6861  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market will be recovery current year 2019? on: March 31, 2019, 05:31:42 PM
So far, no sign that indicates about of what you're telling OP.
The market is still in bearish trend but at least it's not in the bottom anymore which is the hardest part for most traders.
Maybe it would start to recover with these remaining months of the year but if not, then we will have to wait for the halving effect in 2020.

At least we didn't go below our previous all-time-high. There are speculators saying that we need to see final capitulation before the eventual recovery. But it seems it's not going to happen as the price is going to a steady climb.

Very slow though, but at least we are above $3k now and could potential reach $5k in the next coming months if new investors are going to get it in. So let's be positive and hope that the bearish trend will be finally over.
6862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) platforms on: March 31, 2019, 04:05:41 PM
I still cannot understand why IEOs are getting such level of hype? There are tons of threads on this forum, where people are blaming big exchanges, because it is impossible to take part in such token sales.

It's because (1) this is a safe haven for investors, how many times have we heard a project becoming a scam and running away with investors money. This will solved that problem because exchanges are now the one running the project. (2) It's impossible to take part because the token is sold very quick, as investors are really in the front row.

I will assume that in the future, those IEO will open more doors for casual investors like us.
6863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not about ''get rich fast'' !! on: March 31, 2019, 12:18:00 PM
I am sick of new people who are here only for bitcoin price, only for gains and still talking about price ... Everywhere i see like bitcoin will go to 100,000 USD or 1,000,000 USD, they only want to get rich fast but bitcoin is not about it ... Bitcoin is about freedom and privacy . I see us as some kind of warriors against governments and central banking cartels, we are here to claim our rights and freedom back! We are here to create powerful tools that give more power to individual against governments ! We are here to change our monetary system ! Every government basically corrupt, they dont care about other people, i think every politician should be representative of his voters , but i feel its like we are serfs ! Think about it ...

I totally agree with your sentiments, and this is why Satoshi build bitcoin in the first place.

However, when bitcoin started from $0.01 to $100 then it became an assets, an investment to the majority that's why everyone is really talking about the price, and some about the technology behind.
6864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real exchange volume vs cmc data on: March 30, 2019, 05:03:55 PM
it turns out the gap is too far, i didn't realize it all this time.
i think what is in CMC is the real truth and i believe in them.

if this continues many people will lose confidence in CMC.

After all these years we now see the real picture and it looks bad for coinmarketcap, we have been deceived for so many years, it's time for them to give us real-time statistics and or else many investors will just look for another market cap in the market.

They have been called out as far as I can remember in 2017 wherein they willing to accept ponzi or scam advertisements. That alone already speaks what their reputation is all about. And then follow by the fake volumes.

We don't know if they deliberately do it to mislead investors but it's all speculation. I guess they really need to straighten things out and let the public know.
6865  Other / Off-topic / Re: Look after your Body! Using a computer all day is likely destroying you. on: March 30, 2019, 04:57:38 PM
Challenge accepted. Cool
I have a friend who does that. He is in pretty good shape from it.

Adjustable desk just makes so much sense. Good shout thanks

Good. Let's see how it does for you mate. I'm sure there will be pain in the beginning but if you can go through your usual day I'm sure you gonna enjoy it.

FYI though, I started with just 90 push-up. I can't do per day, I skip one day as rest day then do the same the next. So it's like 3x a week, not bad for starters. So it's 15 x 6 = 90 on 3/11, then 15 x 7 = 105 on 3/13 and so one and so forth. So there's a progression on my routine.

Currently, I can do 20 x 9 = 180 push ups already.  Grin recorded on 3/27. My schedule should be today to hit 200 (20 x 10), unfortunately, I did some variations on 3/28, push up concentrating on my biceps since this is the lagging part (since standard push up targeted mostly the chest, shoulder and triceps), but damn it was so hard that I'm still sore up to this day.
6866  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bithumb Hacked on: March 30, 2019, 04:46:31 PM
Isn't this the second time this exchange get hacked? Regardless of how it was done and how big the amount was, I think that hacks will continue until we understand that the solution is to start using decentralized exchanges where users have full control over their private keys.

