Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers game was also a nice one. Since Lillard got injured, Portland haven't been performing very good. But I guess there are not too many people who are surprised by this result.
Not only Lillard was injured, CJ also did not play in that game, so the Warriors have all the reason to beat the Blazers. But lucky for the Blazers, they cover the spread as the Warriors only won by 10 points. The most surprising game last night for me was the Nets vs Rockets, and that was a big upset as not only the Rockets won, they also dominate the Nets.

I'm not sure about the odds pre-game but I envy those who on the underdogs today (Cavs, Heat, Rockets). Anyway, moving on to the next and we got Jazz vs. Sixers. Both teams looked to be in good shape in their last five games. The game should be close and could be over 220. What's your take?

~
They are tanking but not to the point that they will let all of their games lose.
They won't have any fans left if they keep on losing or if they play lousy in every game. They somehow need to balance tanking and selling tickets Grin

The result of the Rockets - Nets game was really surprising for me also. But Kevin Durant was rested and didn't play in this game. This could be the main reason why Nets lost this game like 114-104. Harden tried to carry his team against his old team here but it wasn't enough for getting a win. Harden was nearly making a triple-double btw (25 pts, 11 reb, 8 ast).

But there's Harden who can also carry the team, and not only that, some of the players on the Nets are veterans, they know how to win games as they were star players before when they are still at their prime, it's just that the Rockets are getting better and they continue their win streak to 7.

An unexpected turn of events and I guess most of us here lose our bet for the Bucks.
It's a fact that the Miami Heat is undermanned without Butler and Bam Adebayo so basically you will bet for the stronger team especially in the painted area where Giannis will use his strength to abuse a team with an absent shot blocker.
But surprisingly, new names (for me) suddenly popped out and we don't see them mostly except for garbage time where we usually turn off our television or if the star needs a bit of a rest.

Caleb Martin - they use them a lot of times but when Butler is around he average 15-20 minutes
KZ Okpala - Dec. 5 (Bucks) - 7 mins. Dec. 7 (Grizzlies) - 1 minute Dec. 9 - 32 minutes
Max Strus - Same with Caleb Martin.

PJ Tucker - special mention for that great defense which is a walk in the park for him.  Cheesy I wish they would keep this up.

He is one of the reasons why Bucks were a successful team last season, he will surely do the same thing with his new team. Comes the playoffs, we will see the value of Tucker who can even play as a center like he did when he was still playing with the Rockets.

Honesty, I'm also surprised by Martin's performance, and this game was probably the best in his career. So the Heat have shown that they can cope with the Bucks even without key players like Butler and Adebayo. Although it's worth noting that the Heat was a little lucky because Giannis didn't show the best performance in this match.

Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers game was also a nice one. Since Lillard got injured, Portland haven't been performing very good. And we understand this from their current form as their losing streak has increased to 4 games by this one. GSW destroyed them by 104-94 even though Curry didn't play that much impressive.

Of course, CJ McCollum is also one of the most important players for Portland. He has contributed very well to the team so far. He can be a game changer when he wants to be. With these important losses, it would be daydreaming to expect them to defeat GSW. Maybe if Curry also wasn't in the game, then Portland would have a bigger chance. But here we are.

Portland would not win without CJ and Lillard, the team relies heavily on these two backcourt duo and they are playing very well, the only problem is their defense like what we witnessed in the past playoffs. I like this team, they are very consistent in going to the playoffs but they disappoint me every time, so at some point, they made some disappointment especially to the fans that supported them.

I just wish for fast recovery on both of them especially to CJ McCollum that got a lung collapse and it isn't just some minor injury. I think the loss was something expected considering both of their ace player was out indefinitely, and, even if Curry didn't play I guess the Warriors is still a dangerous as it could be.

A win is still a win even though the Warriors didn't have an impressive shooting percentage on the game.
At the same time, Lillard and CJ didn't play so I think this is almost expected that the Warriors will win the game.

