701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Perhaps a DoS flaw? on: August 24, 2010, 01:44:35 AM
are your sure about that? idk, never tried.
Just did it again. You can definitely send money to the same address you are sending from.
u did what again?
how do you know, which of your addresses holds exactly those coins your sending?

what does your logfile say?

guess i'm gonna load a fresh install and try myself  Grin

here's another topic about flood-attacks btw, lots of questions already answered

702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Perhaps a DoS flaw? on: August 24, 2010, 01:24:03 AM
You can send from address ABC to ABC right now which is what I did.
are your sure about that? idk, never tried.

maybe you sent it from ABC to YTG and your GUI just didnt tell ya about YTG,
it says "to yourself" instead, cuz it knows its on the same node.

check your log, it'll tell ya.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Perhaps a DoS flaw? on: August 24, 2010, 12:58:50 AM
when u receive 10 coins, and send 5 of em to someone else (another node),
you will also send 5 coins to yourself, without even noticing.

your node splits up the 10coin-transaction into 2, 5coin-transaction to recipient + 5coin-transaction to yourself.
you not only can, the node has to send coins to yourself.

another reason is,
someone else might have access to the address your sending coins to.
imagine services like MyBitcoin, or the markets, they all need to store your funds somewhere and can send balances from one account to another instantly (although transactions still need to get confirmed), without leaving the node.
704  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing: The Amazing Anonymous Bitcoin Lottery on: August 23, 2010, 03:54:51 PM
what i noticed when i registered yesterday was
that it didnt send me to a done-page, but instead still showed the enter BCOUT to register,
i just ignored that, but it was kinda confusing ("am i registered now, or what?").

not sure if you changed that already.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, will you put your things where your mouth is? on: August 23, 2010, 01:47:43 PM
what hate?
aren't we allowed to discuss things?

nothing to say against some kind of hotlink-protection,
it's just that those kind of paragraphs force misunderstandings and are the reason, people end up on courts.

i don't hate people or services that have strange T&Cs, i just try to avoid them.
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, will you put your things where your mouth is? on: August 23, 2010, 12:49:05 PM
So we do have your permission to link to our auctions? Those are "main pages"?
i wouldn't think so.
sounds to me like "promote us is ok, promote your auction is not",
although it says
Quote
For purposes of this paragraph "Main Page" refers to any page and/or document that is intended to be viewed as a whole.
now.

do you really think, your users read and understand what you mean by that?
if you dont want them to hotlink images, why not tell them?
theres other ways to stop people from hotlinking your images and stealing your bandwidth (is it that high yet?).

707  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: August 22, 2010, 06:38:32 PM
added a downline overview to your account info
and usercount to the (bitcoind) stats shown on index-bottom.
stats also show btc-withdrawn, which doesn't mean much though, it might (will?) get higher than usercount, because anyone could fund any amount at any time to his/her balance to withdraw later and any withdrawn amount is shown here (not only earnings).

tell me if it shows strange/wrong numbers.
708  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: August 21, 2010, 04:22:32 PM
made a first banner (in 3 colors),

here's a link to show them rotating and clickable
http://fxnet.co.cc/img/banner.php

if you want to use that link to promote (within a frame/iframe), just add your ref=ID like this
http://fxnet.co.cc/img/banner.php?ref=23
but you can also grab the img-links to hotlink, or the imgs to put on your server, whatever fits your needs.

correct,
all accounts that haven't received (at least) 1btc (in total) remain inactive,
once 1btc has been received, accounts stay active.
no need todo anything besides (referring if you want to,) logging in from time to time to check/withdraw earnings,
or to add links to the rotation (or do other stuff that might be added)
710  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: August 21, 2010, 01:55:34 PM
I made a third account and it gave the 2 referrers the correct amounts. Can't tell about the random bit of course.
3rd lvl would be Ground Loop as far as i see, so he should've got your 3rd share.

randomness while inactivity should work as it did before,
only thing i have NOT done yet is to check if random-1st != random-2nd != random-3rd,
so, if sponsors are inactive, you might get choosen twice/3times randomly and so get 2/3 shares.
not sure if it's a bug, or a feature?  Grin

if anythings working, i'd like to start promoting the site on some traffic-exchanges and such to promote bitcoin, that's what i created it for in the first place.
but i kinda suck on graphics-design, if anyone's bored and up to creating some banners...i'd appreciate any help.
gonna play a bit with PS now myself and see if anything useful comes out.
711  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: August 21, 2010, 12:16:39 PM
3.level sponsor payment activated.

