6701  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Stateless People - no nationality = 100% freedom on: July 17, 2013, 02:58:59 PM
Here are some stateless children enjoying their freedom. The freedom to make bricks.

...Picture edited out for space....

Do you know where the picture are take from?
No. It looks like Pakistan? And the kids are almost certainly not "stateless".

Wondering what they eat everyday for living
That pitcure is from modern-day slavery topics. Put it into google image search... Not stateless, but "freedomless". Leaves a bad taste afterwards.
That makes me wonder. If I wanted to enslave a stateless person, who would/could stop me?

The most important thing for me is not the brand, but whether it is jailbroken or not. Until you unlock your phone you don't really own it.
6705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where will we be in 90 days? on: July 16, 2013, 01:06:56 PM
In 90 days some people will be claiming bitcoin is about to soar to $300/, others will be claiming that bitcoin is crashing and about to become worthless. In fact, no one will know anything about the future in 90 days.

Welcome. I'm sure you will find many options for accepting BTC for payment.
6707  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie here... please help on: July 15, 2013, 05:45:17 PM
Hi and welcome.
With a bit more reading you may find that mining is not the best choice. It can be done, but at this point it is quite involved. I find the best way to get coins is either to buy them for cash or sell something for bitcoin.
6708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: when will 3D die? on: July 15, 2013, 04:37:53 PM
I'm with you on this. Rather than make better movies, the studios have to rely on gimmicks like 3D to appear innovative.
6709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why there is still no credit card which you can use your BTC? on: July 15, 2013, 02:54:55 PM
The stumbling blocks in creating such a card are not technical, they are legal.
6710  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A report about Bitmit and I am gonna sue them soon on: July 12, 2013, 04:56:59 PM
Does anyone know what happens if a fake identity were used? I don't see how paypal would return any money to a false identity. Not that they would keep it forever, but it could be tied up in court for years, right?
6711  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mainstream Media is a Hoax on: July 03, 2013, 08:12:22 PM
Years ago when I was in Haiti I lived at a special forces outpost. Two of the guys there told me over a few beers about their exploits in the first gulf war. They had dressed up as reporters and went to a hotel bar to look for real reporters. Then they just made stuff up. Both were shocked to see their lies in the NYTimes, and vowed to never believe the press again.

This is probably different than intentionally lying, I would not categorize this as hoax, but the unprofessionalism and intrinsic difficulty to collect accurate information
True that. This was a real PsyOp. They were lying to get the press to falsely report the positions of U.S. troops.

Actually, Obama called him last night to remind him that the US does not support any party in Egypt. Rather they support democracy, non-violence, and the rule of law. Clearly the white house is avoiding taking sides.
It is a sticky wicket for the U.S. Morsi is the fairly elected official, but he is using his power to institute anti-democratic measures.

I will give you 300BTC for proof of the governments perpetration of any of those attacks.

I would say this, but I don't feel like sorting through a bunch of over-the-top conspiracy theorist bullshit.
lol. yeah. I'm sure a grainy VHS tape will constitute "proof" for some. I suppose it is good that some people are very skeptical. It probably does keep a vigil against any real shenanigans. But as one who works with FEMA, DHS and others involved in rescue, it just looks so crackpot. Where would you even find thousands of people willing to betray and kill their fellow citizens for an evil plan against America? Have you met gov employees? It's hard enough to get them to do their real work.

6715  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are selling - where is the money on: July 03, 2013, 06:12:04 PM
I'm not selling, i'm buying. and the money is called bitcoin. lol
6716  Economy / Economics / Re: How much do you value your credit score? on: June 28, 2013, 06:58:14 PM
Just an update. It has been hard, but I am still maintaining my un-scoreable status. I am looking at buying some more land on the Ice Age trail and found a seller who values cash a lot more than credit scores. I am more convinced than ever that I do not need one.
6717  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways of making bitcoins. on: June 28, 2013, 06:47:36 PM
We get so many threads like this. What you are really asking is "How do I make money"? I bet most people can answer this question on their own.

6718  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it true that pop tarts are used as a measuring tool in European countries. on: June 28, 2013, 06:41:05 PM
I'll be damned. Pop-tarts are metric! 75mm X 125mm.   Smiley
6719  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are going down HARD [TA] on: June 28, 2013, 06:37:46 PM
I love the low prices. Since I never use bitcoin to buy crappy fiat, I could care less about Gox not being able to give out cash. These are great days.  Smiley
6720  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Foundation receives cease and desist order from California on: June 28, 2013, 06:33:10 PM
The Foundation is the target here, they can handle this.

They can? Let's see how well it goes when they start referring to the state officials as 'haters'.
At least it was a soft ball. I think that demonstrating that the foundation is a money transmitter will be hard for CA. It could even be a good fight to get into.
