RE: merged mining


I care x999 more that UNO gets some merged coins than what coin it is.  The only point I think that has any long term impact is the name of the merged coin.  That's the only dilution I can see.  Its nice to have some sex appeal and theme in the pairing.  'BIG' is about as cool as a ticker name gets ... and the history of the launch could be a complete scandal ... in 6 months know one cares ... they will only say cool or sucky name.

There is a very real possibility for SHA256 block speed 180secs to challenge the biggest of them all.  

If that argument is to be made then UNO will have to have merged coins, a test net, and even an 'color coin / asset coin platform' attached.

noticed this "weird auto-logout feature" in the past ... not user friendly but yes just log in log out seems to correct it.

We have 2 exchange listings  plus 2 block explorers ... like to get at least 10 permanent nodes.  If a nice person could get some price quotes I'd be happy   right now I have one node service I am looking at but nice to know the other guys rates.

I've avoid HYP because I could see this price/inflation problem.  It now looks like some stake coins can maintain 50% interest rates without price gravity effects, more less even price models.  15% or less the prices continue to rise despite the inflation.  The sweet spot looks like 10-20% stakes pay, but the POW insta mine days (i hope are done) better to move to 6-12month POW phases.

All due respect the HYP crew has said this is an 'experiment' in hyper inflationary economics.  If the investor can grasp that idea then it looks like in the long run HYP is to produce a fairly good coin with a solid/smart community.

I like April.  1st or 3rd or 11th or 15th or 20th.

Gives us time to consider our personal budgets [cold stores vs trade-ables].  April 15th might be the easiest to remember and can segway to bi-monthly new entry dates.  eg. June15th, Aug15th, Oct15th, Dec15th, Feb15th, April15th.

Also the DVC side needs to be plotted out, terms and conditions.  In short, you can sell your "cold stored Equity" via DVC.  And buy it back.  The tricky part is on custody since the funds are frozen and it makes no sense to thaw them out.  So the issuer is the holder "custodian/trustee" but title is transferred by DVC.

So it is like buying a future (stock option)?  The DVC should be priced in the 1:10 range?  10DVC equity =  1uno :: buy DVC for 0.1uno and redeem or settle for DVC+0.9uno=1UNO paid by custodian.  The buyin price is burned into the DVC.

Redeemer can claim on specific dates and at rate 1uno-minus burned buyin price.  All this loopy thinking is to reduce risk in case of bad custodians.  Which I don't think is a problem for TTs at this stage but when we expand to 50-200 TTs it will be.   Best option, low risk so buy in is 0.01 UNO for top rated TTs and something like 0.0075 new TTs.

THEORY A ... liens on cold stored UN
Means you can borrow against your cold stored UN.  But in this case it makes little sense to allow the debtor to hold his own collateral.  This requires transfer to an escrow agent, defeating the cold store principle.  But TTs could probally figure a way to create an instrument like this in the future.

THEORY B ... yield generating deposits
Your cold stored UN earns you 'credentials' and receive interest (CDs certificates of deposit).  

THEORY C ... stock option
You sell a DVC that grants holder the rights to buy UNO at fixed btc/$ @ fixed date.

THEORY D ... stock option << this is what I suggest we test first
You sell a DVC that grants holder the rights to buy UNO at fixed uno @ fixed date.  The end result difference in D & B is little.  

THEORY E ... stock option
For most trusted 5star TTs ... they hold your UNO 'in trust' and get a small fee ... BUT this is monitored via the blockchain because they have pledge a large sum for a long time ... so to pay you back they can not touch their 'cold stored sum' ... in essence they are the top rate vault keepers ... on the level with UN stored at exchange houses, or eWallets.  You pay them 1.005 UNO -to- 0.995 UNO to get a dvc worth 1uno in the future.</sub>

The only reason I am big on BIG ... sweet ticker name plus their website is good enough to appear professional (so there is value there if the BIG community is was smart enough to back up the website just in case!?)  

ORO is a nice add too ... both names capture the 'Bullion / Commodity' idea.

I will be clear that UNO has a good network already.  The point is more to demonstrate that UNO is keeping up with the big boys ... BTC, LTC, VERT have merged mining ... well so to will UNO.  It is a signal that UNO is able and capable to do what ever the big boys do too.

'trading-engines' are now in BETA!  I've have always thought this is a good niche for UNO to figure out.  Same idea as multi-pools but instead of mining and selling 'other coins' to buy up 'your coin' you catch the trading action on 'other coins' and turn the gains into UNO.  The only problem is selling UNO to get back into the trading action game ... like right now ... UN is in a bear cycle so not wise to sell off as it adds to the downward pressure.  But in bull cycles ... yes sure ... it helps cool the UN market and then gains are returned back into UN capital.  

Right now UN is a 1year old baby so to young too handle big action ... but this is a cool added value concept that any uno trader needs to think and read up on ... as trading skills (market timing) get better we can have a merged 'trading-engine' pool?  Basically a managed fund, but governed by hard rules and executed by a bot.  NAUT is the best example (but the algo and it's performance still black boxed).
