6801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks do not control my bitcoins - Zimbabwe News! on: November 14, 2019, 08:22:25 AM
Not only Zimbabwe there are many more countries going through the sam problem. Surely Bitcoin means freedom from centralized control and Banks.

But, I do not understand how are you relating Bitcoin to financial freedom. As per my understanding you have to convert Bitcoin to fiat, you are still depending on Fiat.

It is a crisis situation out there, do not make a mockery of it. They need Fiat to survive, hospitals and food store there do not accept Bitcoin but Fiat.
6802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Abu Dhabi T10 League 2019 on: November 14, 2019, 02:59:11 AM
Excited about this T-10 format. Never saw any of these matches before which is why this will be an interesting watch for me. Wonder why the BCCI is restricting Indian players from taking part in this league though. Good stuff op.

In my country, I can say there is no interest in Cricket sports. Therefore, it is very difficult to find a live broadcast about this sport. Is there any way to watch these matches without being bound to any legal limits?
You could probably subscribe to sports channels like Star Sports etc where these matches can be viewed live. Apps like Hotstar also are useful here. You could always watch the highlights through Youtube etc.

BCCI only allows it's player to play in tournaments, where they have a financial benefits or motive. If this tournament is a success, I am sure they will replicate in Indian and start another league.

Hotstar is the best option to watch cricket matches, almost all major cricket tournaments are streamed on that platform. It is also cheap as compared to others.
6803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Went Crazy On 12/11/2019 ! on: November 13, 2019, 04:41:20 PM
Bitcoin is known for its volatility. There nothing crazy about it. Historically Bitcoin has been more volatile than what it did on Nov 12th. If you go back and check the price of Bitcoin for the last two years, it has outperformed.

The current price of Bitcoin is $8800. If you. Heck the price in the last two years it was:

2018 12th of Nov - $6371
2017 12th of Nov - $5950.

There is an increase of  $2850 if I consider the price of 2017. Therefore everything is going in the right direction. Stay positive..
6804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: November 13, 2019, 04:24:34 PM
Never believe on those studies, they are done either to create FUD and sometimes FOMO. The situation is far grim than what we hear or read in those articles. Until regulation are passes assume what I am assuming.

After the 2017 Bitcoin price hike, things have change a lot. You never know who is opposing and who is supporting Bitcoin. Take the example of China suddenly they are not against Bitcoin

Something is not correct...
6805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the not-so-known ways to generate crypto? on: November 13, 2019, 04:06:03 PM
Ok, so almost everything has been mentioned in the above comments. But, recently I discovered another way and that is forum discussions to earn free crypto. There are few platforms that pay you in crptos for taking part actively on their forums. You can check Stake forum for that.

6807  Economy / Gambling / Re: CRYPTOBO – Binary Options No Deposit Crypto Bonus - Real 10,000 Satoshi on: November 13, 2019, 11:40:11 AM
I had tried it once and got frustrated after some time. Whatever you do it does the opposite. I hate such games, they are simply waste of time. There are better options available in the market.
6808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling platform 2019? on: November 11, 2019, 11:40:34 PM
I have been active on these two websites. In my opinion, they have different varieties of games. They have been in this industry for more than two years and have a good reputation. For me, 777coin.com and Stake.com are the best Bitcoin casinos. You can go ahead and check them yourself.
6809  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamblr - Play the most exciting online casino games for FUN and PROFIT! on: November 11, 2019, 11:27:21 PM
I am very impressed by the unique design and background music of your website. The music part thankfully can be stopped. Please purchase copper membership, if you want to establish confidence with the community and it will also help you to add images to the intro, which will be an added benefit. I use wanted to connect with TRON but sadly the feature is not active. I hope other cryptocurrencies get activated soon.

6811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: House edge in poker-like games on: November 10, 2019, 04:13:55 PM
Here's the the relevant part from another topic, which seems to be worthy of its own dedicated thread:

On the other hand, when you are playing against other folks (as in poker), the house edge becomes kinda irrelevant because it is the same for all other players as well, but you win not by taking the casino's money but the money of other players. And that's the true beauty of it
I haven't ever played poker. But I think when you play poker, there is still some profit go to house.
For example if a user lose 100$, you won't win 100$, you will win lower than that as 1$ (for example) goes to house.

I wouldn't call that a house edge

Edge means an advantage, in this case the advantage of the casino before the player. But since casino is not playing in poker (unless you are playing against the house, of course, and not the other human players), you can't consider this percentage taken from your winnings a house edge even if it does go to the house. I would suggest to think of it as a fee, a playing fee of sorts. Most importantly, it doesn't take anything from the advantage you may (or may not) have over the other players

I understand you and  I agree that poker can be more fun because users are playing against each other.
But whatever we call that, fee, commision or edge, that is decreasing your chance

But that has nothing to do with your chances

And that's exactly why we can't call it a house edge as a house edge is supposed to do just that, i.e. make the game unfair (let's call it provably unfair). Look, you get an advantage over your opponent though skill or pure luck, and this advantage allows you to win. You are playing against the other player(s), not the casino. So however small your advantage might be (like 0.001%), you still win all and then the casino takes its fee (like 1% or whatever)

