Twitter banned the Maxwell trial tracker, had 500k followers - https://twitter.com/trackertrial

I don't believe in a grand conspiracy theory, but just in general incompetency by Twitter such that some minor rule must have been violated causing them to take action. There are other places to get info on the trial and Twitter's attempt to silence coverage will not be successful (because I don't think they tried). It's good to know their platform is dedicated to protecting the best among us. Wouldn't want any misinformation on Maxwell going around at all or anything.

It is too much to be a coincidence that as soon as Jack Dorsey steps down you see blatant censorship of seemingly legitimate accounts doing a public service of spreading information about an event people want to stay informed.  This might be the most obvious example ever of someone stepping down to take a fat paycheck and walk away while the powers that be immediately start to use their creation for evil.  People should take note.  Twitter might be the latest example, but this is happening everywhere, in all industries, across continents.  People need to learn to think for themselves or our civilization is screwed...

I was really amused about the Memphis - Lakers game last night. Lebron, Westbrook and Davis all were playing in this game but they still lost to Memphis by 108-95. The reason why especially was that Westbrook performed really bad. He was able to score only 9 points in 33 minutes. He got a 3/9 FG made. He missed many shots as he was not in fine feather.

A bad night after a good night. Westbrook seems inconsistent but at least he's trying to catch up. They should win against a handicapped Memphis but lack of fuel to boost their performance. Time to move on and hope for the best next game for the Lakers. A good win for those who bet against them making it worth it to bet o continue betting against them if they are the Favorites.

They are up against Oklahoma City Thunders and Orlando Magic for their next 2 games and it seems they will be tagged again as the Favorite.

Yeah, after a good win in their previous game, now they've suffered another loss against the Memphis.

Too bad the Lakers are really good at being inconsistent, James missing a 3 that will close the gap in the fourth and you can see the frustration on him after he missed that shot. He even goes early to the locker room without waiting for the actual buzzer. Not a good sign if we see him like this in a losing game.

Agreed, that is absolutely not a good sign and it can easily be said that frustration got him. I think that he would not have been frustrated if we could all say that it was a really good match but no one can say 'good game' after watching that match. Wall can be said is a 'good win' for or the grizzlies. The Lakers really performed below per by their standards. I just follow the odds in this game and it just sucked me.

Lakers are the favorite to win the game, they are -4 actually, but look at the result, Grizz beat them by 13 points, and they only score 98 points which you can tell they can't find their offense. Better luck next time, hopefully they'll adjust, they are still in the top 6 anyway, still would qualify in the playoffs.

The Lakers should be the favorite to win every night with their roster.  In their last loss Anthony Davis played terrible and Dwight Howard still only played 10 minutes despite being one of the leaders in fg% and snagging a few rebounds in that period (the Lakers were outrebounded again).  I used to like Frank Vogel, but it seems like he's just not the man for this job.  I'm sure he's a brilliant coach, but for whatever reason his style of play does not seem to mesh well with the Lakers roster and I think it's time to either say goodbye to the head coach, or trade Anthony Davis.

I’m not bothered that the new forum software hasn’t been implemented & a new, more modern website created. I probably would have a different opinion if I was a Donator though but that’s another story.

Nobody asked for new software as far as I know...  Back then we were donating to make sure this place could afford to keep the lights on.  I didn't realize I would be funding an individual to develop new software with the intention of profiting for themselves and whoever they deem on their wavelength.  It's a bit disappointing to be honest, and I would have definitely liked to have seen those funds used to support the community instead of being used to enrich a set of individuals that nobody seems to know.  In the time since I donated, community projects interacting with Bitcoin's blockchain have become basically non-existent here and the GLBSE that once housed many of them decided to close down suddenly and rip everyone off for a great deal of BTC, myself included, with no attempts ever made to pay back those who were robbed or acknowledge/support the projects that continued on after the GLBSE scam (which was co-owned by the individual accepting donations on behalf of bitcointalk).  It's all been incredibly disappointing, but we move on...
6784  Other / Meta / Re: If the signature campaings are removed from the forum, will you stay or leave? on: December 09, 2021, 09:52:07 PM
This looks like a honeypot. I'm sure everyone who chose the first option will be banned, and everyone who chose the second option will be red-trusted for being dishonest.

