Union Berlin last season were testifyingly better than they are now. They were threatening and even at the earliest part of this season, they still had that tempo high. For me personally, League 1 is not as fun and interesting as other European Leagues. So only PSG always has the potential to be the leader, while the existing clubs have only been able to compete for runners up because that is the only position that can still be contested. Bowling paradise but opposition batters outbatted the visitors and our bowling unit just looked toothless, hard to compete when only 2 bowlers are turning up at the job. I had high hopes for the debutant but he failed miserably and the opposition took him to the cleaner. Lord also needs some soul searching and also needs to learn a thing or two about this mortal world, if not then just rip off the golden arm. No complaints to Anna, he did his job well with the ball.

Sad to see India going downhill these days in literally every format. The new gen players aren't really exciting and lack a lot when compared to legends like Virat, Rohit, Bumrah etc in my opinion. Also, Shami should have been a part of the bowling lineup instead of Krishna or Shardul since we all know how devastating he can be in literally every format. Both the Indian bowling and batting side failed miserably. Dean Elgar played an amazing 185 runs which was more than India’s 2nd innings run and almost half of the runs India scored in two innings combined. There is no reason for Inter Milan to lose this match, they have everything and they must be able to utilize it very well.
I think Inter Milan will win this match comfortably. Inter Milan are looking comfortable right now at the top of the Serie A table, 4 points ahead of the 2nd position team. Laurato Martinez is the top scorer right now. Thanks to his contribution, Inter Milan already got 1 hand on the Serie A trophy. Yes, I can't disagree Genoa is actually doing quite good compared to their last season when they were in Serie A. Because this season they were promoted to Serie A and are actually at the middle of the table. So they are doing well. Osimhen who was supposed to be doing better is not. You know stats is not everything in football, but it can tell something about it. South Africa finished first session without much damage. But they were pathetic in the first hour. From a position of 208/8, they allowed India to get to 245. The partnership between KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj added 47 valuable runs (of which the latter added 5 runs). These runs may prove to be critical in the end. Two of the South African bowlers were impressive (Kagiso Rabada and Nandre Burger), while the other two failed completely. And they didn't used any of the part-timers such as Aiden Markram or Keegan Petersen.
With the help of Kl Rahul's 101, India managed to collect 245 runs. India started their first innings very badly. So 245 runs is a good enough collection for them. If Kl Rahul does not play well, the Indian team would have lost all the wickets within 160-170. Rabada managed to take 5 wickets and Burger 3 wickets. South Africa did not start their first innings well. They lost the important wicket of marakram by just 11 runs. At the end of 16 overs, South Africa managed to collect 49 runs after losing 1 wicket. Elgar 29 and Zorzi 11 at the crease now. Indian bowlers are not doing well. They picked up South Africa's first wicket for 11 runs. And now South Africa's collection is 84 runs. The Indian bowlers could not pick up any wickets. Since India cannot collect big, if the Indian bowlers do not bowl well in this match, the chances of India losing are high. India scored only 246 runs. South Africa are currently trailing by just 161 runs. Elgar and Zorzi are batting very responsibly now. If the partnership of these two batsmen is prolonged, India will be under more pressure. South Africa will probably be able to take a lead of 100-150 runs very easily. |

Soon Barcelona should play in the Spanish Super Cup tournament and that is a piece of bad news for this team before the game they are going to have against. Perdtri is injured in Barcelona and he can't play for his team against Osasuna in this tournament. He will probably get back in the good form and the end of January to at start of April and this can put Xavi and Barcelona under more pressure.  Not the best season for Barcelona, but Xavi will try to win the Super Cup match, there are still two weeks for this match, so there is still enough time. In the new year, Barcelona will devote all its efforts to the Champions League, this is the only chance for Xavi to improve his position in the team, since in La Liga they have very bad chances to try to join the fight with Real Madrid. To be honest, I don’t know what Barca’s problem is, they have a fairly strong team and good bench depth, and not many injured players. Barcelona's chances of winning the La Liga title this season are very low. Barcelona is now 7 points behind Real Madrid. Closing the gap will be much more difficult as Real Madrid's performances are more consistent than Barcelona's. Xavi is probably not targeting the La Liga title this season. Manchester was lucky last night to be frank. They are still unbeaten on boxing day since 1978. Coming from behind to defeat Aston Villa is one of their biggest wins in this season. Hojlund finally had his first game in the premier league and Garnacho had a double. Quite a good record for Manchester United yesterday. Because it has been a long time, they had a good win and this time to came back from nothing and won the match with a well stunning performance in the second half.
Whether it's a coincidence or whether Manchester Utd has started to recovered from its downturn, indeed Manchester Utd is under enormous pressure from its supporter after experiencing continuous defeats and failing to qualify for the UCL and UEL, but at least Manchester Utd has started to focused on EPL match and prove that they are still worthy of fighting for good result, I think after they return to the EPL the player mentality started to feel down and they couldn't do their best but in fact Manchester Utd still didn't give up but Ten Hag position couldn't be said to be safe. Aston Villa is not yet said to be a strong candidate to compete at the top with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City because their consistency need to be improved agains, especially when facing weak clubs. This was a completely unexpected result. Manchester United won 3-2. Probably a lot of gamblers lost their money in this match, including me. Aston Villa led 2-0 at the end of the first half. No one imagined that Manchester United would make such a great comeback in the second half and score three goals. Manchester United players showed excellent dominance in the second half. Gaarnacho scored two goals in 59 minutes and 71 minutes. And Hojlund's goal in the 82nd minute gave Manchester United the win. Manchester United's performance in this match was very good. But I still don't think Manchester United have solved all their problems. Because in the past matches we have seen Manchester United surprise everyone by suddenly performing well against the big team, but this team's performance is still erratic. |
