@legendster - Yes, exactly! I'd screenshot my message box... but that really doesn't prove anything. Not sure if forum moderators can confirm, but they'll be able to see that a message was never even sent to me.
Please do post a LARGE screenshot of your inbox. Doesn't really prove anything though, if I was a scammer... I'd just delete the message. Still though, only a mod can verify at this point. moderators can't look at other users' private messages. only administrator can. send a message to theymos/badbear. |

if you're using ubuntu, you should install from the ppa rather than using downloading and extracting the binaries manually. that way you can just use apt-get to keep your installed version up to date. but to answer your question, you should extract the binaries to /usr/bin/, eg. /usr/bin/bitcoind.

virus scans prove nothing. it's trivial to get any piece of malware crypted so their FUD. provide the source + compile instructions if you want anyone to believe it's clean.
