The current poll results are still slightly different from and Trump is still under Biden. This can still reverse direction where the results have not yet been made official waiting for who will win in this election.

I always see the latest news on social media and the updated poll news will not be missed; D.

There are also many punters in this poll. Biden voters are still happy because they take the lead at the moment.

That means absolutely nothing... that he is ahead now.
Biden Voters are very worried...
Biden is ahead because his states were already counted.. Trumps are still being counted and the swing states are swining to Biden.
Just check the live odds, Bookies are agreeing.

Trump is ahead in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Michigan
Biden is ahead in Nevada...

Well if Trump wins, than the guy with his 130 000$ bet on Trump will be very happy.
Trump is indeed ahead in most of Swing states, but there still a lot of votes to be counted. But more and more, I think Trump will win again...

Do you know what votes they count? Smiley

My point was that even you had the feature you're asking and even if everyone would ignore the obvious privacy issues, you still wouldn't get what you want. I routinely leave 20 Bitcointalk tabs open while I work on something. Forget it. Use the watchlist and stop trying to turn this into yet another twitfacechat.

Currently/Last Seen :         (Bitcoin Forum > Other > Meta > Start new topic)
IIRC, we had that feature back in the day but it was a bit hidden since you had to go to the "Members" page then go over the "view all members [currently disabled]" tab and simply scroll over thousands of names in the list before you could find the one you're looking for.

  • I can't recall if we had to hover over the names or a certain icon in order to see that information [couldn't find any SS or an archive page since it's a private page].
  • AFAIK, we never had that feature under the "search for members" tab.

@jamyr
- Not sure if that page was disabled for that same reason or as part of something else, but I have a strong feeling we're not going to get it back any time soon.

Well I guess if that feature was available and have been removed. It's time to do what the moon says, forget. Thanks SFR10!

Brilliant. Perhaps the forum should also stream every user's webcam feed and share their screen on user profile so that we would know exactly what everyone is doing at any time.

It may be stupid for you, but unlike you who most of the time answer with a finality whenever you respond to a post, there are threads that are very informative (for the stupid me).
Its easier to look down than to look up.(just saying) Maybe climb down from where you're at, and look from down here. Do you know what its like to wait for a conclusive answer? Maybe not, since it is you who give the conclusions most of the time.

. . .

This reminds me of when texts and stuff first started telling people it had been read. It does nothing more than let you know your being ignored...

. . .

To know your being ignored is better than not knowing at all.
(again my stupid self feels this way)

The point is it doesn't matter knowing whether a stranger just ignored engaging further in the discussion or not, except maybe hurting your feelings  Wink. It changes nothing in the forum.

 Grin
It hurts you know Cheesy , to wait indefinitely Cheesy

I prefer instant notifications like the mention and notification bots a couple of members created.

Will think of doing the same, thanks!
727  Other / Meta / Re: A request for this feature: on: November 02, 2020, 09:55:48 PM
It's not necessary and looks creepy  Cheesy

Not really a necessity but creepy, I don't think so.

So what happens if you got to know that the person didn't respond to you and decided to read another topic? Do you crucify him/her?
How do you even tell if the person just ignored replying you or they just forgot to come back to the thread.

If it shows that he is no longer interested (example the feature would show the user is engaged somewhere else) then, I will not look forward to his reply. I mean
seriously, if you really mean what you put in your post, would you not be watching the answers/responses you may get?

Remember the forum has no notification feature that could alert someone they were quoted or mention?

***I know we have the watchlist for that.

. . . There are many reasons someone may take a while to answer.  . . .
Yes, one of which is that someone doesn't want to answer anymore.

Anyways, just my opinion. Smiley Thanks.
728  Other / Meta / Re: A request for this feature: on: November 02, 2020, 08:49:04 PM
But whyyyyyy?

Like you can check someone's recent topics and recent posts why would people want to know exactly where others are?

For example, you ask me a question or an inquiry and I left you hanging. Would you not be interested to know?

733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not needed but only for investment purposes on: October 30, 2020, 05:32:38 PM
Do we really need bitcoin?

