7201  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I post in forums other than Beginners and help? on: January 20, 2018, 05:21:54 PM
Hello guys,
I am newbie here and activity level in around 26.
Am I eligible to post in other thread and sections other than Beginners and help?
If not how long will it take before I can share in other threads. I am newbie but I am technically sound and want to help people who are new.
What this simply means is that you haven't taken out time to search the forum for its rules and regulations or dos and donts, especially as outlined here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Besides, posting only in Beginners and help won't get you into campaigns. No campaign wants you posting there only. Also, you really have to diversify your postings to give colouration to your contribution too on this forum.
7202  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to hold a cryptocoin/altcoins to earn good profits? on: January 20, 2018, 01:16:10 PM
How long to hold a cryptocoin/altcoins to earn good profits?
I take it that you are referring to already existing coins and not those at ICO stages. Well, holding to make profit from these coins does not necessarily depend on how long one holds them. What is supreme is the news around the coin and how fast they record gains.
7203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmed: china central bank issued a new document against cryptocurreny on: January 19, 2018, 04:19:54 AM
We really can't be bothered any more than we already are with China and her ill decision concerning Bitcoin. The world had moved on without China and it should remain like that after the first ban. Bitcoin is surviving without China anf her miners.

Not surprising.  China, USA, all countries with a central bank really, manipulate their currency heavily.  They hate bitcoins because it can't be manipulated as easily.  They can't control the supply with interest rates, they can't print more of it, they can't easily sieze it.  They can't control it...

Is there really a country that doesn't do all that? Yet some are adopting the Bitcoin.
7204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why I love this Bitcoin crash on: January 18, 2018, 06:00:38 PM
The best part for me about this crash is that all these dumb noob idiots who have been obsessing about the price, thinking they are geniuses can finally shut up. They will finally see how idiotic they have been. I hope they lost all they money.
You are right about noobs acting like they are crypto prophets. Now that Bitcoin crash has messed up all their portfolios and blessed them with heartache. Besides this, I like the crash too because it affords low time and small investors an opportunity to buy into the dip. Also, a third reason for me is that the crash proved to people that Bitcoin isnt a bubble and that it is subject to market supply and demand.
7205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🧐🧐🧐 Be a wise investor on: January 18, 2018, 03:55:30 AM
It is believed that you will find interested in nothing but the “interest”.

#RTCLending

That comment I bolded spoils the whole thing for you. It's a morale killer and this isn't a right time to talk about lending coins going by what bitconnect is faced with at the moment as a lending coin. It is a Ponzi that has blown open now.
7206  Economy / Speculation / Re: time to buy soon on: January 17, 2018, 04:36:16 PM
Hello my friends.

Is it me or is it time to buy Bitcoin and ethereum soon ?  Grin
If you are still dilly-dallying and haven't still bought the dip till now you may easily miss out soon on the ride up, especially with Bitcoin. This correction is a welcome development that will push Bitcoin to a new ATH. Let the dip and so much red you see not scare you. There is no perfect time than this. History has shown that Bitcoin has the ability to always bounce back.
7207  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Bitcoin Africa on: January 16, 2018, 04:50:36 PM
Pls I want to Know if there is any cryptocurrency that has originated from Africa. Are there any dev currently working on any. Thanks

There's kobocoin, prosperipro both not very good projects.. Then there is humaniq(not originally from Africa but Africa is their focus. Humaniq is probably the only project worth looking at.

I actually haven't read or heard of kobocoin. But there is one owned by a Nigerian living abroad and that is dalecoin. You can find the relevant links here:

Website: www.dalecoin.org

Telegram: @dale_coin

https://twitter.com/DalecoinN

Hello everyone. I'm a Nigerian and would love to meet crypto currency lovers like me that own a faucet such as http://emmonfaucet.ga  . Please let's share information and knowledge and make a formidable impact to the bitcoin community.
There is a flourishing telegram group where you can meet some amazing Nigerian crypto traders. Here: @armyofcryptocurrencytraders
7208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favorite current or upcoming ICOs on: January 16, 2018, 03:28:00 PM
Hello everyone, I have not been able to find a section where people can talk about their favorite ICOs. So I wanted to ask, What are some of your favorite current or upcoming ICOs? And why do you believe in the project?
There are several threads here on that.

