721  Economy / Securities / Re: Silver/BTC Price Alert -- Why every investor needs TU.SILVER now! on: February 12, 2013, 04:32:25 AM
Hello, I'd like to issue an emergency price alert. Based on my analysis I've detected a top/reversal in progress.

I also believe an excellent way to play this trade is to buy SILVER -- either physical silver, or a fund like SaltySpitoon's LTC-SILVER, or my own TU.SILVER on BitFunder.

Please read this report.
http://kongzi.ca/silver/20130212TSR.pdf

I urge you to take advantage of this free information. Please let me know what you think of this analysis. I've been watching this situation for a while and it has begin to concern me greatly. This can't go on forever. I believe when the reversal hits it will be violent and without mercy.

Quote from the report:
"In the background we see the rise of ASICS and a massive influx of new BTC, which will almost certainly be sold and are very likely to drive the price down"

What is that? The influx of new bitcoin will remain approximately constant at 25 per 10 minutes until it drops to 12.5 per 10 minutes.

Oh you're right, good catch. I posted the correction. Thanks!

It's my opinion that ASIC miners (and manufacturers who took bitcoins for orders) will sell those BTC over the next month. In fact in retrospect it appears as if people have been holding on to BTC to buy ASICs (causing the rise in the first place). Now that ASICs are out and orders for ASICs are being processed I expect the top will be put in this week.

I'm just happy I got in at such a low price (0.50/share) Smiley

I wonder how high it will go? If the avalons pay for themselves in 10-15 days this should go thru the roof. At 5%/month conservative I can see this hitting 10 bitcoins a share on speculation. I could really use that right now ^^

full disclosure, I own 50 shares.

726  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ciuciu's "guaranteed" bond on: February 10, 2013, 11:58:55 PM
Back in the month before Pirate collapsed, right after ciuciu launched ciuciu bond and was borrowing stocks to short, he approached me to insure 2,000 worth of Pirate exposure. It was clear to me he was just putting everything he had into pirate so I did not follow CIUCIU.BOND nor any of his other escapades because I didn't want any more pirate exposure. As a result of not paying attention to CIUCIU, I did not know he was scamming. I also didn't have any proof of anything, and I am not the sort of person to shoot first (post in scam accusations) without evidence like many people here are wont to do.

But now that I have asked and it has been made clear CIUCIU stated he was running a mining farm, it's obvious to me the whole thing was a sham. And when I say sham I don't mean sham wow. So in the end, his mining bond was a virtual mining bond backed by pirate. You know, ALA patrick harnett, hashking, and so on. "Oops".
727  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 1 ounce PAMP gold bullion bar on: February 10, 2013, 11:42:34 PM
Just putting that there until the question is resolved, as this bar seems to be GOLD's property. Probably just a mistake?

CRAP! Well, that looks really bad. Doesn't it!

I sincerely apologize. I obviously can't sell that one. I have several bars and I must have mixed them up at some point. I am removing this item from sale until things are straightened out.

No problem it's a common mistake, from what I hear banks make this mistake all the time  Cheesy

...just kidding... Seriously though, I suspected it was an honest mistake just like that. In a case like this, the worst that could happen is you just back it with a different bar. This just goes to show one of gold's beauties; it's fungible. I actually made the same mistake with some silver just a couple of days ago.

729  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Bitcoin Gold Trust on: February 10, 2013, 02:01:06 PM
It is conceivable that two different one ounce gold bars exist.

Yes, in fact, you may be suprised to learn that there are actually more than two one ounce gold bars.

But it's a good point that people purporting to offer precious metals investments should state the serials of the backing where practical - which I don't see here anywhere.

It's in his contract: https://btct.co/security/GOLD

Scroll down and you will see: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B23m7aRNI-JbT0xhcEZFWFdQZVE

Serial number is the same as the one he's selling in the goods forum.

Weekly Report

Saturday, February 9, 2013

Overview

Assets: 1 oz.
Shares Outstanding: 100
NAV: BTC0.7437
Basket Size: 100 shares

Commentary

Despite a sharp drop in the price of BTC at the end of last week, the price quickly recovered and continued to rise. As a result, the NAV has declined, falling from from BTC0.7835 to BTC0.7437 (-5.1%). The price of BTC rose from $21.30 to $22.43 (+5.3%), accompanied by a negligible fall in the price of gold from $1669 from $1668 (<0.1%).

