682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sad reality: some countries gamble more than they can afford on: November 10, 2023, 10:25:36 PM
-snip
What do you think about this issue where people gamble too much in countries where the vast majority of the population isn't well off? Should governments step in and restrict casinos more perhaps?
Unfortunately, this situation is not unique, it’s a global issue. There are reasons why people in poor countries may be more likely to gamble because it offers a quick and easy way to make money which is very appealing to people who are struggling financially. It can be a way to escape from the stress and difficulties of everyday life.
The government has a responsibility to protect its citizens from the harms of gambling addictions like regulating casinos to ensure that it is operating fairly and responsibly. In the current state of our country, it seems unreliable because I don't see if they are taking steps to provide education and support to people who are at risk of developing a gambling problem.
683  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: NEW NFT GAME - MonMon Land on: November 10, 2023, 09:11:10 AM

684  Other / Meta / Re: People commenting on the first page without having read the previous posts. on: November 09, 2023, 01:03:33 PM
It's like jumping into a movie halfway through and pretending you know the plot. I get the frustration, it can often lead to misunderstandings and repetition. But I think it's important to follow the etiquette of commenting on forum threads. It’s indeed a common courtesy to read previous comments before adding your own, especially if the thread isn’t too long. This helps maintain the flow of the conversation and prevents the repetition of points already made.
Sending a PM to the manager might be a bit like calling for the referee in a game, but if it helps maintain the integrity of the discussion, why not? It's up to the manager to decide whether or not to pay the commenter.
Just two cents of my opinion.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holding for long might not be the best option. on: November 09, 2023, 12:43:52 PM
Hindsight is 20/20. Predicting the market is a tricky game, and everyone's got their own strategy. While some may swear by the HODL mantra, others prefer playing it safe with strategic moves like swapping to stablecoins when the market gets rocky. It's all about finding the balance that suits your risk tolerance and financial goals. As a Bitcoin believer, I consider it a good long-term investment for being well-established and has support from the community.

As for gambling, I don’t view Bitcoin investment as a form of gambling, well, easy come, easy go, right?
686  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coinsph nawalan ng xrp , Mag-ingat on: November 09, 2023, 12:30:41 AM
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bustabit Bankroll Profit Predictor on: November 09, 2023, 12:12:49 AM
I checked out your Bustabit Bankroll profit predictor, and it's an interesting tool you've created. I appreciate your transparency about the alpha status of your site and your plans to improve its accuracy. I'm also curious to hear what Devans thinks about your site, it would be great to have some insights from the platform's creator. Keep up the good work, and I hope your tool continues to evolve and provide valuable information to potential investors. Best of luck with your project!

I compared what I could potentially gain if I were to invest in their casino, but it turned out to be smaller than what I'm currently investing in, which is unrelated to gambling. The current investment I have is a business with a physical location outlet, and the owner is well-known in our town. They offer a 30% return on your investment capital after a month, and the minimum investment required is quite low. Nothing, I just shared. I thought that the return from the casino would be larger compared to a traditional business.

690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Meta's no ads subscription and gambling disorder. on: November 07, 2023, 09:43:56 AM
I think it is important to note that the no-ads subscription is not just for people who have gambling disorders. It is for anyone who wants to avoid advertising on Facebook and Instagram. This could include people who are trying to reduce their spending, people who are trying to improve their mental health, or people who simply don't want to see ads. I wonder how effective the no-ads subscription will be in reducing gambling disorder. It is possible that some people may still be able to find ways to gamble even if they are not seeing ads on Facebook and Instagram. I am also interested to see how popular the no-ads subscription will be. Is it worth the price for people?

