I'm fine with swapping out for the same power footprint, as that is ultimately the root of the problem.  Space can be managed most likely, but power is much more difficult to manage - 19 singles would consume almost double what power consumption is now, which is right around 3000w.

Let me see what I can shuffle around and see if I can somehow fit almost 20 singles in somewhere.
682  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 19, 2013, 09:12:58 AM
In order for me to keep my pre-orders Josh is making me do the following:

  • Apologize Publicly for calling Josh and BFL liars
  • Admit "Werner" is a sock puppet account uner my control
  • Apologize for using "Werner" to troll him

Therefore, in the best interest of Cognitive, the people who have purchased pre-orders from me, and myself:

Dear Inaba and BFL:

Sorry for calling you liars. Werner is a sock puppet account under my control. Sorry for utilizing said account to "troll" you.

                                         With regret,
                                                     Garr255

Also, I apologize to all who I may have put risk by speculating that BFL may have been acting in a dishonest fashion. If I had known that the cancellation of orders placed by me would result of this I would not have acted in such a way, as that would be a direct violation of the fiduciary duty imposed on me by handing others' assets.

wow just wow, most people will ask where is you pride, but you just proved that you control your ego, most people will say you are a coward but I think it takes allot of courage to do this.

Josh and BFL employees, regarding these angry people who post all kind of things you do not like, don't you think that this is justified by looking to the fact that your plans went so wrong, your customers had trusted you by putting pre-orders and each time something went wrong you came here and humiliated every one said anything about it ?

So let me get this straight:

You think it's ok to make baseless accusations.
You think it's ok to use a sock puppet account to troll people.
You think it's ok to lie about said socket puppet account and explicitly post a contradictory post when caught in said lie.

Does that about cover it?  If BFL "humiliated everyone said anything about it" this forum would be filled with nothing but BFL posts.  If you want to complain, fine, by all means, have at it... there are many, many posts and threads doing just that.  I tried to help Garr out and got nothing but crap in return, finally culminating in him using a socket puppet account to further troll the situation.  Then, this lovely and incredibly disingenuous apology follows.  Yes, sure.. whatever you say.

The bottom line is, if you want to get unreasonable, we simply don't want to deal with you.  We have our hands full dealing with adult customers who are reasonable, we have no need for unreasonable, irrational customers throwing tantrums and screaming "Me first GIMME GIMME!"

683  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Can I get some clarification on this BFL product? on: June 19, 2013, 08:52:11 AM
The problem with kibi, mebi, gibi, etc... is that it will likely never achieve widespread adoption in US English (at the very least) because the phonemes used are very close to what us Americans perceive as "baby talk."  If they had gone with a less offensive sounding set of prefixes, they'd have likely had wider adoption by now.  Not that I disagree with the sentiment though.

Hmm.. I wonder what IP addresses we'd find if we looked at the IP addresses of Garr and Werner...

Don't let me deprive you of a full size image, either.

I did not request a refund. If you refund me, I expect the full amount of BTC I paid to be refunded. If you are able to do this I will gladly take my business elsewhere, because believe it or not you have competition now

You'll get the full amount you paid in USD, since that's how our products are priced.

As a point of fact, you did request a refund, let me quote you:

but your business operations and ethic are both unacceptable.

You find them unacceptable, I understand.  We will cut ties and move on and you no longer have to deal with the unacceptable (to you) business nature.  We do not want to force you into a position where you are must deal with an unacceptable situation, so we are removing that roadblock from your happiness.  I'm done here, your refund will be processed by COB tomorrow.

I think you're misunderstanding my logic. Take Apple Computer for example. A company that produces an admittedly good product, but not in the most ethical way. I am open about how they shouldn't employ FoxConn for their assembly etc, but they do it anyway, and I live with it.

My intentions are not to anger anyone, or disrupt my business relationship with BFL. I just want to promote honesty, and discourage the opposite.

Give me truth and I'll give you peace. Most people think that's simple enough.

Hahaha... post with the wrong sock puppet account there, sport?  Epic!

*EDIT* - For those of you who may have missed it, Garr just accidentally posted with his Werner account and then deleted the post and reposted with Garr when he realized he screwed up.

Yes, truth indeed.  Truly epic.

(http://communityhosting.net/ih/images/garrada.jpg) - got a nice screen shot of it, as well Smiley

Duly noted Garr and I understand your concerns.  I will get your refund processed first thing tomorrow when I get into the office.