Why?  I voted for the second option and I’ve never been part of a signature campaign and can’t see any circumstance in which I would.
I don't think that suchmoon was serious about that honeypot thing, but one thing implied there is true: ~95% (pure guesstimate based from what I saw in these 2 years on the forum) of the people that are wearing signature are either lying to themselves or others (probably both) if they claim to keep the  same activity regardless of signature campaigns.

Hell, majority of people adjust their posting habits based on the signature campaign rules and now imagine what would happen if there is no financial incentive to keep posting day after day, without never taking a break. Taking a break here in majority of cases equals to being kicked out of campaign and no one wants that.

As a result of being in a signature campaign for a gambling operation I have moved my witty sports commentary from NBA message boards to bitcointalk.  It doesn't really provide any relevant information for this site, but it's a conversation I'd have anyway, so I figure I might as well have it here and get paid while promoting a service I appreciate.  At the same time it inflates the views here and makes the site more relevant on the internet.  I guess it's a win-win for everyone in that regard.  The annoying thing to me is when trolls who have no idea what they're talking about chime in on actual Bitcoin activity with nonsense to inflate their post count.  We see way too much of that...
6785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 09, 2021, 09:41:20 PM
Still, I can't believe that the Rockets defeated the Nets by 10 points. I mean yes Durant didn't play at that game and yes we can say that Harden played on that game as well but we already saw how Harden is playing right now. He is kinda struggling for me and his numbers are obviously lower than his stats years ago. He really is affected by the changing rules that he is having a hard time to it. He had 25 points and almost a triple double but see his FG and 3PT percentages. Both at 25% and if you will ask other players, this is unacceptable and consider a bad night still.

Not only Harden who has been struggling lately, there were a couple superstars more who also been struggling since the start of the season.
AD has not been doing well for the Lakers, his shooting average is in a worse figure throughout his career.
Jason Tatum was also struggling early this season as he also averaged 39% fgm. at some point.
And the worse case is for Kemba Walker who has been out of the rotation.
In James Harden's case, I can also say that he's really been heavily affected by the new rules, because that's what he usually do.

Yeah looks like kemba's time with the Knicks is going to end as quick as it started lol.  Something more has to be going on with him or maybe thibs just likes the younger guys and want to open a rotation spot.  Either way 2 years for 20 mil, they need to figure a way to get kemba minutes in which he can positively contribute.

His struggle continues and I'm not happy after seeing this article as we might see another NBA player with uncertain future in the NBA.

Knicks’ Kemba Walker sells Massachusetts mansion amid career struggle

Quote
Only two years after purchasing a one-and-a-half acre lot to build a sprawling 9,500-square-foot home, former Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker has sold his Massachusetts estate in an off-market deal.

The move comes after Walker, who grew up in the Bronx, joined the New York Knicks in August. But his recent benching on the team, and removal from the Knicks rotation in favor of Alec Burks, put his future with the NBA in question.

It seemed odd that Charlotte was willing to let him walk a few years ago.  I guess we can see now that they saw the decline happening and chose to stay ahead of it by moving on to a younger and larger PG.  It's shocking how fast Kemba went from a killer to nobody wanting him.  He's got to be going through some things right now.  It's clear he's going to be traded at the first opportunity so selling his mansion now before the market crashes (high end real estate market is already seeing closings down 20% from asking price) is probably a wise move for a guy quickly approaching retirement.  Best of luck to Kemba whatever happens.  He was an absolute monster in college.

Any tips for stability issues?  I keep seeing hashrate on 3xxx series gpus dropping down to 5mh/s after a few hours.  I've resorted to stock clocks but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick.  Maybe I should try reinstalling drivers, or messing with my memory settings?  That's about where I'm at with troubleshooting...  Not sure what could be causing this outside of the LHR causing issues.  Are others with LHR miners having stability issues as well?  Would like to know if it's just me or if the software is still having bugs stomped out.
6787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 09, 2021, 07:16:39 AM
The Houston Rockets just beat the Brooklyn Nets today 104-114, that team is the number 1 seed in the eastern conference. Man! this team is starting to get on their rhythms, you won't see such things happening in an NBA season more often and they are now on their 7th straight win. They were the last team last month and they were struggling too much to get a single win after losing almost every game and now they are rallying to get to the top 10 just a few more wins to go.

