701  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bot for sevenseas.exchange on: September 08, 2023, 06:49:38 AM
I once downloaded a bot from github and fixed it a bit. The bot tried  first to buy and sell  with some restrictions on price and percentage. To be honest, the risk is big, but it was worth it (I made $468 from $50 in a month) But writing interactions from scratch and the bot is not smart enough.
So if you have made a lot of money with that bot, why are you still looking? Let alone having an exchange that has a little bit of volume. I haven't heard of the exchange that you posted though.

Where did you see it OP?
702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fan of casino reviews online? This is a must-read on: September 07, 2023, 01:26:28 AM
If that is the case with 1xbit, they probably paid or made a posting about making good reviews to make them look "good" or anything. Their brand here in Bitcointalk is forever tarnished and wouldn't be able to repay what they have done in the past. As long as they can make amends to those who were affected before, then maybe there's a chance.

Trust Pilot has some perks but making them able to do the positive reviews without any facts or backing with the actual experience of the casino, makes it still untrustworthy.

It's still better to make some personal investigation than relying on the review site.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Littleboy's altcoin casino on: September 06, 2023, 05:10:32 PM
Seems like a weird name for a casino. Do you have any reason or any idea to share why you chose that name for the casino?

Anyway, you are given what you have. I don't think the site is optimized with the different devices etc. I would wait for the others to play on your site first before I try it.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Give Him a loan Or Partner With Him on: September 05, 2023, 05:16:41 PM
That's going to be a pretty challenging place to be in because he is your friend and you have a belief that he can recover somehow, how he "was" before where he had a lot of money but then lost everything in gambling.

I'm quite confused about this part

who happens to be good at horse racing lost his fortune coming from betting in horse racing because of illness
Did he lose it because he was hospitalized? Or did he lose it in gambling? Because there are two ways you could go with this.

If he lost it due to health complications: Go lend him the extra money that you have since it's not because of losing.
If he lost money to gambling: Don't lend him money. It might not come back to you. That's going to be a problem in the long run. You will just get stressed.

I hope you make the right decision with this OP.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disruption In The Gambling Industry Your Opinion on: September 05, 2023, 04:58:21 PM
When I read disruption, I think of the "innovation" and the technological development of an industry that makes waves towards how the world works currently and how it will differ due to the "Disruption" that something has.

This is a different kind of disruption. It seems that it's a disruption towards the single online casino and how it would affect the gaming business etc.

I think they are going to be okay with the online casino since it has reserves and possibly insurance when things like this happen. Since the example that you gave is a Hot Wallet, it's not going to be the reserves or something.

The important thing here if that happens is that the casino handles it gracefully and makes sure that the members are not affected and they make it known. That's what is going to make the casino be more trusted than ever.

As for the gamblers, they are probably going to continue to gamble.
706  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcointalk source code public? on: September 05, 2023, 04:27:19 PM
Do you want to create something similar to this forum? I think SMF is easy to setup.
I already explained bro that's easy to set up but you cannot get version 1.0 or 1.2 anymore it's the only version where the license is restrictive so the user can modify it.
Sorry for that. I wasn't able to read your reply on the thread. But getting it running is easy right? Is it just that the modification that is hard?

Two years ago I had 1.1 in their gallery but I cannot replicate the width and the length every time I post an image as they do here in Bitcointalk.
What happened to this? Why were you even trying to rreplicate it?

In case of an attack or exploit there's always a backup coming from the host, The host keeps as long as a week in their backup, and besides the forum's security is enhanced.
For sure there are backups here. Secure more than ever.
707  Economy / Economics / Re: To afford personal education or a property? Where to allocate funds? on: September 05, 2023, 03:40:37 PM
I think it depends on where you are in life and what you want because that's going to be a reflection of who you are. If you want to help people and share knowledge on what you have learned, you would probably get a higher degree. If you only think about yourself and just want to earn money, then acquire assets.

Know what you value in life. Personally, I love to learn and knowledge is very important to me that's why I would want to have a higher degree.
708  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcointalk source code public? on: September 05, 2023, 02:37:30 PM
Are you going to use it for trivia or something? Since you are not a programmer I cannot see any value for you knowing that you can see or read the source code. Like what is it for aside from "knowing" it and getting to know the "forum" or something like that?

Do you want to create something similar to this forum? I think SMF is easy to setup.
709  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin or having USD in bank on: September 05, 2023, 09:47:04 AM
I'm curious as to what you think you can control if you have money in the bank. Because I think you can completely control it with the right stuff and important things that you have to do.

Things you can control
  • Withdraw/Deposit money in the bank
  • Invest it in assets or bonds in the bank
  • Your account and where it will go

You cannot control
  • The market (Whether it's stable coin or any other market
  • What the bank does with your money

You will still have the money in your account but technically they would invest it in something and it's numbers on your account etc. As long as your bank is reputable, you have nothing to worry about and if it is insured, etc., you wouldn't have a problem with it.