In the past, strong runs in the price of BTC have lead to sharp pull-backs. I can't predict what will happen, but if a pull-back happens again, you don't want to be holding BTC.

Hi John just saw your sale of the 1oz pamp bar, SN B052203, what's going on here? This is the same bar you're backing GOLD with (from your contract,
"An up-to-date verification of the assets owned by the trust can be found here:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B23m7aRNI-JbT0xhcEZFWFdQZVE
").

Your contract states the gold in the fund will remain unencumbered (etc.) and further that it is stored in a vault at Wells Fargo. I might be getting the wrong idea here so can you please explain what is going on with this sale? Thanks.
731  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ciuciu's "guaranteed" bond on: February 09, 2013, 10:03:31 AM
It appears that GIPPT has been paid 100%. Any updates?

Yes, we don't know what he did with the money. This is extremely important. Did ciuciu claim he was running a mining farm, or not? What did he say he was doing with the money?
732  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Westera - Teramining Pass Through on: February 08, 2013, 11:19:21 PM
I encourage discussion in this thread to assist in the determination of a fair IPO price.

What about GIGAMINING? Why is it that we can't get our GIGAMINING without AML or KYC, nor transfer beneficial ownership despite provisions under the law, yet you are being allowed to operate a TERAMINING passthrough?

Given the nature of what is going on I think we need to see proof you are authorized to run this from GigaVPS, or else I'd unfortunately have to conclude this is a scam.
733  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] SILVER -- Launched! on: February 08, 2013, 01:01:22 AM
I am pleased to announce we've just purchased an additional 20 oz. of silver from Amagi metals! We support the community.

Due to the bitcoin price increase, I can already offer this silver to you for less than I paid for it! The current ask price on TU.SILVER is just 1.844 BTC/oz, and falling! This is creating a huge buying opportunity. I can't believe silver is so cheap now.

The new silver is in the form of twenty 2013 1oz Canadian Maples. They're very beautiful coins. Very thick. I've included a promo picture below and will be posting actual photos of the coins when they arrive. Please see the gallery under "Profile --> Images" on the TU.SILVER asset page for more great photos of our coins!

734  Economy / Securities / Re: I sure do miss the GLBSE on: February 08, 2013, 12:32:00 AM
Yes it does, but thankfully it happens outside of finance. Bitcoin doesn't need MP to be a jurist or a hardware engineer, so I can easily forgive if he has some misses here and there. We need him to be the capable financier he is though or we'd be stuck with nothing but Usagi and Pirate all of the way down.

I'm sure in time he'll miss finance stuff, too. He has to.

Sure little things, maybe somewhat embarrassing public things. I doubt he's going to fold up like Nefario did, or pull a bet Mathew's.

Please don't compare me to pirate. Comparing me to Pirate is very unfair given what I actually did. I stepped in and paid people who lost money on pirate. For example, Matic Kočevar, the BitBet guy. When pirate folded I paid him over 1,000 BTC. That's a lot of money. I was honest. And now I am paying CPA's assets (NYAN) out of my own pocket.

I paid people back just like everyone else did. In fact I did more, I put my own personal money on the line. Now I am running a new business, TU.SILVER which is enjoying relative success and will soon be worth more than all other precious metals funds in the community combined. Probably time to give it a rest.
735  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] .999 Hand-Poured Silver Bars, Any Weight on: February 07, 2013, 10:44:40 PM
Well there's a coin premium, but 100% can't last forever. Coin premium is like 20% max IIRC.
You're thinking numismatic value on legal tender. I'm talking intrinsic value on pm rounds/bars. There's a huge difference. The reason that those rounds/bars sell so well is because of the perceived value of the piece by the consumer, and not the graded value in some PCGS/NGC mint book.

No, I mean the coin premium what you would expect to pay on small denomination coins/bars. Like, people these days seem to want to charge 1.5 or 1.7 for a 1/2oz round when a 1oz costs 2. I think it would be more like 1.1 for a 1/2 oz round if a 1oz round costs 2. And all this would be on a spot price of 1.8 or 1.9 per oz. That's what I mean by coin premium.

