5901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I stake Eos on a mobile phone? on: February 29, 2020, 02:46:47 PM
You can stake EOS on Kucoin exchange if that's what you are looking for. You need to download Kucoin app for Android and login. Then you need to either purchase EOS and Hold it on Kucoin exchange wallet for EOS. You need to hold it for a period of 30 days in order for you earn rewards. The percentage you earn is 0.7% which as per me is very less as compared to others available there.
5902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 29, 2020, 02:07:24 PM
Australia started really well taking the wickets from the start but South Africa is recovering as Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller are putting up a good partnership for the 5th wicket and they are doing that at a good pace, i went for a bet for Australia to win the match and hopefully i will not loose this one as i already lost on in the T20 where South Africa restricted Australia in the second match which was unexpected.

Australian team is in form and probability of them winning this match is very good. South African team has recovered from the early downfall. I expect them to easily score 250 and above. This match will have close finish I think.
5903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 29, 2020, 08:59:48 AM
BCCI will only organise an event for women cricket when they think it will generate good revenue. They are not discriminating women from men. There is simply no demand for such league at the moment and very less crowd presence whenever women cricket is being played.

India is a male dominated society, at least when compared to other nations such as England and Australia. In both England and Australia, the women's teams have a large fan base (almost entirely made up of females) and this is missing in India. Not many of the Indian women are interested in watching sports and even here in this thread, I have seen only one female user (Sithara).

It is not only India but the whole of South East Asia has a male centric society. Women in these countries hardly watch cricket or any other sports as compared to women in Australia or England. More participation is required by the women themselves. Things have changed a lot in other sports like badminton and tennis in India but not in cricket.
5904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 29, 2020, 08:52:33 AM
What's happening to Kohli? He has been consistently scoring single number in this test series. All hopes are now with Pujara, he should stick to the wicket and play till the end.
Virat Kohli is struggling in this series and the challenge is how he is going to break the situation and return back to form identifying his weakness but what i see is the way in which the bowlers are planning to pick his wicket before getting set, in this match Southee was bowling out swingers outside off stump line and then he bowled the exact same line but then the ball swinged in and he was trapped in front.

When India was batting it was a bowling pitch and now it looks like a batting pitch as the New Zealand players are playing well and reached 63 runs without loosing a wicket Grin.

I have zero expectations from the Indian team now. They are struggling in all sides of the game. Niether they are batting well nor balling. If this continues then Indian team will be in big trouble.

After this IPL starts, expecting the stugglers to perfom there. I hope Kohli works on his issues fast.
5905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A book on Bitcoin in Bengali on: February 29, 2020, 06:52:03 AM
A good initiative for bengali community who are able to read  about Bitcoin in their native language. It is just the beginning many more to come I guess. If this book is a success then I am sure it will be translated to other regional languages.
5906  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What wallet do you prefer? on: February 29, 2020, 06:28:13 AM
For security, ease of use, durability over time, there are several wallets available:

- Types of wallets

  • Paper wallet
  • Web wallet
  • Mobile wallet
  • Desktop wallet
  • Hardware wallet

A wallet secures your coins.

The exchange is not safe, your coins are in danger, "if you don't have your keys, you don't have your bitcoins", don't trust exchanges.

If you think the exchanges are safe, I invite you to visit this thread to convince you otherwise > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5090869.0

Never download software or updates on third-party pages.

Some of the most recognized wallets:

- Desktop

  • Bitcoin Core
  • Electrum
  • Wasabi

- Hardware

  • Trezor
  • Ledger
  • KeepKey
  • Coldcard

- Mobile

  • Mycelium
  • Electrum

My favorite wallet, is the Bitcoin Core desktop wallet, is very easy to use and at the same time, allows you to maintain a Full Node to contribute to the Bitcoin network, in my case it works 24/7 and also because I consider it very safe.
I do not rule out buying a hardware wallet one day, but for the moment not, maybe with the answers of this thread someone manages to convince me, we will see...

>>> Go ahead, what is your favorite wallet and why?