689  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 19, 2013, 07:24:39 AM

The order was a Jalapeno initially. I paid to upgrade it to a 60gh/s SC Single, and BFL confirmed that I would not lose my place in line.

The bit-pay guys know the number BFL's database started at, and it was with my order. I placed it within ten seconds of BFL opening the forms, and nobody on the forums claimed a previous preorder until BFL started lying about it. I'm not going to be easily convinced that over 50 people placed orders via paypal exclusively in those ten seconds.

BFL: What's your excuse for this one?

Calm the fck down,

The reason why there are orders b4 you was the last FPGA orders were allowed to convert to ASICs. They've automatically become the first ones in line.

For new orders, its true that you're the first.

Nemesis is correct. There are a number of orders that are before the first Bitpay order, dating back well before #1600.  Garr, you can officially piss off at this point and take your accusations and stick them straight up your ass.  I tried to be nice and I wanted to help you and you give me all sorts of shit and accusations.  This is why we no longer give a shit about this forum;  Everyone here is monumental assholes, no matter how accommodating one tries to be.  Garr, you'll get your order when it comes up in the queue, I'm done looking into your problems or trying to help you.

Any idea who sent you that info?  I'm not sure why they would have said that... but it may have been during the transition from our old system to our new system. This is why it's hard to hire temp employees.

Orders start before 1600.

And the deflection continues unabated by the master baiter, Phinnaeus Gage.
695  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Phinnaeus Gage scammer tag request on: June 17, 2013, 08:21:18 PM
WTF! Who am I hurting in the process while I'm amassing all this attention for myself?

I'm sure Josh Wepman is real pleased with you for starters.

Yep, you sure baited me.  You are a mastermind, that's for sure!  heh.  Just glad that I'm able to do my part to expose what a worthless piece of shit you are.

The whole point of this thread is to show what a joke your accusations are when they are turned around on you.  You make the same accusations against BFL, yet when they apply to you the sky is suddenly falling.  I've accomplished the whole point of this thread.  You are a hypocrite, liar, untrustworthy and dishonest, all exemplified beautifully in this  one tidy thread. Yep, you are a master baiter, for sure!

We currently Pay-per-share (PPS) with a fee of 3%, a transaction fee of 0 BTC per transaction and use Last N Shares (1/2 Difficulty) round scoring to ensure payout of your hard work.

From your front page.  This statement doesn't even make sense.  You either are or are not a PPS pool.  If you are using Last N shares, you're a PPLNS pool, which is very, very different from a PPS pool.  If you are doing PPLNS, charging a fee is a rip.  If you are a PPS fool, 3% fee is fair.

697  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Phinnaeus Gage scammer tag request on: June 17, 2013, 07:17:18 PM
Nice attempt as deflecting people away from the fact that you blatantly stated you would not honor a commitment you made.  No one cares about your red herrings or how piss poor of a decision maker you are or that you lost $100k out of your own stupidity.

This thread is about how you are trying to weasel out of your commitment to donate $200 once certain conditions were met, which they have been.  If you want to setup a fund, by all means, please do so... I don't care. It's not about the $200, it's about the fact that you're a dishonest person at your core and you provide nothing positive to the bitcoin community.  You are a parasite and an attention whore; the only thing that matters to you is how much attention you get, not what effects your attention seeking have on your victims.

You even prove my point in this post: You wouldn't want to delete a post because it would lower your post count and someone would pass you by!  Yep, that's an important reason to have a high post count.  It's all about attention for you, I understand that.  It doesn't matter who you hurt in the process, so long as you get the attention, right?

well actually what he has done doesn't warrant a scammer tag, since technically he didn't scam you. Did he fail on his promise? Yes. Did he scam you? No

Any promises of a donation made on the internet should be taken as a promise from a drunk friend.

I'm not disagreeing with you.  I'm just proving a point.
698  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: June 17, 2013, 07:15:47 PM
True enough.  At $100 per coin, at $0.15/kw hour, a Single SC will bring in $67.07 per month after power costs at difficulty 900 million.

At a 10x increase in hashing power, or ~280 TH, it would bring in $565 per month roughly, after power costs.  At $10 per coin, it's still bringing in $56 a month.

BFL doesn't price their products in BTC, they are sold for USD, so any factoring and figuring you do is in USD and then feel free to convert from there.
699  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: June 17, 2013, 07:05:44 PM
Butterflylabs is and has been a scam. No one listened to me 3 months ago...

That's because then, just as now, you have no idea what you're talking about.  Why do you think people would listen to someone who is a nutcase?
