Coins move to stake only when block is maturing. After that process they move back to balance. Please learn the basics... Smiley

Why would integrating a wallet feature create a hard fork? Wallet Control is not part of the algorithm of the coin. HBN was not hard forked for the wallet feature, Tranz added wallet control to newer HBN wallets. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Kergekoin?

Correct. Bitcoin 0.9 also has coin control now. From merge requests i can not see anything which would require hard forking.

Mint Coin Devs, Coin Control integration into the wallet would be a plus.

http://wiki.hobonickels.info/index.php?title=Coin_Control

I agree, that would be a very nice feature.

If no one is doing it yet, then i could integrate it when i get some free time.
Together with little testing it takes about half a day probably.

Looks like you have changed something in source code?
Nope, this source code is from ECCoin:
https://github.com/eccoin/eccoin

I did not change.

OK, ECC, MINT, GRAIN and other such clones you need to compile with QT4.8. You could use easywinbuilder script for them. They should compile just fine with it.
I managed to port to compile with QT5.2 as well, but it takes some code changes for it to work.

I agree. Price of this is real dealbreaker. 1500$ would be attractive if availability in few days.

Nice to see blades, but disapointed about the price. Those cost even more per mhs than gridseeds.

Well, things seem to be moving along nicely now, there have been a few community contributions added to the bounties since I first posted it. Here's a new breakdown of them:

Here's the outline of the graduated bounties from the Developer:

1: Basic Android Wallet for Phone and Tablets         5,000,000 Mintcoins
2: PoS Coin Minting Feature                                    3,500,000 Mintcoins
3: Battery Management Feature                               1,500,000 Mintcoins

Here's the community donations so far:

stormia donated 200,000 Mintcoins (125,000 for basic wallet 50,000 for Minting Feature 25,000 for Battery Feature)
Jeff Jefferson donated 300,000  Mintcoins (100,000 for basic wallet 150,000 for Minting Feature 50,000 for Battery Feature)

So total bounties so far are:

1: Basic Android Wallet for Phone and Tablets         5,225,000 Mintcoins
2: PoS Coin Minting Feature                                    3,700,000 Mintcoins
3: Battery Management Feature                               1,575,000 Mintcoins

Thanks for the donations so far, and thanks go out to the people that are currently working on the wallet. As more donations come in, and more news of the progress of the wallet is made, I'll post here for everyone to read.

I will still be donating the 250K Mintcoins and just go ahead and divide it how you see fit. Also I think everyone needs to be thinking towards the future in other ways such as working together on marketing strategies. I will donate towards marketing as well because along with the android wallet I believe that will give Mintcoin a huge boost

Since i belive in "what comes around, goes around" ...
I will add 1,000,000 (1 million MINT) from my  wallet to that android wallet bounty. I will personally send coins to dev after i have wallet working on my phone.

This is my thanks to dev and couple of guys who donated to me when i made mac and miniature win wallet.  Cheesy ( i have recieved 360,000 MINT total so far from dev and couple of others)

715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin *Wallet 1.7, Mandatory update! on: April 04, 2014, 06:49:46 AM
Heres final upload of 1.7 mac client.
Changes:
- icons fixed and transparent icon backround.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/pkvk45dwarh0lzs/mintcoin-v1.7.1-macosx.dmg
(upload name 1.7.1. Client still says 1.7. Nothing else is changed)

Some people are complaining that the Mac wallet doesn't work. Any feedback welcome!

Hi, v1.7 wallet seems to be work fine for me: sync, unlock, backup, transaction view. I don't have tested Transaction and Export. CPU % and memory seem to be OK. Only Mincoint icon with white backcolor (not transparent). I 'm on OSX 10.9.2  What feedback on "doesn't work" you have?

and

Kergekoin is aware though.

Hi,

I just made new image and reuploaded directly from my mac virtual machine. Earlier upload worked perfectly fine with my Maveric. I ran wallet for 45 minutes, it updated the blockchain beautifully. 8-9 connections in few minutes time and 12 connections when i closed it.
Also sent some coins in and out from my windows wallet to mac wallet. All worked fine.
Anyone having issue, should back up their wallet first, then clean first wallet from disk and afterwards install 1.7.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/mw1i7glc4v6laa1/mintcoin-v1.7-macosx.dmg

If icon doesnt show up, then i cant help you, because i have same problem recently. Hopefully mac update fixes this.
You could replace the icon just like you do with any other file.

717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin *Wallet 1.7, Mandatory update! on: April 03, 2014, 03:50:22 PM
It may be my iMac, who knows, but this latest mintcoin wallet becomes unresponsive and just says loading block index indefinitely... :/ Same thing happens with my Zeitcoin wallet :/ any ideas on how to fix? Thanks.

also - the 1.7 mac wallet has a white box around it in the dock Sad

Yes all new wallets load a little longer, but even on very slow machine they should load just fine in 20 seconds or less. It loads under 30 seconds on my virtual machine 10.9, which uses only one CPU core and has 1GB of memory.

On your second issue. If you dont like white icon backround, you can always change it to your liking. Takes few seconds.

is this official OSX client?

I have no idea about what is "official", but mintcointeam asked me to do this for them.
I also made 1.6 wallet before (see OP).
1.6 i made only from entusiasm over OSx. Im not even mac user myself. I use win8.1 daily. This 1.7 i made because i was asked.

I also compiled windows-qt myself. Made it little more compact, since i dislike useless space on my screens.
Heres my compact version of mintcoin-1.7 windows qt, if anyone desires the same:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/658eteq94h8b123/Mintcoin-1.7win.zip

There are very small changes in this wallet.
- downsized splash image
- downsized and cropped wallet image
- newer QT version (doesnt really matter)
- made it open up smaller and it can scale down some more (you can drag all windows as big or small as you like).
- 3 recent transactions on overview page instead of 6.

and a picture of how it looks:

i just updated to the new windows wallet n i copied the new mintcoin.conf file to appdata but now its not syncing and has 0 connections
anyone else having this problem also tried deleting the peers.dat and still no luck
any help would be much appreciated
anyone help please

It could be issue of your router blocking your connections port. Usually its not a case, but in rare cases it could be.
Whats in your mintcoin.conf file?
Also i am not aware if new windows wallet was compiled with or without upnp support.

Replace your mintcoin.conf file with this:

Quote
rpcuser=xxxx
rpcpassword=yyyy
rpcport=15554
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=1
listen=1
testnet=0
daemon=1

and see if you get connections.
Mine connects 5-6 within 1 minute and like 8-10 within 3 minutes.
