what you are searching.

Basically there are ways to prevent this scenarios(theft || loses) from happening and once they happen you are pretty much srewed.
672  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Central, now featuring dark pools ! on: January 09, 2011, 02:39:48 AM
No, the market should be open and free to move in price by the forces everyone imparts on it. I rather not even had the concept introduced. Volume is a great indicator when performing Technical Analysis and S3052 could come and explain us more. I believe he has access to MtGox's darkpool so he can surely tell us by facts.
673  Other / Off-topic / Re: Recommend a Linux distro for home use? on: January 08, 2011, 10:27:22 PM
basically as far as I am aware you don't need to configure it after upgrades. It is as if you were upgrading any other piece of software. Don't you have a 4GB+ USB Memory? Maybe you can give it a try without needing to format your hard drive. xD
674  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty for Bitcoin Animated Movie [13622.05 BTC ($2520) and growing] on: January 08, 2011, 08:09:46 PM
Maybe the American Dream film guys. They did a terrific job and would love to see more movies from them. Smiley
675  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin parity. on: January 08, 2011, 07:34:03 PM
I still believe it is going to be around mid-2011 unless we get the Bitcoin Shortmovie and get to the mainstream media. Tongue
676  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Crowdfunding(Open Source) - Pledge 165 BTC on: January 08, 2011, 07:20:31 PM
No, basically if you have a project and need some funds or incentives then you post your project, set rewards for backers(Which could even be the product pre-selling), and enter a deadline that if the funding is not archived by that time everyone receives back their money because it isn't wise to ask someone to finish a $5K project with only $2K in funding.

Also, updated the thread to reflect the new pledges. Smiley
677  Other / Off-topic / Re: Recommend a Linux distro for home use? on: January 08, 2011, 05:41:10 PM
Arch Linux Rolling release.

If you had never used any linux distro before go Ubuntu then. Smiley
678  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Crowdfunding(Open Source) - Pledge 30 BTC on: January 08, 2011, 05:10:08 PM
Ok, well then, since you posted in this thread I invite you to at least provide feedback and/or implementing this at most. Tongue
679  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Crowdfunding(Open Source) - Pledge 30 BTC on: January 08, 2011, 04:55:12 PM
Well the artists need money to pay for food, healthcare, and what not. What he is suggesting is pre-selling the next issue until supporters get enough BTC for him and then he can release it for free! Kiba, wouldn't you like to do the same with your art?
680  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hold Sign "Stop the FED! Use Bitcoins!!!" Bitcoin Bounty! [BOUNTY PAID] on: January 08, 2011, 04:52:53 PM
It is, just click on it. I posted some guys willing to do this for 5 bucks.(16 BTC) I can put down 10 BTC for the NBCS guy. Someone better get him a flier(or other promo material) he can print. Also, i am not able to pay in dollars, can someone step up and do that for us?