Put differently, this kind of house edge affects all the players in equal degree, with the meaning being that everyone is treated equally. You either win and then the other players lose, or vice versa. Therefore, it can't possibly affect your chances to win like it does in dice. It is 50/50 in terms of winning or losing for two players before the cards have been dealt (if we discard the ramifications of skill and expertise from the equation)

Online poker is a myth furthermore Bitcoin casino poker is a bluff. Poker is a skill and behavior-based game, without the partner being physically present it is hard to call it poker. I do not believe in them and that is why I avoid playing online.
6812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket 🏏 Mutual betting discussion and active betting pools 🏆 on: November 10, 2019, 04:08:17 PM
Regarding the India Bangladesh match betting, Royse has put the highest bet on Bangladesh 0.0015 if i remember it correctly and remember today is his lucky day as he already won the England Bet.  Wink

Looking at the current scenario it is highly unlikely that Bangladesh will win. Once a lucky cannot be twice a lucky. I haven't bet on this game but, I have been following this thread closely.
6813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best time for promoting bounty projects on: November 10, 2019, 05:23:17 AM
Except Subscription based bounties, which are always signature bounties like mine all Bounty projects are waste of time. Either you do not get paid or get paid peanuts.
The next time when Bitcoin again reaches to a new all time high, that would be the right time to join a Bounty project, untill then you have to wait.
6814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think bounty participate in this year 2019? on: November 10, 2019, 05:05:42 AM
It is a waste of time working on Bounty projects now days. Most of them are scams. 2017 and 18 were the good old days, joining a Bounty project was beneficial. Nowadays it is only the signature campaign that are paying. I would not recommend any other bounty.
6815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Interview: Discussing Updates, Exchange Listings, and Future Plans With on: November 10, 2019, 05:00:21 AM
Doge coin have one practical usebility, they are fast and cheap for transferring money. It is good to hear that the developers are still working on the project. Recently I have seen many Bitcoin casinos accepting Doge coins, which is a good sign.

No one minds loosing 1000 doge 😀😜
6816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 10, 2019, 04:33:21 AM
Today we have a T20 match between west indies women vs india women, there any chance west indies women team are going to best India women team, I know India women team is already won the odi series, and they have best side to win the match. But west indies women can take revenge for odi series los?

We also have the final T20 match between India and Bangladesh. India are the favourite to win this T20 series. Time 8:30 am EST and 7:00pm IST.

Odds might be in India's favour but last time India's batting display saved them. They really have gotten worse in fielding and bowling (which can be understable since they are trying out young players in bowling as well). With that in mind, I think both of them have a good chances of winning the match today.

You guys also forgot NZ vs ENG last T-20 which is ongoing right now but is having a rain delay. Series is tied 2-2

India always had a good batting line-up. The pain area was always bowling. I still do not understand, with a country so big population wise, why there is a struggle to find good bowlers?
Fielding has been pathetic latelly. They have to gear up on the field and she'd that laid back attitude.
6817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CEO of Twitter held a Bitcoin Meetup! on: November 10, 2019, 03:25:55 AM
He is first a business man and what does a business man do? He searches for good investment opportunities. I am sure he is looking for other possibilities, something to do with his own cryptocurrency like what Facebook did and now struggling to implement it 😀
6818  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Could Make Bitcoin Drop To $5? on: November 10, 2019, 03:14:02 AM
I was just wondering if it is possible. What event or series of events could crash the price of Bitcoin to $5? What will you do if that happens?

It is next to impossible for Bitcoin to reach that price level 😄😜

Still you cannot predict in crypto world what's going to happen next. If it happens, it will only happens when all the banks join hands and create a super bug to destroy the algorithm of Bitcoin 😀
6819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've come full circle, BTC is the only worthwhile cryptocurrency on: November 10, 2019, 02:45:12 AM
After 4+ years in the space and countless hours of research, it is becoming increasingly apparent that BTC is the only worthwhile project.

All your points are valid and I'm happy to see that there are users who understand the fundamentals of cryptocurrency instead of parroting the narratives created by altcoins' marketing teams.

I think that there are 2 kinds of altcoins that currently have some uses and as the result hold some value. The first type is privacy coins - Bitcoin's privacy is pretty bad, and the most common solution to it - mixers, requires some trust. If Bitcoin will solve privacy, privacycoins will become obsolete.

The second kind is coins with relatively good security and adoption. They can be used as a plan B when Bitcoin's fees temporarily skyrocket. They can be used for small transactions or for moving value between services to save on fees. But again, when Bitcoin will solve scalability, these coins will become useless too.

In a way you are correct but, not all Altcoins are bad. The supreme cryptocurrency is Bitcoin, there is no doubt about it. But, you cannot ignore altcoins like Ethereum and exchange coins like BNB. You will need them as long as they have a platform which needs them. You cannot ignore these Altcoins .
6820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fidelity news! on: November 10, 2019, 02:18:07 AM
Fidelity Digital Asset Services has announced the full launch of its cryptocurrency custodial and trading services for qualified investors.

So, maybe it is the sign that after some time we will see some growth?

I do not know How much tries is this information?