I store my assets on my android tablet. I prefer using it than my mobile. For Bitcoin I have been using Mycelium wallet for a long time now and for other cryptocurrencies I prefer using Atomic wallet.

For Ethereum based token I prefer using Metamask. Earlier I was using MEW but the new design and layout is complicated for me.
5907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi joins Quantum Generation on: February 29, 2020, 06:20:35 AM
Another scam in the making in India.

Poor actor without even knowing about the project has got his name added to it. I sometimes pity these celebrities, who are struggling to get their careers rolling again and for few bucks the entangled themselves into scams and later crib for their actions.
5908  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Charts Are Garbage on: February 29, 2020, 06:07:33 AM
Anyone sick and tired of articles citing charts? I’ve been in stocks for 10 years and I know how to read them. Bitcoin/crypto isn’t candle based.
Technical analysis don't give you 100% assurance on price movement because crypto prices are highly volatile and often goes with manipulation by whales so it will not follow the price charts always but when the market is in sideway for too long then your TA can help you to make more profits.

Crypto price prediction never works. Bull market or bear market strategy do not work. It only helps to minimize your losses. I personally do not consider them 100 percent viable way to analyse the market. You need to consider other aspects such as news.
5909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Flash loans how? How Short and Simple? on: February 29, 2020, 06:01:03 AM
Even in bitcointalk, you cant get a non-colateral loan if you have a low rank/reputation. You must have some reputation at here + high rank to get no collateral loans, of course, each rank/reputation have some limit to take the amount of the loan.

This is something new for me I never knew you can get a collateral free loan on BTT depending on the rank and reputation of a member. I thought all loans are collateral based and the rates are also on the higher side.

Hi Everyone!

I've used a lot of crypto exchanges over the last 8 years or so. I wanted to share my top 7 exchanges going into 2020.

I would love to hear what everyone here thinks and see if I'm missing any exchange from my list.

Check it out and let me know.

The Top 7 Cryptocurrency Exchanges in 2020

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Out of those 7 you have listed I am using five. In general all of them are very reputated to and reliable exchanges. I have not heard or read anything negative about these exchanges. The only issue with them is the service charge, they are on the higher side. Especially Binance and Kucoin.

Entertaining inning of Shaw came to end. He knocked out every kiwis in his short 54 runs inning, Hitting six on bouncer against Wagner was treat to watch, finally it was worth waking up early today.

Now stage is set for Kohli, 80+ runs on board and ball is 20+ overs old. Perfect timing for him to get his hands dirty, even Pujara rotating strikes better.

Lunch Break---Green pitch, 5 seamers and score is 85/2. i would take that as a win.

Edit : Shiiiit pressure back on lol, kohli gone.

Edit : 4th wicket down (Rahane) losing a track now...

Good news for both India and Pakistani fans. Asia cup will happen and both these team will play at a neutral venue, which of course is Dubai. I expected this to happen after Sourav Ganguly took the chair of BCCI president.

5914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help! Is this scam or not? on: February 28, 2020, 04:13:59 PM
Airdrop means free tokens worth either $2 or a max $10. If you are being asked to transfer Ethereum in order to avail the airdrop then it is 100 percent scam.

Airdrop are meant to engage or create community regardless of their Fiat value. No one will ask you to pay first to get $2 or $10;worth of tokens.
5915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: **Best POW/POS newcomer coin in 2020** on: February 28, 2020, 04:05:48 PM
I am an old school guy and I won't be interested to venture into something new. I first of all do not believe in coins that are less than a year old. My personal favourite is Neo and Decred. Read  an interesting article about the Best staking coins while searching few new one and added Tezos to my kitty.
5916  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A new virus is attacking Google 2FA app on: February 28, 2020, 03:51:18 PM
It seems 2FA authentification is not totally safe anymore.

A new malware called Cerberus now targets Android-based smartphones by stealing passwords provided by the Google Authenticator app, a new cyber-security report by ThreatFabric states.

As reported by the research group, Cerberus can do something that very few other Trojans are able to – mess with the Google Authenticator app and steal its one-time codes which are often used to secure access to Bitcoin wallets or accounts on digital exchanges.