Exactly, the first hacked happened around June 2018 if I'm not mistaken.

Here is a good link to see the hackers wallet intricate movement of coins.

https://www.ccn.com/newsflash-bithumb-hacked-again-13-million-in-eos-20-million-xrp-on-the-move

But how can you prevent something this to happened if it's an inside job? Unless they really audit and investigate the people they are going to hire, specially handling those sensitive or data.
6867  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀✨[Rocket.Run] THERE WAS NO SUCH GAME, UNTIL NOW. JOIN THE THRILL. ✨🚀 on: March 30, 2019, 04:37:22 PM
$374 from referral is not a small amount, especially in such three week period.
How many guys played on Rocket.run via that guy's ref code?
And, how much money they used to play on the site's games?

Damn, indeed this is a huge amount to earn as an affiliate. I'm not familiar with him, is he a bitcoiner here in our forum?

So it's very interesting, what method this guy uses to attract his fellow gamblers to sign under him. Obviously, I did sign under his ref code, but this guy is a pure genius.  Grin
6868  Economy / Economics / Re: Citi Has Scrapped Its Plan for a JPM Coin-Like Bank-Backed Cryptocurrency on: March 30, 2019, 04:28:18 PM
Just another click-bait article.

Anyways, as majority have said, this so called planned of CITI has nothing to do with crypto currency whatsoever. This so called coins will be for their own used, within their ecosystem.

But you have to admire those banks though, they really need to update and re-invent themselves because most of their systems are already old and obsolete. And now trying to take advantage of the latest technology - blockchain.
6869  Other / Off-topic / Re: Look after your Body! Using a computer all day is likely destroying you. on: March 30, 2019, 07:42:10 AM
I plan on getting a standing desk for sure. Good to switch it up.
Ah the fabled gym. I must go one day   Wink
For real though, I'm looking forward to when I do. Exercise is so good for stress anxiety and depression.
Body likes to move. Staying static/stationary for long periods is terrible.

[.. snip ..]

Yes mate you should try the standing and adjustable desk, I'm sure you gonna love it.

Not too late for you to go to the gym, actually if you don't like to, you can still exercise your body. Can do bodyweight training exercises, like push up, try the 100 a day a month challenge and see how it goes for you. If you can't then just do 10 and progress and eventually you can hit 100 in a day. It doesn't mean you will go and do 100 in just one push up session. Try 10 x 10 method as long as you can hit 100 (or whatever goals you set), you will be fine.
6870  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin remain above $4000 this time around? on: March 30, 2019, 07:34:20 AM
As everyone predicted yes, the value will start travelling from $4k to $5k this month. Yes, today BTC value will get pumped as May begin. Hence, just buy as much as possible now. Invest in BTC and ETH. If you have enough investment, go for BTC.  If you have more investment, better buy bitcoin alone and hold for a long time.

You cannot say for sure that BTC will jump from $4k to $5k within this month.
Only 2 days left for this month to end, only a miracle can push BTC price to $5k imo. My fingers are crossed.  Roll Eyes

I read a BTC technical analysis yesterday, where it said if BTC hits $4.400 by the next week then its a plus otherwise it will fall back near to $3.400.

As of tonight, BTC looks strong at $4k.

Obviously, it will go in either direction. But the main thing is that most of us is involving our emotions and sentiments and wanted to see the price goes to the next level, but we can't really tell because the market is very volatile.

The price touches $4100 today, but still, there's no indication that it can be sustained.

"Soon we are introducing blockchain "

Might be they are inspired by Long Island Iced Tea Corp which started their foot in blockchain business and in the end they quit their tea business.