Still, I can't believe that the Rockets defeated the Nets by 10 points. I mean yes Durant didn't play at that game and yes we can say that Harden played on that game as well but we already saw how Harden is playing right now. He is kinda struggling for me and his numbers are obviously lower than his stats years ago. He really is affected by the changing rules that he is having a hard time to it. He had 25 points and almost a triple double but see his FG and 3PT percentages. Both at 25% and if you will ask other players, this is unacceptable and consider a bad night still.

to me seemed like people were way to hyped on this season with early narratives going crazy.

still going to be same players at the top in 2022. just whether KP and Luka is real or not cos they have the most upside as a duo.

As for me, people are just too excited because as we all know, the pandemic hindered lots of sports events since it started. There will be the same players yet the current situation that we have now is quite better than last season.

Not only Harden who has been struggling lately, there were a couple superstars more who also been struggling since the start of the season.
AD has not been doing well for the Lakers, his shooting average is in a worse figure throughout his career.
Jason Tatum was also struggling early this season as he also averaged 39% fgm. at some point.
And the worse case is for Kemba Walker who has been out of the rotation.
In James Harden's case, I can also say that he's really been heavily affected by the new rules, because that's what he usually do.

Yeah looks like kemba's time with the Knicks is going to end as quick as it started lol.  Something more has to be going on with him or maybe thibs just likes the younger guys and want to open a rotation spot.  Either way 2 years for 20 mil, they need to figure a way to get kemba minutes in which he can positively contribute.

That's why NBA is more exciting now as they are not anymore in the bubble, as we can see during live games, even if we are just watching on our own TV, we can see the fans energizing the building and the home team, and that's the real spirit why we love seeing the NBA games.

His struggle continues and I'm not happy after seeing this article as we might see another NBA player with uncertain future in the NBA.

Knicks’ Kemba Walker sells Massachusetts mansion amid career struggle

Quote
Only two years after purchasing a one-and-a-half acre lot to build a sprawling 9,500-square-foot home, former Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker has sold his Massachusetts estate in an off-market deal.

The move comes after Walker, who grew up in the Bronx, joined the New York Knicks in August. But his recent benching on the team, and removal from the Knicks rotation in favor of Alec Burks, put his future with the NBA in question.

The most attracting game for me tonight is Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks now. There is not much time left for the game to start. And I see that there are some important missing players at Heat. We will see if this will affect them very badly. Bucks are only one position ahead of Heat now in the Eastern Conference. Comparing their forms, Bucks are in a more stable condition. They won 4 of their last 5 games and Heat were able to win only one. And Bucks were overwhelming against Heat in most of their last head-to-heads. I think Bucks can get another win here.
The Buck will dominate against the shorthanded Heat and that' easy to see unless Herro and Lowry score 40+ points. Spoelstra insists that they have enough players who can win which is a good thing to say to motivate his players. I doubt he's 100% convince with that.

Probably another 120+ points for the Bucks.

We were waiting for that to happen but it turns out that Heat destroyed them by 113-104. But I believe that the main reason for it is that Giannis didn't play very good this time. Even though he played for 32 minutes, Giannis got only 15 points. J. Holiday (27 pts) and Middleton (20 pts) tried to carry the team but it was not enough for a win. After losing two times in a row, Heat finally got a nice win.

Yeah, I thought that the Bucks are going to win in this game, unfortunately, Giannis is still not 100% in this game because it is very unusual for him to just score 15 points and without the big man Bam in the middle to contest his shot.

Got that all wrong and I also lost a few bucks on the Bucks hehe. It happens.

Yeah that uConn team was sick, nobody could stop him.  Was hoping a return back to msg would reliant it for him.  Season is young and thibs is tactical so there could be another thing at play.  Maybe pumping up the value on another guard.  Kba didn't play bad from the jump it was the last couple games he played where he struggled. Was always a fan hopefully he puts it together.