I think the post essence makes it seem that it is a deciding factor to have that "control" but I don't think it is.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your security is our top priority! on: September 05, 2023, 08:01:08 AM
I admire sites that really focus a lot on the security features of their site. It's the most important thing knowing that it's going to be the "make or break" of a business. How can one trust if they are not secure themselves? That's going to be something to be pondered upon when trying to use services etc.

For the additional security layer, it's the most beneficial thing that could be taken advantage of even if some professional hackers are able to access your account because of it. It's still an effort to do the best thing. Mostly, having a great password could save you from all the trouble.

So maybe an additional security layer for everything? Like verification or something?
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin Dumps $578K in MakerDAO Tokens on: September 05, 2023, 05:36:52 AM
This is a pretty interesting thing to consider, knowing that Vitalik of course is more on ETH. But maybe they are just going to create this drama and introduce some speculations in order for it to be talked about. Having been able to sell it at a high price still is a great thing. Maybe they are just seeing the potential in Solana.

I think time will be the one to be seen if it's better to be in the ETH chain or SOL chain.
712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions dealing on: September 04, 2023, 02:25:17 PM
Why wouldn't it be applicable if you are scalping? I think you can do it when it comes to TP and SL. For the activities for a scalper, you could still do it. You should be better off and schedule it from time to time to be active. You have to have that as well so you can be successful in what you are doing.

It's best to be consistent when you are experiencing emotions. You have to follow the rules. In there, you would see the people who are disciplined and those who are not. It's going to be a deciding thing if you are able to do the following things that you have listed.

That's the secret to success in trading.
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Half of the People in Turkey Now Own Crypto on: September 04, 2023, 12:18:13 PM
Half of those 500 people with the survey are smart to buy Crypto to make sure to hedge against inflation. With the inflation rate that high so much, that's got to be a blow to their economy. They are probably affected by that so much that they know that fiat is not going to do good.
714  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges which allow deposit/withdrawal without KYC on: September 03, 2023, 04:29:14 PM
I think the major exchanges now mostly require KYC but some have their limits set to at least a certain amount of BTC or any coin that you are using to be exchanged if you are non-KYC. I think it would be hard to have right now some exchange that supports Non-KYC. I think it's better to use P2P instead.
715  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Free Withdrawals Exchanges on: September 03, 2023, 04:06:29 PM
I don't think I have tried the withdrawals that are free there in FTX. Or maybe because they don't want you to withdraw?  Shocked Wink

Anyway, I think it would be impossible for a business to give something for free. Even the DEXs need it because it is required by the network. It's part of the fees so it should be paid by the transactor.

Are you doing something like depositing and then withdrawing small amounts?

Welcome to Bitcointalk! The best way to start if you are new here is to check the stickied topics here in the beginners & help section where you posted. That's the best way to know and get around anything about Bitcoin etc.

717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, Bitcoin fits in this gap more than others. on: September 03, 2023, 05:55:43 AM
Are you saying it is reliable because it has the highest value or the actual use case of it? Because we all know that there are coins that would do a better job with some of the features compared to BTC.

So the value you see in BTC is that no one is able to control it, unlike the others?

I'm kinda of seeing less sense in this because there's a consensus with other coins that probably makes the coin somewhat decentralized in terms of decisions etc. Shouldn't it be the same?
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is It Finally Time For AI Coins? on: September 02, 2023, 08:27:35 AM
It could be one of the things that could help be developed and maybe increase in popularity because of the AI aspect. Maybe this is the current trend that we are going to go on. It's probably going to be applicable to the companies that value AI right? Or maybe the people who have started this revolution ever since it started?
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rant: Casinos should hire people who knows about what they do on: September 02, 2023, 02:16:42 AM
Hey there OP, Good luck with your casino reviews.

Anyway, with your concern, I think it's best to know that they are concerned with probably customer satisfaction or refunds of some sort. Not just the whole UI itself. Remember that a lot of people who are in customer service support are being outsourced to different countries that have probably way less salary compared to where they are operating.

Maybe you could point it out and provide a clearer picture. Sometimes it's also about how you are saying it. It's best to put it step by step.

Additionally, maybe you can contact it with the right customer support? There are people who are handling different accounts/situations that have those more on the "technical side" and just the surface-level customer satisfaction thing.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Socialtournaments-A way to stop gambling addiction on: September 02, 2023, 12:30:19 AM
No platform of some sort that lets the members play on their casino site and wants them to stop in any way. I think the effect that it could have is that they are going to be more inclined to gamble than switch to real money.

To see a gambling addict gamble for free and remind him the fact that you can get a lot of dopamine hits and feel that "you could win", I think will just worsen the addiction.

The addiction is not spending money on a casino site but the dopamine hits and the "hope of winning" thing. Not that whether it's real money or not. It's consequential but still, the big factor here is enabling the addict to play more.