Luckily my supplier seems to be having a case of temporary insanity and is selling 1/2oz rounds for the same oz markup as dole bars  Cool
736  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] .999 Hand-Poured Silver Bars, Any Weight on: February 07, 2013, 09:42:03 PM
I just wanted to pop in and suggest making 1 gram custom rounds. I used to collect silver like it was going out of style. I probably had in excess of 30 pounds at one time (down to just a few hundred ounces now). I wanted to sell some, but hated dealing with spot, local shops, and just scammers in general. I noticed on Ebay that gold 1 gram (or even as small as 5 grain) bars and rounds were selling nonstop. I decided to dedicate a hundred ounces to making my own rounds/bars. i bought a smaller kiln/forge than what you have, and had some custom 1 gram rounds molds made up. The molds cost me about $30 a piece, but were well worth it.

Anyways, i was able to sell all 100 ounces, in 1 gram rounds/bars, and receive 200% or more over spot. For some reason on Ebay (and especially now that APMEX and Ebay have teamed up), people buy the small fractionals like crazy, and at a higher premium. Everyday on ebay there's fractionals going for upwards of $60/ozt, when spot is not even hitting $32. you can see some examples of what i mean at http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=1+gram+silver+rounds&_sacat=0&_from=R40 .

Basically i ordered mold designs that i hadn't seen on custom rounds and bars. Chinese dragon, skull and crossbones, american flag, and a generic sports mold were my top sellers. I made enough over spot to easily recoup my initial investment in the silver (bought at $11/ozt years ago), the cost of the forge, the cost of the molds, and all packaging/shipping costs - and i pocketed several thousand more dollars over spot.

It worked really well for me, so i figured i'd share it. Either way, i hope you have a very successful run, fellow silversmith!

Well there's a coin premium, but 100% can't last forever. Coin premium is like 20% max IIRC.

738  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's play answer the previous question with a question--again. on: February 07, 2013, 07:52:40 AM
Am I?

Are you? Are we? Is anyone? The development of our cerebral cortex has been the greatest achievement of the evolutionary processes. Big deal. While allowing us the thrills of intellect or the pangs of self-consciousness, it is all too often overruled by our inner, instinctive brain - the one that tells us to react, not reflect, to run, rather than ruminate. Maybe we have gone as far as we can go and the next advance, whatever that may be - will be made by beings we create ourselves, using our own technology. Life forms we can design and program not to be ultimately governed and constricted by the rules of survival. Or perhaps that step forward had already been achieved on another planet by organisms that had a billion years head start on us. If these beings ever visited us, would we recognize what we were seeing? And upon catching sight of us, would they react in anything but horror at seeing such mindless, primitive, hideous creatures? Deep Throat said Trust No One. It's hard. Suspecting everyone, everything. It wears you down. You even begin to doubt what you know is the truth. Before, I could only trust myself. Now I can only trust you. And they've taken you away from me. My life up to this point has been about the need to see her again. To see them. But what would I do if they really came?
739  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Members of Congress Introduce Federal Bills to Regulate and Tax Marijuana on: February 07, 2013, 07:36:49 AM
so what do you guys think? what are the chances these bills will pass? Congress could really use the boost to their approval rating. what is it right now 5%? This measure would surely improve that statistic considerably.

Why would I give them kudos...

What do you have as far as bars? I'm interested in anything over an ounce.

I need to put them on order, but I can get 5oz, 10oz, 1kg, and 50oz bars. I'm planning on ordering some bars next time and will post pictures of any new kind of silver I get on BitFunder. Check out "profile" and then "images" on our BitFudner page: https://bitfunder.com/asset/TU.SILVER

I can also check a secondary local supplier and get you silver shot and cut bars. I.E. any quantity and almost any size you like. Here's another picture you might enjoy, these are almost all gone but I do have one left:

http://kongzi.ca/silver/PANAM1oz.jpg

I know it's only a 1oz bar. I'll post pictures of the larger bars later when I can get them in my hands.