692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your thoughts about potential newly borned coins during the bear market? on: November 07, 2023, 08:40:47 AM
I’ll be careful and only invest in coins that have strong fundamentals, have a clear and concise use case, and solve a real-world problem.
Coins work interestingly and innovative projects, and they have strong teams behind them, are experienced, and have a good track record.
I still prefer to look for coins that are listed on reputable exchanges.
I’m not yet investing with these coins, but I’m starting to look at them, most of them are built in Cosmos:
Aptos (APT), Sui (SUI), Osmosis (OSMO), Juno (JUNO), Secret Network (SCRT), Cosmos Hub (ATOM)
693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it Hold? BTC Targets $40,000 on: November 07, 2023, 05:25:06 AM
I agree that it is likely to continue its bullish momentum this week, the demand is exceeding supply for positive signs. The weekly RSI is above 70, which indicates that Bitcoin is overbought. This could lead to a short-term correction, but the overall trend remains bullish. The MACD is crossing above the signal line, which is another bullish signal. The 200-week moving average is at $31,500, which is a key support level. I think that Bitcoin is well-positioned to continue its rally towards $40,000 in the coming weeks. However, it is important to be aware of the potential for a short-term correction, especially if the RSI gets too overbought.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: at which point of a boxing match you consider cashingout? on: November 07, 2023, 04:00:27 AM
I would consider some conditions.
If you are comfortable with the possibility of losing the bet, then wait until the match ends and if you want a guaranteed win then lock in the profit.
Look at the current odds, if the odds have changed significantly in your favor since you placed your bet, you may want to consider cashing out.
Consider the state of the fight, if your fighter is clearly in control, you may want to wait for the decision to try to maximize your profits. However, if your fighter is struggling, you may want to cash out and guarantee some profit.
Trust your gut instinct, if you feel like you should cash out, even if the numbers don't make sense, go with your gut.
695  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga ragnarok classic gamer maganda ito on: November 07, 2023, 03:25:34 AM

696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using TV( GOTV, DSTV) monthly subscription money to invest in bitcoin on: November 06, 2023, 08:40:31 AM
It's getting tiring watching the same movie over and over every month. If you know that you hardly benefit from it anymore and you've also mentioned that you're not satisfied with it, it's better to allocate that to something else, like considering and planning to invest in Bitcoin for potential gains. Just go for the lower subscription for the kids. But before you do that, you should also be aware of the associated risks and the possibilities that may occur, not just the potential benefits. If you're sure and comfortable with it, then go for it!
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 06, 2023, 03:35:39 AM
It's really tempting to try and win a big prize like other bettors. What if you've tried copying someone else's bet that hasn't been won yet like you're trying to snatch the prize from that bet?
I've also tried copying other bets, but maybe not exactly the way you're doing it. However, in the long run, you'll still lose what you've won if you keep on playing.
For me, it's not so much about luck or destiny. I think it's a matter of chance, and there's no guarantee of success.
I know you've probably read or heard this many times, but what works for one person may not necessarily work for another.

Kapag present ang tatlo na ito umiwas na kayo lalo na if sa interest palang malaki na matakot kana, sa invite naman if wala kang ilalabas at invite mo okay lang, pero if may ilalabas tapos downline ayun ingat na.
-snip
699  Other / Off-topic / Re: How important is cryptography? on: November 05, 2023, 02:00:40 PM
Cryptography is indeed a fundamental component and aspect of Bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies. It plays a role in functionality, securing transactions (It prevents coin duplicate spending and enables all of this to take place without the need for a centralized authority (like a bank or government) to regulate the system.) and ensuring the privacy and integrity of the network (It ensures that only the intended recipient can comprehend what is being sent). The cryptographic methods used to generate and manage these keys are what make Bitcoin secure (This is what allows a user to authorize a transaction on the network. Your public key is the only piece of information someone needs to send you Bitcoin, so you may freely share it.)
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting online courses? on: November 05, 2023, 01:05:49 PM
Such as?
-snip

you do not need to apply for an online course on sports betting, in a specific what kind of sports you are looking at?
-snip

Tennis, football/soccer, NBA, boxing, and esports

Yes, there are online sports betting courses both free and paid but my question is what do you want to learn? Is it the picks? Or there are some options you don't understand? Is it the strategy to win?
-snip
I want to learn and understand more about common terms used in sports betting, such as 'handicap' and the like. What are they for, and how are they used?

Thank you all for your valuable insights and opinions, it's clear that the idea of such courses is met with a range of perspectives. You emphasized the importance of understanding the sport you're betting on and gaining knowledge through personal research and experience. I appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as I continue to explore and learn more about sports betting. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!
