Where do I type that?
In command prompt. I've never used command prompt, I don't even know how to open it to type things in (on a macbook). There needs to be a way to download the file so it can just be opened with a double click like other software. Type 'Terminal' in spotlight. Use cd command to enter the same directory where the Nxt.zip file is stored. Then use the command "java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt" What is your OSX? Do you have latest JRE? I don't know what cd command is... can you give an example? I'm on 10.6.8. I don't know if I have the latest JRE, I had to google what that meant just now. There's going to be lots of people who aren't comfortable with using command line, a simple one click instal is going to be needed sooner or later. Don't waste your time then it's a pain in the ass - I upgraded to Mavericks in order to run Nxt and still get some errors that make me feel uncomfortable! Best way is to rent a VPS like I will do and pass it to C-f-B to setup it until we have a proper Mac client... Any recommendations for a cheap VPS to use?

I might just use that (until proper Mac client is available).

I downloaded the file to my macbook and what I get is a folder labelled Nxt filled with files ending in ".class" (without quotes). I can't see how I run it. I hope for launch there is a simple way to run it like all the other clients, where you just download the file and double click. Also I presume for launch you will start a new thread? Please make sure the description of Nxt is comprehensive and the client download + install is really simple.
U shouldn't unpack Nxt.zip. Use it as a single file. Type "java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt" Where do I type that?

Will there be a Mac client at launch?

As long as they can claim their coins until January 3rd, we can go ahead and start Nxt.
It's still better if they do it earlier. What if BCNext is hit by bus? Then they won't get the coins. Could anyone of u create the thread? I'm quite tired doing all this stuff. I've done it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=344206.0

Nxt, the descendant of Bitcoin has launched! If you invested in Nxt during the fundraising stage it's time for you to claim your Nxt! The original thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303898.0How to claim your coins1. Go to http://88.198.210.245:78752. Press yellow lock icon in top left corner 3. Enter any secret phrase. This is a new phrase, not the same as you used initially when investin. Don't forget it, otherwise you won't be able to get your coins!4. Press "Unlock account" button 5. Copy a green number in top left corner. This is ur "account" value6. Send 0.0001 BTC to 1BCN1ugdKdWd9pQ8Am9hMhtHZfmbXzxE8a from the same address that bitcoins where transfered from. Attach your Nxt account id as a public note. 7. BCnxt will send your coins to your account. Investors have until Jan 3rd to claim your coins, but Nxt has launched today so its best to claim them right away. Most have already been claimed (by a different method that didn't require sending anything to BCnext) this thread is just here to alert the handful of investors who missed the launch and still haven't claimed their coins.

I would like to know which Cryptocurrencies are the newest and which will be released soon?! - Nxt, a truly innovative cryptocurrency, is scheduled to launch on the 24th of November at 12:00:00 GMT. Fundraising finished. Just want to stress that Fundraising is finished. DO NOT send BTC as per the instructions to receive Nxt, you wont receive any. This stage is over. When Nxt launches tomorrow there should be an exchange you can trade BTC for Nxt.

Agreed.

Thanks, I saw my Nxt now at the genesis block website If there are unclaimed accounts left and this is a problem, I would suggest to open a new thread with a title like "Claim your account NOW!". Good idea. Title of new thread should be "Nxt investors: Claim your account NOW!".

Devcoin is a step in that direction, its 'earned' by writing (but not directly mined by writing).

People use "NXT" instead of "XNT". If we choose Nxt then let's use NXT for currency code.
Agreed.

.. I'm proposing a dismantling of Devtome and a re-packaging of its content onto separate websites. These will be more reader friendly, more search engine friendly and more advertiser friendly.
That's the strength of Devtome, the content, and the 'packaging' of that content is very important.
No. Devtome will stay as it is because it takes more work to make several sites. You would need several websites, advertising accounts, rating runs, and maybe extra sign up admins and article admins. We don't have enough admins now even just for devtome. I'm covering the gaps we have, there's just not enough people to do more. In the future, if devcoin market capitalization ever reaches ten million, then we could look at somehow making sub sites or blog sites. Before that point there are a lot of other sites to make, for example for video, design, etc.. Ok that's fair enough.