Until now, this Google app was believed to be the best protection, much more efficient than SMS-based security codes.

https://www.threatfabric.com/blogs/2020_year_of_the_rat.html

If this true! Which I doubt, then user using Google authenticator are no more safe now. I personally use it for all my crypto transactions.

I have heard a lot about Authy as an alternative to google authenticator but never tried it. It is better to wait for an official announcement from Google before coming into any conclusions.
5917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities advertise scam ICO again on: February 28, 2020, 10:59:50 AM
SEC fined Steven Seagal for advertising ICO. The actor did not disclose information about the funds received for the promotion of the project, which could mislead investors, the Commission explained.

Since the ICO, the price of the Bitcoiin2Gen token advertised by Segal has fallen by 99%.

do you think celebrities know that they advertise scam projects or they just don’t understand what they are doing? I think this is a big problem for the market

Money makes people do shit things the same happened with him.

He did not know anything about this ICO still went ahead and advertised it. Now he has to repay most of what he earned I guess.

Conclusion, Everything that glitter is not always gold.  Grin Grin
5918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with the Kick token and it's 888888 Frozendrop? on: February 28, 2020, 10:55:03 AM
Therefore why they are giving some frozen 6 digits token to most of the crypto supporter!?
They deliberately gave 888,888 tokens which were locked to many ETH addresses, as a step to promote the platform to be launched, and in the future they will be unlocked if you can complete the mission they gave

They have also spammed by wallets and god knows how many more wallets they will spam in the future. They are simply manipulating with our minds. I do not know what to do with these tokens and now I care a damm.

It is better to forget about them.
5919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 28, 2020, 08:53:46 AM
@JSRAW: Yeah, NZ has been able to defeat India earlier as well in Christchurch and plus we will miss Sharma who is out because of his injury and Yadav replaces him.

Quote
"We are not bothered about another loss but we are not going to take a backward step, that's for sure," captain Virat Kohli had said after India suffered their first defeat, a resounding one, in the World Test Championship in Wellington.

Don't like him when he makes such statements. Why talking about losing before playing the match? He's like sure he's going to lose another one and doesn't trust his team now.

I know the outcome of the next test match will be the same as it was for the previous one. I have lost all hopes and I will skip this test match. I do not know what is wrong with the Indian team?

The captain and the manager need to rethink their strategy as things need to change for good.
5920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 28, 2020, 08:49:42 AM
India has performed well till now, but the women's team in India doesn't enjoy the level of glamour and glitz that is associated with the men's sport. The BCCI is yet to organize a franchise league for the women players, while their counterparts in Australia and England have Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) and Women's Cricket Super League respectively.

Sure the Women cricketers are not getting the same recognition like the male counterparts and that is the case with other sports , only male cricketers does have fans and the money value, if you check out Mithali Raj who is a sort of legendary female cricketer with a average above 50 and i am sure many have no idea who she is.
India is playing well and they could win the tournament as they are bowling really well and Poonam Yadav and Shikha Pandey are the leading wicket takers in the tournament so far and they have won close games with their bowling.
This is not only happening in India its also case of many developed countries as women have not enough things like men becasue its male dominent society so they are still fighting for good break through in sports just indivual sports ladies have some better name but in team events its not easy for them.

BCCI will only organise an event for women cricket when they think it will generate good revenue. They are not discriminating women from men. There is simply no demand for such league at the moment and very less crowd presence whenever women cricket is being played.

@pakhitheboss was there a demand for IPL before it started no, but when it started it was promoted and it suddenly became a hit among the masses hence I feel that BCCI should start a similar league for women’s and then promote it like they promote IPL. @clement kaliyar I’ll agree with you as I remember talking about Mithali to my Indian friends, and they were like who is she and they were surprised to know that India has a women’s team too?.

IPL started because of T20 worldcup as it was a huge success and India won the world cup. Naturally BCCI cashed in the craze and excitement of T20. I do not see the same happening in Women cricket. There is very less viewership and not many broadcasters are interested. I agree things need to change but change need money and big sponsorships. Untill that happens I do not foresee a woman IPL in the making.