Ride on the wave of blockchain even when you do not need it.

blockchain is just one of the new updates in our software, learn more about us https://getvegetable.com/pages/about_us

Lol, I look at your about us page, it doesn't mentioned anything about blockchain whatsoever, except for integrating UPS, which I think most companies do without "blockchain".

It looks like you just complicated things in your end though. A centralised database will do, little maintenance and very cost effective.
6872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 30, 2019, 06:56:29 AM
Anyone seen the Warriors vs Wolves game? A lot of controversial calls in that game. Well, first off, Curry led the team from 9 point down in the last 1.5 minutes hitting threes. But prior to that with 5.8 seconds left, Durant hit a three and get fouled. I thought it was going to be a four point play and give the Warriors the lead by it's waved by the referee, to my surprised. Then Curry buries a three to tie the game with 0.5 seconds. The only possible way to score at this point for the Wolves is to lobe a pass to KAT, it was long. However, the referee called a crucial foul on Durant for pushing KAT, very controversial. KAT made 1 out of 2. Giving the Wolves 131-130 win. What are you thoughts? Is it a right call?

I don't know. Maybe it's the referee's way of getting back at Curry taunting one of them after he made a three in 0.5 seconds. Although the ref didn't see it because he has his back on Curry, but the other two might witnessed, that's why the controversial call.

I have to take a review because I don't know if that is the same referee that he taunts that made that call. I still remember though Duncan, he was ejected, by just laughing in the bench.  Grin
6873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Laser-etching a Cold Storage Coin on: March 30, 2019, 06:51:28 AM
Great development indeed but I can see the video was made in 2017 and this method would have been in existence for some while now but not commonly known. I believe it’s going to be cost effective which might not make majority of people to be interested in it.

Correct, so this method might be in existence for some time now. Maybe it was not well known or not being supported because we are in a bear market and many has exited in 2018.

It's quite cheap so I don't know why people will not be interested though. At least you have alternatives and we here in crypto have been talking on how to make our private keys secure in every way and this one might do the job.
6874  Other / Off-topic / Re: Louis Thomas impersonator trying to SCAM the CMA! on: March 29, 2019, 07:23:23 PM
Hey, thanks for giving the community a fair warning. There are a lot of scammers and trying to take advantage of everyone, including impersonation.

I'm still thinking though if this is the appropriate board as members do seldom visit this board.
6875  Economy / Economics / Re: South Africa, leading world in crypto adoption, a high-potential crypto market? on: March 29, 2019, 07:16:36 PM
Really, I didn’t thought South Africa will be no1 in position of holding crypto.I thought it was america. This is surprising for Because I didn’t thought they are so much advanced in cryptocurrency. But This is really good for them.South country’s will surely be benefitted from crypto  currency. And We'll see many development in south africa through crypto currency.

Maybe the report is not accurate and didn't get their facts straight. I still think that US is still the number HODLer of cryptos.

If crypto currencies will be made mainstream and all fiat will be disregard, the country of Africa will boom in a fast momentum. But if the market fails, I mean all currencies will be zero value, even my mind can't picture what could happen to Africa seeing it's current economic situation. They a poor country and will be even poorer if things go wrong, they are making an imaginable gamble here.

I disagree, what they need is the right government, not corrupt, is this possible in Africa? Debatable I would say. So I don't think that they will boom just like that. If takes hundreds of years to fully consume their natural resources and make them poor, and I'm sure it will take years as well to grow.
6876  Economy / Speculation / Re: Many cryptocurrency players have gone bankrupt on: March 29, 2019, 07:04:43 PM
Some of them are blinded by their greediness and because they want to just make money, before you know it they start complaining they have gone bankrupt. That is why you should check out the crew that are running any exchange to know if they are professionals.

To say the list again is that, many investors put everything they have on one coin expecting that a miracle will happen for them, they forget that you don't put everything you have in one line of business.

And they don't make research on the project too. If you don't do a research, there is no way you can know a fake project.
If you are a well experience investors, we already know when in is the right time to invest and when is the time to hold. I think that those players who have gone bankrupt surely are just new into this kind of fields and even have that enough knowledge to make their investment stable and could resist in times of market crisis. If we can make it, then we could assured that nobody would loss our money.

