This is a really good idea, blockchain.info does this but does not provide a nice API to get address labels.

Wow. I just wish I could create a donation-attracting monster like that

Please, PLEASE improve CPU mining! I have a quad-core CPU with Intel integrated graphics (no GPU) and want to make a few bitcents

hi,
thanks for trying to help,
and yes i will donate you my first 5 ltc if with your help i can ever get my pc to work with cgminer. I'm not sure even if i get my machine working how long it will take to get 5 ltc or how much bitcoin that will be. Sadly probably not a lot since btc is worth a lot more but much harder to obtain.
i tried creating a bat file with just
cgminer -n
but cgminer just popped up for a second and vanished, tried again same thing. - REPLY: Well, yes, that's expected.
Ooh OK then, *challenge accepted* Step 1. Open up Command Prompt and run cgminer -n. This should print out a list of devices and numbers. Copy-paste that into your post. Step 2. Put into your batch file: cgminer -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334 -u user -p password --scrypt -d (device 1),(device 2) (that is, what you had before but with the -d part) replacing (device 1) and (device 2) with your device numbers. If you can't find your device numbers, post the output of cgminer -n and then I can help you. Pay the LTC to: LUGaVknf7vRQzKdVNHQypi1EVeEPPtStWS

Yes, and what's your problem? (As in, why are you posting this? )
|
|
|
Yes, you're probably right, as the Bitcoin developers don't like having one address, because it can be traced I would use a wallet like blockchain.info, as it gives you more control. (And if you felt that I have helped you and somehow want to give back, my address is in my signature.)
|
|
|
I don't think Bitcoin-QT shows you your keypool... If you send all your BTC to a listed wallet, what do you get?
|
|
|
my wallet had an encryption pw on it too....no idea how someone hacked that and stole my .dat files
Read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167866.0If your wallet is sync'd then you are not hacked. You have multiple addresses, including the ones that are not displayed (change addresses). i hope you are right but my wallet is not synced. how can i have mutliple addresses?!?! im still very scared Bitcoin-QT (a.k.a the Bitcoin client) stores a keypool of 100 addresses that are used without your knowing. If you want total control of your addresses, I recommend blockchain.info.

Are you aware that no-one will want to buy from you? Especially because you're a newbie with only 1 post... If you were a Full Member (at least) I might trust you with a pinch of salt. How do we know that after sending money, you will deliver the bitcoins? PayPal have an anti-bitcoin policy, so a potential buyer could not get their money back... Sorry to criticise, but it's the truth...

There's no way to reverse the transaction. If the person's indeed hacking you, why won't he move all coins out? This. What wallet are you using?

Most likely, this is an effect of Bitcoin-QT's keypool. Bitcoin-QT stores about 100 addresses in your wallet, and every time you need one, it gives you a different receiving address. I use blockchain.info for my wallet, as it's secure, password-protected, backed up (on blockchain's servers), doesn't require a blockchain download, and gives you control over your addresses. For example, I imported my very nice vanity address easily (found in my signature) And a tip, my friend - don't go telling everyone that you have 11.50 BTC.

how does back up work? if i withdrew from 1 of them, would all of them show the change? is it safe to just keep on online exchanges like mtgox and bitstamp? if no, how would i back those up?
Yes, if you store your wallet.dat in multiple places, when you spend the coins on one, the others' balance changes as well. Yes, it is possible to restore it if you can get to the file. However the question whether You can do it is hard to answer. Misguided retrieval efforts can, in the worst case, cause further data loss.
If I had ~14k riding on a broken HDD I'd be very, very careful with homemade solutions. As gec pointed out, your best bet is to seek professional help, even if it costs you. That's certainly what I would do in your situation.
by very careful, is replacing the pcb safe? If you're worried, seek professional help.

BFL prices just doubled :-/
What? Doubled? OK, there is NO way those are legit. No company doubles prices just like that, and fails to ship in time.
|
|

Is it defaulting to your onboard video card?
Yes, it is defaulting to that. Run cgminer -n (or cgminer --ndevs) to get your devices and their numbers. Then, run what you were running, but with -d (device number 1),(device number 2)If you happen to make any litecoins/ bitcoins, mind donating? BTC: 1 whiskD55W4mRtyFYe92bN4jbsBh1sZut LTC: I don't have one, due to there not being an (good, not charging-half-your-money) online wallet for it. Just exchange LTC for BTC if you don't mind

Nice idea It would be cool if that happened! Why don't you try to make one, and see what turns up?

1. Please correct SGC (spelling, grammar, capitalization) in your title: Is this right? BFL, rig should I buy? > Looking at a BFL rig - OK to buy? 2. Currently, the authenticity of the new BFL ASICs is not very trusted, as, as said, they have failed to deliver. However, Avalon have delivered some batches of their ASICs... 3. If BFL does ship, most people using GPUs to mine will be overtaken by the rapidly increasing difficulty. So, beware! 4. By the time you get your ASIC, others will have already raised the bar in terms of difficulty, and you won't get as much as predicted. 5. I work for tips, you know (You can find my address in my signature) (Quotes on BFL) They have been delaying shipment for over half a year and have never shipped a product, some believe them to be a scam.

To me, this smells fishy. Why? Well, your capitalization is all wrong. Examples: Hi! BitCoin Fully Decentralized Hard Asset Backed Bank! > Hi! Bitcoin fully decentralized hard asset backed bank! The No Public Interest Part is incredibly easy to explain. > The "No public interest" part is incredibly easy to explain. 1) It's New > 1) It's new No businesses that I know type in ALL CAPS. ALL CAPS > all capsAnd, as mentioned, businesses do not ask for donations. People like me do 1whiskD55W4mRtyFYe92bN4jbsBh1sZut
