Прежде, чем народ будет участвовать в этом проекте, я хочу сказать, что по некоторым данным более половины биткойнов уже находятся у одного человека.

What is Long Polling ?
The first client software with Long Polling support will be the new version of m0mchil's OpenCL miner which is expected to be released soon.

I hope that beta test of this feature will be successfull.

ok, it's out, how to enable that? use "-a 10" instead of "-a 5" ?

685  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you get online? What speeds you getting? on: March 11, 2011, 07:06:48 PM

it's 50% less outside coutry

$15,50/month + 65 TV channels, half are worthless Grin

for less than $3 more I can get speed doubled

More (probable) math problems a friend and I are trying to do.

Looking at the 5770, you have a 156.83 Mhash/s, and based on the Mhash/w rate, that's .688705234 watts per Mhash. So, this is what the friend emailed to me:

Quote
So in a second, you're using 156.83*.688705234 Watts. That's 108.009642 Watts per second, or 388834.711 Watts per hour. Divided by 1000 will give you the kwh, of 388.834711 kwh. At $.11/kwh, that would be $43.22/hour, and you would expect 1.5 BTC each day at the current difficulty. How do people make money with this?

So, I'm not sure how to calculate actual video card power usage, but where in the above are we off?

with $43.22/hour, you'll end up with $29,000 electricity bill to pay, fortunately for your wallet, copper wires will melt in the very first 2 minutes Cheesy

5770 is 50% slower than 5870

5970 is 175% faster than 5870
690  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: RPC Miners (CPU/4way/CUDA/OpenCL) on: March 11, 2011, 05:18:29 PM
for radeon use SDK 2.2
run poclbm with -f120 -v -w128
lower priority of poclbm with task manager to low

if you play youtube clips, expect hashrate to drop by 50%
if still lags, rise value to -f150 or more

HD5770 + Ati Stream 2.1 + Catalyst + Windows 7 64bit = worked out of teh box without any issue.
Well, actually i have an issue: 25% constant cpu load (quad core machine).
I only have one miner instance open, crunching at +- 170Mhash/s with the gpu.
How come it is using that CPU core?

[edit]
@m0m
Hey man, could you please update the executable on OP?
I'm lazy to setup a compiling environment Tongue
[/edit]

do Ctrl alt delete and check your processes to see what is using your CPU

explorer.exe, stopping mining, stops cpu usage, I have same problem with HD5770 + Ati Stream 2.1 + WindowsXP
693  Local / Трейдеры / Re: btcex.com: обмен BTC, USD, EUR, JPY, WMZ, WMR, Яндекс Деньги on: March 09, 2011, 04:45:19 PM

Grin

can you tell me 156Mhash/s how many shares/hour(average, minimum?) should produce - please with formulae Smiley

I'm a bit lost as I don't run 24/7
695  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: RPC Miners (CPU/4way/CUDA/OpenCL) on: March 07, 2011, 10:43:08 AM
I found that when initial allocation of resources shows something different from 128,256(speed benchmark?), gpu is not used @ 100% happens mostly after using 3D/Cuda resources and launching miner in less than 1 minute
696  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: python OpenCL bitcoin miner on: March 06, 2011, 10:44:02 AM

does poclbm + sdk2.1 work for anyone on windows?  I cannot find a single instance of anyone posting that this works.

I really want it to work because 2.2 and 2.3 jack the cpu usage through the roof and they are slower.

I have HD5770 with 2.1 and 11.2 drivers(only drivers, no CCC) working with poclbm - 156Mhash/s and winxp sp3

I had sdk 2.3 initially, but deinstalled for 2.2, then for 2.1, which gave me best results in terms of speed
697  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: New pool with proportional and pay-per-share reward distribution, ~45 Gh/s on: March 06, 2011, 12:21:57 AM
That sheet looks cool, are you considering sharing it? Or does it work only for you?
Ask all you want man, no worries. If you want, i'd share it of course. You have to populate it from the "statistics" page on deepbit's web-site though. It works for a single person only. Just fill the Hours column with the "Hours" it took to give you each reward, and the minutes with the minutes, and the reward with the reward given, that's it. My style is always n00bish at programming (whatever form), that's why any script/program i've ever made looked completely n00by Cheesy. If you have any questions just ask me in a PM please.

698  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: RPC Miners (CPU/4way/CUDA/OpenCL) on: March 05, 2011, 01:40:20 PM
hello, I have win7 x64 and Nvidia GTX560 Ti, factory overclocked to 900/1800/2000

last night another application caused conhost.exe to crash and thus ending rpcminer-cuda.exe

the problem is that afterwards your program uses at most 95% of the card, something like 95% throttling, instead of 99%, causing my hash/s to drop from previously average 86700 to 81500

any ideas how to correct that?