To be warned is to be armed. OP, you should know that the chances of getting scammed is very high at ICO and that chances that an ICO succeeds is low. In fact, we are taking about 70% scam rate and 30% success rate. ICOs are not for the Lilly hearted.
7209  Economy / Scam Accusations / Possible Westerncoin Scam xxxx on: January 16, 2018, 01:38:55 PM
What looked promising and genuine now looks a clear case of fraudulent engagement. Weeks after its ICO and date for it to enlist in an exchange according to its roadmap, Westerncoin has finally made away with investors money. There hasn't been any response from the devs officially since this year. The devs have gone incommunicado. People beware!
7210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts are Bleeding What To Do? on: January 14, 2018, 04:07:41 PM
Its a great time to buy right now because of the dip. Just invest in projects you believe in and have a good team and tech behind it. I am a big believer in VEN and have put alot of my current holding into it over the last few weeks.
That is sadly true to buy whenever there is a dip and not to sell off in panic. But this can only be true for veteran traders or holders. Noobs easily show their weak hands at a time like this. At the moment, the correction in btc (which is why altcoins are bleeding)  is highly needed for it had over stretched itself a long time ago.

So, OP you should hold your coins and even buy more at each dip.
7211  Economy / Services / Re: BitEther Signature Campaign | Jr - Hero | 2 Weeks Campaign on: January 14, 2018, 02:33:52 AM
I would like to say:
First, this isn't the right section for this campaign as it isn't a Bitcoin campaign. It should belong to the altcoin bounty section.

Second, the OP sucks at English Language. The manager should have hired someone to edit the OP.

Third, why do posters always scramble at any campaign even when there isn't any proof of an escrow?
7212  Economy / Economics / Re: until when will the bounty program remain? on: January 13, 2018, 07:06:43 AM
Bounties will continue to be as long as people have projects they want to run as crypto and bring them in as ICOs. It is a away of making adverts. It's a job and not a gift, OP. And that's why some managers here are strict on their selection of posters. The quality of posters matter in advertising for a company. It's like having a great staff on your board.
7213  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What are the best bitcoin wallets? on: January 12, 2018, 05:46:00 PM
Be extremely cautious about Electrum until it's fixed. There's a vulnerability right now.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2702103.0
The issue with Electrum will be easily taken care of with the upgrade. It is a good wallet to have. I also recommend Coinomi and Freewallet. They have seeds you can save to recover your wallet in case you lose your device.
7214  Economy / Economics / Re: Many new rich people are created from Bitcoin on: January 12, 2018, 04:31:59 PM
bitcoin prices continue to rise as this is one of the causes of increased bitcoin users, whose goal is to change a much better standard of living, give your feedback on this?
Yes, Bitcoin has really made many nouveau riche and placed wealth on the door steps of many youths. But really, it isn't just with Bitcoin alone. It is generally with cryptocurrency. But Bitcoin heads that league. Imagine what happened to bitcoin holders during different forks and how much they made from it.

Are you guys kind of retards or what? The instruction is not to post your updates here. Can't you just read,? I guess this will get you a certified ban now!
7216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most promising low market cap coin? on: January 12, 2018, 05:52:31 AM
Interested to see people's thoughts ..post with the following headings. Thanks

What is your most promising low market cap coin?

LUX

Why?
Low market cap...low supply.. slowly getting hype...privacy coin and able to stake. Basically a privacy eth

And what is your prediction for it short and long term
10x current price... 20-25x possibility long term
This thread in this link could also point you to a greater insight to that which you seek, OP: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2720927.new#new Great coins exist which are often neglected because they arent hyped. For me, I also consider coin maximum supply while choosing a coin.
7217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICOs of Q1 2018 on: January 12, 2018, 05:35:32 AM
It is preemptive to tag an ICO best or worst while still in the quarter you specified. We should wait to get to the Q2 before judging the Q1. That's the only way to judge right. Anyway, we have had some good ICOs within a few days in the year 2018 and some the above poster has listed. In addition, there is the Bitcoinwhitecoin ICO that proved to be a great success and should be listed on great exchanges this month.
7218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) to the moon? on: January 11, 2018, 04:47:36 PM
Honestly, ripple has had a fair share of good news more than FUD. It should have even bypassed the two digit price range were it not for its excess coin supply in billions. Well, as for partnering with MoneyGram, I really don't see much difference that will bring to push price higher. Ripple is just good in the news not on the price chart. My expectations are not high on this.

7220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts with a small ratio- circulating supply/total supply -which to pick? on: January 10, 2018, 01:08:50 PM
OP, there is another key item that you omitted and that is the Maximum Supply which supercedes Total Supply. Most times, the Total Supply is expanded and it creates more coins in the market. Circulating supply doesn't matter much as the other two mentioned. Beyond all that, the end use case of any coin (What the coin tends to solve or tackle) is very important in picking a coin to invest in, not just the supply alone.