I was also amazed by their performance.

last time they've been questioning if they can continue the rally since the last 6 straight wins are not
a super-team types of opponents, but boy' they now beat the top seeder from the east side,

Though that's a KD less squad, but Harden was there and the supporting players are capable of competing. It's interesting no betting with Houston, handicap for them would be nice next target.

The rockets are supposed to be tanking this year. I’m not sure what’s going on. This is a situation where better might really be worse. Come draft time, they may wish this winning streak never happened. I am shocked they’re managing to put up wins with an all but forgotten roster.
6788  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo BTC Software/Image and Support thread on: December 09, 2021, 01:17:56 AM
They wont work on any other pool that expects you to put out the correct format %08x.
Without the zeros added, the shares are rejected since they don't hash to the correct diff.
When I get my Apollo, I would like to try with and without 08. It should be easy to insert 2 bytes in any disassembler.. Smiley
I simply had someone on my pool ask about it when they chose to turn it on.
I noticed a lot of errors on my pool console, (quickly) identified what the problem was, added a change to my pool, and thus it works fine now.
Yes the shares have version values, but any with a smaller value (below 10000000 hex) are missing the leading zeros.
The rest are ok.
When you are submitting shares that 'can' be valid, and the pool is rejecting them (even if they are blocks) due to the mining software ignoring what stratum expects, it's never a good thing.

It does seem if the fix is as easy as claimed and there is no harm to having it done that way, we should at least have the option of some sort of temporary band-aid experimental software we can download to activate asicboost on our Apollos.  As stated, it shouldn't be too difficult.  Even if the download link was only posted on this thread.  As long as it came from the official site I think people would feel comfortable trying it out and it could only be a good thing for customers which is a good thing for FutureBit right?
6789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 08, 2021, 07:46:29 PM
Even though lakers won their matchup against the celtics yesterday, i still think that there is reason for concern.

It's clear that LeBron is slowing down in his 19th season and isn't the same player as a couple of years ago.

They'd only be able to win anything of Russ and AD steps up big time and don't hurt themselves which is a huge ask.

I thought LeBron looked amazing in that game.  Russ was doing pretty good as well.  Between the two of them they absolutely owned the first and third quarters.  I think AD is still a problem though.  He plays like he's 10 years older than he is and I think injuries are going to be a problem for the rest of his career.  If I were managing the team, I would seriously be considering trading AD while he still has a high value and LeBron is still able to win championships.  It may sound crazy, but I would be calling up the sixers and seeing about a Russ/AD for Embid/Simmons trade...  It's criminal that they're going to blame the coach and fire him instead.
6790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 08, 2021, 07:43:49 PM
I really don't think this fight is going to happen.  Logan isn't acting like a guy who is about to get in the ring with Mike Tyson.  He's been partying like crazy and you can tell just from watching his podcast that his body is not being kept in fighting shape.  He looks like he's already lost 20lbs of muscle and I think he's been drunk since the Mayweather fight.  If he doesn't get himself into training camp soon or cancel this fight he's going to get murdered in the ring by Tyson.

Unfortunately the site still does not work with the TOR browser.  Is this by design?  With so many people opting for their privacy these days, especially when it comes to things like online gambling, I imagine not being compatible with a certain browser has got to have an effect on revenue.  I'm just curious if this is an issue that is going to be resolved at some point, of it the new way of keeping users logged in is going to make it impossible for browsers like TOR to be useable on the site.
6792  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Is it a million dollar bill? on: December 07, 2021, 09:04:07 PM
It sounds like you have a star note which is a replacement bank note - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Replacement_banknote

They're usually worth more than face value to a collector, read the wiki above to get some general information.
The number itself is also interesting. Thanks for the link.

I'm not sure I'd call the number itself interesting or having any additional value.  I assume you're talking about because there's a 69 in it?  There's got to be millions of other bills with that same claim.  If I'm missing something obvious feel free to point it out to me but it sounds like the "star note" value is what would give this any additional value.

https://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/star-notes/lookup

You can lookup your star notes here and see exactly how rare they are.  Many of them are produced in the millions, but depending on the year you may have one worth between $120-$2000 from a quick look at the market (literally took a 1 minute look so take that with a grain of salt).

Hallo.

