Don't know if this can help, but I'll try anyway : )

DependencyWalker is a free program that lets you load .exe file and shows you tree of all dependent modules.

It says: "At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module."
Looks like file "MPR.DLL" is causing the problem.

There is an "unsubscribe link" in a email you get for subscribed topic.
663  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum: the blockchain is the cloud on: January 15, 2012, 10:31:35 PM

there are two secrets: your encryption password and your key generation seed.
to access your wallet, you need access to:
your seed OR ( your password AND your encrypted wallet file)

which one do you refer to when you write "passphrase"?

Hi,

thanks for reply.

So... i have my wallet and it is encrypted with my "passphrase". I have to enter it if i want to send BTCs.

What i wanted to ask is: does "passphrase" matters if somebody hacks (or otherwise gets) my secret seed?

My concern is... if someone hacks "deterministic key generation" algorithm... then every electra user is in danger, right?

Tnx.

Hi,

I am not too technical, so maybe this question does not make sense.

I am confused because I can't understand what would happen if someone would manage to hack "deterministic key generation" algorithm and therefore get access to all the seeds?

Do you still need to enter your "passphrase" after you restore your wallet?

Tnx.

On a side note, this does not seem to run on Win XP.

+1

It says that some DLLs are missing and quits.

Is there any specific reason why official bitcoin client does not have "check blockchain from another server" feature - like electrum?

Or is this feature coming sooner or later?

@developers: it would be nice if original client would at least inform you (when run for the first time), that you have to download whole transaction list...

A lot of friends ring me up and ask "why is this program scanning my hard drive like crazy"? : )

Cheers!

Even if it is 100% safe, some regulations may come and it might go down or transactions get blocked or something...

I think it's best to use personal wallets, this way you'll get hurt only if whole bitcoin community gets hurt.

I am glad you don't have that much money, because you would probably kill bitcoin in no time...
670  Other / Beginners & Help / If sky was the limit - how many bitcoins would you buy? on: January 03, 2012, 12:20:28 AM
10? 100? 1.000? 10.000? More?

What do you consider a good (and reasonable) amount of BTC to buy?

Cheers!
671  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to get Casascius Bitcoins in Europe? on: January 02, 2012, 07:58:00 PM
Sorry, my mistake, $55 is from memorydealers.com.

I'll try Casascius, and thanks for the info about customs. Good to know.

Cheers!
672  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to get Casascius Bitcoins in Europe? on: January 02, 2012, 03:26:14 PM
Because shipping cost is over $55. And then i would have to pay 20% tax extra on top of everything.

Cheers!

I'd like to buy few (1 to max 5) 1 BTC Casascius Bitcoins in Europe.

Does anyone have any idea where to get them?

Is maybe anyone here willing to sell them?

I can pay with paypal or skrill (moneybookers)

Thank you.
