I think when new software is ready, we will all beta test at the same time like public beta of online games. Bugs will be reported and fixed in realtime. I think mods will be the first batch of members to test before public beta.
Yea, but also, why do they not have at least an alpha available? As we speak I'm trying out something with a heroku instance and the github repo, which I of course forked. It hasn't been updated since april so I suppose that they work on it separately and update it as work is accomplished. Someone who isn't as lazy as me to enter a credit card, use heroku with a credit card to verify your account, hop onto github, fork Epoch Talk, and set the server and emailer service to true and you can point the app this way for us to try it out! I'll otherwise get my CC verified sometime and update this post you guys. last commit was 16 days ago.

I actually had this idea when the fastminer/mining.ml spam started to become more frequent. After seeing this topic I actually went and implemented such a system for calling moderators. It only sends notifications to me for now, but other moderators are free to enroll. Using the system requires you to be a staff (to prevent abuse), but I can open the system up to other trusted users in the future.

is it not possible to ban via the mac adresse ?
that's not how it works.

If someone made a habbit of reporting the same posts over and over it'd be noticed and we'd know something was up.
I bet loads of people do it just to wind the moderators up there was this one time where a guy spammed 500+ reports with multiple alt accounts. wasn't really a problem for me though, because I made a script in 90 seconds that marked them all as bad. :p

If there are duplicate reports, I mark the duplicates as bad, so that's not really an issue.

I stopped selling AWS codes a long time ago.But the fact still stands that he threatened my person safety,it may sound like I'm nitpicking here or I'm trying to bend the rules my way but I'm positive that threats are illegal
If I see your any comment on this post again, I'll come and kick your greek ass.
context: RoughLyfe = bachlovesstories. he seems to be using an alt for some reason.

Why are you framing yourself as the victim here? You were the one who chose to sell the codes (which I'm guessing you weren't supposed to sell), and now you're paying the consequences for it. also: [...] A few months ago I was very bad at bitcoin, now I would say I'm successful,PM me my school if you know it then
I sold codes for a little bit that where gotten in a legit way. So? What he's doing isn't breaking any laws or forum rules. Revealing where you go to school falls under free speech. If he was blackmailing you or was threatening to disclose your SSN, you might have a case.