Not if you don't agree with Satoshi's view of the state of Commerce in the internet.

here is the link to illumination:

https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

and I quote
Quote from: Satoshi Nakamoto link=https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf
1. Introduction
Commerce on the Internet has come to rely almost exclusively on financial institutions serving as
trusted third parties to process electronic payments. While the system works well enough for
most transactions, it still suffers from the inherent weaknesses of the trust based model.
Completely non-reversible transactions are not really possible, since financial institutions cannot
avoid mediating disputes. The cost of mediation increases transaction costs, limiting the
minimum practical transaction size and cutting off the possibility for small casual transactions,
and there is a broader cost in the loss of ability to make non-reversible payments for nonreversible services. With the possibility of reversal, the need for trust spreads. Merchants must
be wary of their customers, hassling them for more information than they would otherwise need.
A certain percentage of fraud is accepted as unavoidable. These costs and payment uncertainties
can be avoided in person by using physical currency, but no mechanism exists to make payments
over a communications channel without a trusted party.
What is needed is an electronic payment system based on cryptographic proof instead of trust,
allowing any two willing parties to transact directly with each other without the need for a trusted
third party. Transactions that are computationally impractical to reverse would protect sellers
from fraud, and routine escrow mechanisms could easily be implemented to protect buyers. In
this paper, we propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer distributed
timestamp server to generate computational proof of the chronological order of transactions. The
system is secure as long as honest nodes collectively control more CPU power than any
cooperating group of attacker nodes.

Most of the members here will say yes but bitcoin is not needed unless you want to earn or lose your money. Bitcoin is a form of gamblmg that if you are new you can have high chances to lose money and that benefits others as it comes to them as profits right?
What do you think?

Let me return the question to you,

What do you think?

Biden or Trump?

From what I've read from somewhere I can't remember, these odds were like 4 years ago when it was Hillary vs Trump, or worst than this.

If I am not mistaken, back in 2016, 1:5 was the average odds before the FBI announced reopening investigation towards the Hillary email server yada.. yada.. yada.

Will he be able to pull his Trump card in the last minute? XD

Edit:::

Just now::

Hello, great to see you here.  Smiley
As the creator said, we are also very happy about advertising for this Campaign

To do so, you could wear the signature and/or avatar of this campaign:

I do not want to advertise for the campaign but for the activity, I guess I misinterpreted what he said.

Where did I post anything? I have given some advice to the OP but that's about it. All the decisions have been based off of community opinions and internal decisions. No matter what they do, they cannot help everyone, but they are doing some good for some people.

I would like to see break downs of costs added to the OP. Let the donators see where their money is going and help them decide if they wanna donate more for the causes. I would also like to see more countries being helped vs mainly the Asian region. Many people in need from all countries.

This is for the sake of transparency, which I really think is kind-of great in a way for the public to know.

For cabalism, I understand keeping a very precise atomization of every expenditure is a big task. Especially since its not something that you are getting paid for.

That would be a good thing, but still I can't get any users whom I can be trusted especially now... I don't know how to interview, unlike here crwth and bl4nkcode has been known to me (personally) for a quite time now...

Recommendation how to interview,

Algo:

1. Set standards.
2. Set questions that would compare response to expectations.
examples:

Ask candidate:

Why should I hire you?
Why should I not hire you?

Ask yourself:
Why should I hire him/her?
Why shouldn't I hire him/her?

Yahoo for example do accept participants basing on his standards/mood/whatever. That is one of the perks of having the "last word".
Just remember we cannot please everybody, although we try to.

(why I am meddling with this? I don't know)

Only 2 months left until Christmas, we need some support again.
I'm now planning to go somewhere else to spread the joy and help humanity by giving foods for those homeless people, or making a "Kalusugan ni Juan Project" feeding program on some squatters's area.

To make this happen I am asking for your support, financially or tru advertising. Whatever kind ofnhelp is appreciated and accepted, besides $1 is already big for them. 🥰

I would like to participate in this thru advertising and if the schedule of the activity would not interfere with my other commitments, I would love to join the OPS physically.

Let me know how.

Is there any way to close the chatbox at the right of the screen? It's kind of distracting when I bet, and I haven't had any luck finding a button for it except for one that just opens the chatbox as a pop-up window, but still keeps it on the screen.

If I open a link to a game directly from it's URL, the chatbox doesn't appear at first but it comes back in a few seconds.

hope this helps.
