I might have been a little harsh yesterday and I apologize for that but these chinese newbies can't really understand english nor post in the chinese section because of the newbie restriction thing......They really need to make subsections in newbie just for different languages or else it's a pain in the arse for them...Btw the trichloro milk is a joke only people that lived in China would understand......and I'm chinese......

That was classy of you to follow-up today with this post!  I too apologize for my harsh comments. Hopefully the individuals who posted have found some good forum members to help them out.  It can definately be frustrating when you are new on this forum.

 Best of luck

Ps
I will have to research the milk joke!
662  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Value Hits $133 for the first time since May 26th on: August 28, 2013, 04:01:06 AM
its 118 now  Sad

nope, its 129.485. As of right  now.

To be safe I always pick the lower value.

Mentally, I pick the highest exchange rate (MtGox) for knowing what my BTC is worth and look at the lowest going rate when I want to buy!   Roll Eyes

You consider the exchange's solvency when considering exchanging BTC for fiat?

Lol...of course...

So you base your worth on an exchange value of an exchange that may be insolvent? May as well be playing monopoly or using a demo MT4 trading account.

Have no clue where you are coming up with that??? Sounds more argumentive then anything.  Since I don't intend on selling for a really long time, it is irrelevant what exchanges exist today or what their financial stability is. Whenever I am ready to exchange BTC for fiat then I would of course consider those factors.  I just mentioned that I mentally look at the highest price when I evaluate my own BTC portfolio.  It would be sorta foolish to look at the cheapest rate.  I only look at cheapest rates when buying gas....thats because I intend to purchase it within the week.

well, let me do some more reading...
but one thing I still insist is, this is an unfair game, for those who involved late, and too fair for those participate early. So it's not likely to attract more people in the future.
I know someone already have answers for this too, but obviously they are not convicing.

Do everyone a favor and take DeathAndTaxes advice:

664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LiteTree on: August 28, 2013, 02:53:53 AM
Litetree appears to be a new service.  I have not heard of it either, but seems like the owners are posting some threads today here with new accounts.  There are posts throughout the forum today talking about it.
665  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: August 27, 2013, 11:45:29 PM
10 years? You're insane.
Look at facebook, what happened to it since '04.
10 years is a long time. The price of BTC will be much higher than 1000$ or some alt will suceed by then.

It just seems like it would be a long time.I just can't see bit coin becoming 1000 in like only a year.

Within a year is definitely likely.  It is not that much different from going from $20 to $266.  With all the news & press stories coming out, a lot of new people are taking notice.  Surely wall street investors are also keeping an eye.  $1000 is a real possibilty in the near future.

Update very appreciated.  Thanks.
668  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wait for 2months for a BFL 5GH/s or buy Erupters now? on: August 27, 2013, 10:48:00 PM
I have 0 posts! May I advice too??? Cheesy
Despite posts count those people are right. You will never see ROI neither with BFL nor Erupters. Better to speculate with BTC value.
In asic-gambling word it is crucial to have it on time. BFL prooved to not deliver on time (over a year delay lol)
And erupters are just overpriced.

Never said the advice new people were giving was bad.  It is just funny seeing new forum members trying to help out their fellow bitcointalk friends!

670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any news from the meetup with US authorities from yesterday?? on: August 27, 2013, 09:55:04 PM
Haven't heard anything yet.

Expect some news (maybe not from the foundation) 8/30.

See the last paragraph here:

Thanks for the post.  That pdf sure looks like some interesting news may come out shortly.  They are definitely taking notice of crypto-currencies!

Wow, this thread has a lot of name callings and abuses going on in Mandarin. Language barrier certainly puts OP in a pickles, but calling everyone idiots (i.e. 你们都是白痴) is not very constructive either.
I would recommend people flag and report post to the moderators

So you think it is smart they are posting Mandarin in an English thread?  How can any of us help them if we cannot understand their writing.  They have a forum thread for their language.  It is stupid to post in a foreign language in the wrong section.  Maybe I should go post some English questions on their board.....

Just pointing out this sub-forum would be more appropriate:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=30.0

Chill..just chill.
You can either be part of solutions, or get out and take a break. You appear to understand what OP is saying, so you could have helped out by guiding OP to the right forum. But instead, you started name calling. There is a name for your action. It is called cyber bullying.
Anyway, don't bother reply. I won't keep reading your comments here.

No..I had no idea what they were talking about.  I don't speak Mandarin and google translation is foggy at best.  So no, I could not help them other than to point them to the correct sub-forum.  If you look at the entire thread you will see I am not alone in my questioning.

"Did you grow up drinking trichloro milk?"

What does that mean?

"These people are new in the community and are trying to blend in"

How are they trying to blend in by posting chinese on an english thread?  I don't see spanish, italian or russians posting in this area.  There are sub-forums created for different speaking languages.  I would suspect you would get better support posting (Chinese) in the forums of your language.

"this is racist and offensive"

Definitely not racist.  Maybe offensive if translation taken out of context.  Unfortunately google handles that.

So back to the original question....."why do they post chinese on a english forum."

Is it to get out of newbie jail?  Just asking......

Why would you do that? Your electricity bill is going to skyrocket with those GPUs and CPUs.

He may be mining alt coins as well as BTC.