Looks like a good night for basketball. We’ve got both the Nets and Lakers playing televised games on TNT tonight. I’m not betting, but I’d guess the Nets and Celtics will be taking home wins just based off of how their opponents have been playing lately. Won’t be much longer now until the Christmas Day games that we wait all year for. I hope all the players involved can stay healthy and covid free so we get a good show.
6795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 07, 2021, 12:50:53 AM
Big turn of an event I wonder if Woodley is fully prepared for this, it's 10 days to go before the fight, if Woodley already has an alibi because he is not yet in full shape, anyway it's still an interesting fight to see and a grudge fight too, Woodley has been trying to get a rematch now that it's on he should be ready in the 18th Jake Paul it seems si fully prepared, hopefully, we'll see a knock out here.

That's what I was thinking.  Woodley has an alibi if he loses and he gets the paycheck he's been asking for.  A win-win for him.  On the other side of the ring, Jake really had no other choice and is grateful I'm sure to still be able to collect a payday after setting up so much for the event.  The additional $500K bonus if Woodley knocks him out seems like the icing on the cake to make people know that Woodley has an incentive to try and win.  I'm not sure how many people care to watch this rematch though.  I know I don't.  If someone gets knocked out I'll happily watch the clip but we've already seen this spectacle.

You really should increase the character count on this signature campaign.  Look at all the shitposts from useless spammers and trust abusers like suchmoon just to earn money from this campaign: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=234771;sa=showPosts

I think this might have turned into the biggest funder of spam and launderer of stolen funds on this forum.  Amazing what people will turn their heads to so long as the right pockets are being greased...
6797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rapper Snoop Dogg partnership with virtual blockchain world Sandbox on: December 06, 2021, 10:08:24 PM
Just another marketing ploy. I know that Sandbox is another nft game. I think these days that NFT games or any NFT art will be endorsed by a known celebirty for them to get more players and investors.
Well, it's been working and effective before so it will still be effective for some.

This seems like a pretty bad take.  The Sandbox has since added billions of dollars to their market cap as a result of the growth kickstarted by Snoop's partnership.  I also wouldn't classify it as an NFT game.  I think people could play in the sandbox and enjoy themselves without having any knowledge of NFTs whatsoever.  I've spent a little time in there now and I'm impressed with the development occurring.  My expectations were a minecraft style game that would be totally lame for anyone over the age of 10.  It has some potential though and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience offered.  Now if I could only snatch an Alpha Pass from someone...

Maybe we should crowd fund an alpha pass and pass it around so we can see more of what's in store.  Smiley
6798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $550,000 gambling on sports this month on: December 06, 2021, 10:03:30 PM
We always see people post about losses, but I won $550,000 this month betting on sports (soccer mostly), and it has truly changed my life! I mostly bet on total goals and match winner! Would love to know if anybody else has experienced this level of success!  Smiley

That is pretty amazing.  I'm curious if you became rich and then started playing around with gambling and that's why you do so in such large amounts, or if you worked your way up by gambling from a small amount to making millions.  I assume you got rich doing something else and are enjoying the fruits of your labor, but it would be one hell of a story if your account started with a $100 deposit and now you have life changing wealth.  Either way, congratulations.  Not many people ever get that sort of play around money.  I'm not sure if there's ever an amount of wealth I could attain that would have me playing with such a massive stack.
6799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Potential price of Polygon (MATIC) next year on: December 06, 2021, 07:17:16 PM
I’m a bit surprised that Matic isn’t trading around $6 right now. I assume given a bit more time it will likely hit that mark. It is the #1 NFT chain by volume and they are making all the right partnerships. I think if you hold ETH, also buying Matic makes a good hedge against the gas price issue. The price also does still appear to be rising over most time periods, indicating that it is still in price discovery. I think Matic could have a very bright future. Particularly if NFTs on 2nd or 3rd layer Bitcoin solutions never become popular.
6800  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: December 06, 2021, 07:12:19 PM
Too much leverage in the system that was set into cascading liquidations due to the hack and dumping of $150,000,000 from Bitmart. Historically these events have led to a full recovery and stronger market going forward. The timing is unfortunate since this is when Bitcoin is supposed to be rocketing upward, but there was too much leverage in the system so maybe this will turn out to be a blessing. It does kick the can down the road a little bit on the expected fomo top.
