This almost makes me want the $/BTC ratio to go down.
(I own 15 shares. A refund is fine with me.)

Waiting for your Neptune refund? Secure your place now by sending the reservation fee and pay only 3000$ per unit when required and pay the rest after you get your refund. You will need to have proof of asking refund. That will be mandatory!
I'm a shareholder of R19, a group buy for a couple of Neptunes ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=347732.msg5993570#msg5993570), for which I own 15 shares (50 shares per Neptune). This group buy opted for a refund. Would this qualify me for the $3k/unit rate for SP30s?

SP10/Dawson received. It's hashing nicely at around 1370 GH/s on "Normal". Front/back temps are 22C and 73C. It's running on 115V. Thanks, Spondoolies.

Yes, they don't make things like they used to. Back in the day, manufacturers used to sell their parts clocked at speeds far below (like 10% of) their actual room temperature capability. Nowadays, they sell them at about 70% to 90% of their room temperature capability.

Hi,
I and some friends of mine in Seattle are getting into medium-scale bitcoin mining, and are exceeding the electrical capacity of our available house and office spaces. We are interested in setting up a warehouse or low-grade datacenter in central WA, maybe in Wenatchee or Quincy, in order to take advantage of the < $0.03/kWh hydro electricity and cheap rents. However, we're concerned that the distance from any of us (2.5 hours driving) combined with our day jobs could make maintenance and installation a nightmare in terms of how much of our time it would take to do so. So we thought we would look for help.
I see a few possible ways in which someone could help us:
1. We could rent a house for the miners and give someone free housing in exchange for providing security and some basic technical assistance keeping the miners running.
2. We could hire someone who lives nearby to help us when minor miner problems arise in the space (like a miner needing to be rebooted) and/or to help with larger installation projects, especially when the mountain passes are snowed in or we're out of town
3. We could collaborate with another bitcoin mining operation in the area to share space, labor, and maintenance costs in order to get a greater economy of scale and less labor per miner.
What we're not particularly interested in is people who want to piggyback their mining equipment on our labor. We currently have better access to capital than to space and labor, so we're not interested in arrangements that involve us doing more work than we would do if we worked alone.
Let me know if anyone thinks they might have a fit.

1.1BTC sent for 1 assembled miner. Email also sent. bdfe319fd234ad8de54703cc49f228e2e90fd7f0d478939e710310b57be18054
Note: I'd like to pick this up in person, since I'm in Shenzhen for the next 3 weeks.

I offer 4.5 BTC for one, or 8.5 BTC for both.
|
|

I'll offer you 4.5 BTC for it.
By the way, it was a delay of a little over two months, not one month. Feb 24 + 1 month does not equal May 1st.

Antminers will be on sale again after the Chinese New Year is over. That festival ends Feb 5th. There should also be a bunch more Avalon2s on sale then.

Hey bobsag3, can you read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294197.msg4837079#msg4837079and this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294197.msg4837704#msg4837704please? Like many others, I think the planned 25% for 4 months is insufficient. I think it would be fair to compensate with the same number of hashes (not hashes/sec, but actual hashes) that are lost. 2 months' delay on a 2 TH/s should be compensated with either 4 months cloud hashing at 1 TH/s or 2 months at 2 TH/s. If you think that's reasonable, please discuss it with Black Arrow when you meet with them in London. Also, I'm going to be in Shenzhen for most of February. If there's anything I can do to help BA or the community while I'm there, please let me know.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to take a second to say I'm sorry about everything.
Matt
Thanks for that at least. Making estimates of how long an engineering project will take and how much it will cost is notoriously difficult, and most of us understand that. However, you guys really need to improve communication with your engineers and transparency on the whole. Moving on. Matt, can you read btmtb's open letter ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294197.msg4837079#msg4837079) and my comments and tell us what you (and your bosses) think about it? I think Black Arrow's faithful early customers deserve a bit more than 25% * 4 months. Also, if you can facilitate order transfers, I think we can prevent a few refund requests by buying and selling the preorders amongst ourselves. I think this could save you guys a lot of headaches and maybe some lawsuits.

I offer 4.5 BTC. Yes, I'm aware that that is less than you paid.
For the rest of you, Black Arrow is offering a free Rent-a-Minion cloud hashing bonus as an apology for the delay. The cloud hashing will be 25% of the ordered hashrate (500 GH/s for a Prospero X-3) and will last 4 months. This is in addition to the X-3 itself, which will not be hosted for free.

I do not wish to cancel my order, but the 25% / 4 months compensation for the breach of contract is not sufficient to cover the loss in mining capacity over the timeframe of the delay. I appreciate the fact that you are making an offer, but can you please review the level of this duration. My suggestion of what I would like to receive is 100% of my mining speed order, for 2 months duration minimum. This is the equivalent number of pure GH's that we're losing due to this delay. I know this doesn't account for the increase in difficulty, but it's a more acceptable offer in real terms. [/li]
[/quote] I think this is a pretty fair compromise. Sixty-five days at 2 TH/s is 11232000 TH or about 11.2 exahashes. We're losing 11.2 exahashes due to the delay, so I think BA should deliver us those 11.2 exahashes in the cloud as soon as they can. True, those exahashes won't have the same value in May as they would in March, but I'm okay with writing that off as a loss. I think it would be hard for BA to deliver 100% for two months, though. That would mean they would have to produce double the volume of ordered miners just to meet those hashing obligations. On the other hand, 25% for 8 months would be too huge of a loss for the customers. I think 50% of the hashrate for 2x the length of the delay would be a reasonable compromise. zurg, the emails were only sent to people who bought directly from Black Arrow, and haven't been sent to Minersource.net customers yet.

If anyone wants to sell their preorder, I'm willing to buy one at 4.75 btc, a second at 4.5 btc, and a third and fourth at 4 btc. Subtract 0.2 btc from those prices if you paid your order after January 1st. PM me if you're interested.

Black Arrow won't ship until May. They just announced this a few hours ago.
|
|

3.2 BTC plus shipping to California, but I would need to get it done reasonably quickly, as I am going on a business trip in a week and need to get it set up before I go.
John K has been unresponsive lately. Might you be willing to use an automated escrow system like bitrated.com (little or no fee) or btcrow.com (1.5%) instead? Mobodick would probably be fine with me too.

A few things in this post triggered my scam detectors. Proceed with caution.
|
|
|
Well, it would, except for the fact that Black Arrow is likely to be about two months late on their first batch given that they apparently haven't taped out yet.
|
|
|
7 BTC. I'm in SF, but I could drive down to LA to pick it up.
|
|
|
I'd be willing to pay 10 BTC for this, if you're willing to use escrow (bitrated.com or btcrow.com preferred).