your sponsor gets .25
2.lvl sponsor gets .15
3.lvl sponsor gets .10

as before, if any lvls sponsor isn't active, an active random member gets the share (needs to be tested though).

currently testing 3.lvl-sponsors->.25/.15/.10
4 payments been sent by bitcoind, they just say "to yourself" on the GUI though,
so i'm waiting for confirmations to check back into accounts and see if coins arrive accordingly.

if anything works, i'll activate it (and/or change a bit more).
713  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: August 20, 2010, 09:40:20 PM
Still give the .5 to the sponsor, that's fine since you basically have it set up that way. The bigger numbers at the bottom, make bigger numbers for the guys up top.
so basically, it already is .5 for the first level. Direct sponsor. Then say .2 for 2nd level, .3 for 3rd level. Transactions are not smaller than .1 so there should be no fees.
That would require to get rid of all random-payments,
i dont really like the guys-on-top get almost all, others get peanuts idea, guys-on-top get most over time anyway, why not give others some bits too?

or to raise the fee to 1.Nbtc
and i'd like to keep it as low as possible, 1btc seemed nice and easy.

waitin' for other opinions...

edit:
transactions can go as low as 0.01 without causing transactions fees, can't they? i never payed any.
714  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mobile phone >> Bitcoin on: August 20, 2010, 09:27:27 PM
What are you able to get by mobile call or SMS in Croatia?

if you cant get bitcoins, try to get something to "sell" for bitcoins, like LR/Pecunix/prepaidDebitCards/L$,
people (hopefully) want to buy all kinds of stuff with boitcoins.

715  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: August 20, 2010, 07:45:37 PM
With me being one of the first, and the first to post with my id, I should be reaping huge rewards in a regular pyramid Smiley I may have even have received one or two whole coins by now.

Your right, a (un- or forced) regular matrix-style pyramid would be nice mostly for those that join first,
but hey, it's a randomizer, not a pyramid.  Cheesy

as mentioned, i'm open to ideas and willing to change stuff as users want me to.
don't want to change the whole system though, maybe create a second style.

but i'm ok with splitting those .5-shares into some more/deeper level'd shares,
what'd be a good share in your opinion?
and what do others think?

update:
added a get_nextRef() function already, should be easy to add a few more sponsor-level-paments now.
how about 1st-0.2, 2nd-0.3?
or 1st-0.2, 2nd-0.2, 3rd-0.1?
or 1st-0.1, 2nd-0.1, 3rd-0.1, 4th-0.2?
or...
guess we need a survey. Cheesy
don't forget it's all about transactions, the more splits, the more transactions will occur.

Sorry, but this pyramid sucks. First one in, and no down line fees paid at all.

This is more like a direct referral system, not a pyramid.

your right, this isn't a good pyramid, cuz YOU as a sponsor will only get payed once per direct refferral,
all other fees are randomly payed to all members, no matter where they are located in the pyramid.

theres 42 accounts, right now 35 of 'em are activated,
what did u expect?

you already got 2 referrals, 1 of them isn't active though.
seems like you've already withdrawn those 0.5btc of the active one.

just be a bit more patient,
or at least come up with some suggestions on what to change.
717  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: August 20, 2010, 03:28:23 PM
fixed some bugs, added some stuff, time to test if everythings ok now.

so here's another incredible offer:

yes, it's the cookie,
just go to your browsers settings and delete the (only) one for fxnet.co.cc,
or use another browser-profile,
or use another browser,
..
 Cheesy

and i think i found that bug (or at least one possible reason).
user 27 shown at sponsor, is that one "referring himself" i mentioned a few posts behind (which i didn't change yet),
but i guess that's not it, will need some more tweaks.

edit:
tweaked a bit, hope it worked.

Okay, sorry, I shouldn't have described it like that. Here's what I actually get.
..
That is not my bitcoin address. But I am logged in to MY ACCOUNT (19) because I was able to change my password.

i see,
have to check that, it mixes up the uid with ref somewhere,
it doesnt know ur username (says "welcome ," instead "welcome user,"),
time to fix some more bugs.  Grin