And when is the right time to quit and just comeback when the situation improved. I also agree that those big players didn't go bankrupt or something, they just exited on time maybe liquidated some of their crypto assets.

But I'm sure they will comeback again when they see that the market is gearing up for the next bull run. Not everyone has the mentality to stay long in any market, that's why we have FOMO, and this market is not an exception.
6877  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 95% fake volume :) on: March 29, 2019, 06:58:42 PM
Chinese exchanges were faking volume since they entered the market and there was a shitstorm where their government intervened and shut most of them down in 2014. Some moved to Hong Kong. Do you believe they simply abandoned their old tactic and played fair from that moment? There are exchanges that play fair and those that don't.

Exactly, even prior to the eventual bull-run, Chinese exchanges have been faking their volume, caught by their government, suspended and then an eventual shutdown.

There are one reports that I'm aware of saying which exchanges have been practicing wash trading. Here, https://www.blockchaintransparency.org/. So this is well-known already, and as much as we have those exchanges doing it, perhaps the best thing to do is stay away with them. And it doesn't mean that BTC itself is fraudulent though. It's just this is a free market, and everyone takes advantage of every situation they can get their hands and make money, sad but true.
6878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could be used to pay for Bills, load and for travel in the Philippines on: March 29, 2019, 06:53:37 PM
It would be nice as an option, so long as the people of the Philippines are aware of a couple things:

A. If the power goes out (with all the frequent storms), you might not be able to use your BTC.

Obviously, all of us will be affected not just the Philippines if ever there is a wild spread black out as transactions needed to used the internet.

B. The price can fluctuate wildly. When the bubble burst, many people lost the majority of their money, would hate to see that happen to people in the Philippines.

I'm sure they have that in mind, most Filipinos here have been here prior to the big boom in 2017. So they should know by now how crypto works to their advantage.

Maybe have some Bitcoin set aside in case it goes up, maybe some on the side to trade and buy things with, but don't let it completely replace other forms of cash, as it may not be the best payment option.

Have a great day,
The Cyberius team.

I don't think that Philippines will be a cashless society, I'm not seeing it in the next 5-10 years or more. They still rely on their local banks, but at least those they have more options right now and happy that the current administration is very supported of crypto-currency although coins.ph is heavily regulated (KYC/AML compliant).
6879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dragonchain VS Ethereum & Wanchain on: March 29, 2019, 06:45:47 PM

what do you thing guys?

www.dragonchain.com
Dragonchain is not a good altcoin. For me, it has disappointed me many times. I trusted it and reinvested in it 5 times. but it lost my money over 2000 $.
Their Devs team made a lot of promises and they still promise only now. I can't see their actions. I think you should consider investing in dragonchain.

ethereum was 1200 and went to 80$
neo from 160$ to 6$

most of tokens if you bought it in 2018 and hodled it means u are between 80-90% down

I am talking about buying these tokens at ATL and wait for the next bull run

Well, it makes sense, almost every solid coins out there have lost so much value. So definitely buying coins at their ATL makes sense and just wait for the next bull run and see how much profit you can make.

Anyways comparison is good, and I have nothing against those two, however, I still believed that ETH has still some space in the hearts of investors and definitely they will FOMO one the bull run started in 2020.

But if you want to go and invest on those two then go for it, there's nothing wrong putting your money in them as long as you have that mental toughness to wait for the eventual bull run.
6880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ASKING FOR KYC VERIFICATION on: March 29, 2019, 06:32:33 PM
I will repeat again, do not send your personal data to anyone except maybe a exchanges that requires it so that you can withdraw funds.

Airdrops asking for KYC is a scam for me. How the hell are they asking for KYC to just say give you $20-$50 dollars worth of token? And if you are in the right frame of mind, would you rather risk your info for that peanuts?
