Right now, the forum is reporting error 500 (Internal Server Error) like hell. There's also some SSL protocol errors

I can, or maybe can't, confirm, that there may, or may not, be things happening with this.
Shh!

theymos - or maybe you could host the API on bitcointalk.org?

I deposited 0.1 BTC into Pyramining, is it possible to get this (and my other deposits) back?

|

Yes.

How does one create a new bitcoin-like coin? (from current bitcoin source code)

APIResponse: {u'errorCode': u'OK', u'withdrawalErrorCode': u'MANUAL_INTERVENTION_REQUIRED', u'paymentID': 349659} Manual intervention is required, by the looks of it.

OK manage PMs it is then! Good thing I asked; I assumed managing PMs was the least important.
I'll start work on the auth stuff tonight and update here when I have news.
Thanks! (Well, PM's are important for anybody looking to make a bot, since public topic reply isn't really needed.)

If you are, as you admit, a person who knows next to nothing about mining, or a person who wants an easy mining experience, you can try BitMinter - the easiest miner (and pool) ever. (And if you make something, mind donating a bit? )

Woohoo, my first tip! Login support was low priority but I can move it to the top since I'd rather code things people actually want/need. What do you actually want to be able to do? Off the top of my head there are several major functions - Create/edit topic - Create/edit post - Edit profile/forums settings - Manage PMs If you let me know which is the most important I can do that first. But I can start coding the basic login steps (auth to server and store session cookie) now. Login, manage PMs. (Let's work on a tip bot!)

that said, what an awesomely cool app! (you know, if it doesn't steal from you)
Yes, indeed.

You are basically NOT mining at the moment, and have wasted 2 hours. The problem: It can't connect to bitcoind running on your local computer. If this isn't what you want, you need to configure Diablo Miner to mine in a pool, or start bitcoind.

Well, I'm looking at creating a Discourse forum to replace this one... *mmm* 3000 BTC... *drools*

Could someone, someone at all, try and integrate an API into this forum? It would make things so much easier, and allow for development of lots of different forum projects.
Why don't you create a SMF mod pitch it to theymos and if he looks over the code and agrees he may MAY use it on the forum. Otherwise start creating your own forum, and again pitch it to theymos for the bounty. Been thinking of doing just that...

Wole, that worked, I love you. Give me your BTC address sir. Also, I see something funny that happened. Apparently I took this wallet offline before some of the BTC in it was confirmed. So one transaction took place in May 2011, the next transaction took place a few minutes ago from the same address lol I assure you, the transaction took place in May 2011, but because I guess it didn't confirm back then, it just now processed? Wtf lol I would have said the same thing, if I wasn't too slow. Anyway, there are other methods to export a wallet.dat - like PywalletIf you aren't going to pay him, the address is down there

Don't use node-bitcoin! Use kapitalize. It's WAAAAY easier! (I talk with experience - yes, I code in Node.js and have Bitcoin experience )
