7341  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.IO Terms violating on: July 12, 2018, 11:24:27 PM
Hello,

If I purchase BTC by cash from unidentified person (found at localbitcoins.com) and deposit it directly on my cex.io address, am I violating terms of use?

I already read cex.io/terms but it's not clear if there is any issue with this specific activity.

I would say that you must first create account in a trusted wallet then go to the localbicoins and buy bitcoin with some vendor that has account verified. Ask for documents or anything that proves that this person from localbitcoin really exists in real life. After you buy bitcoins, send those bitcoins to your wallet and after make deposit in your cex.io account. This way you make sure that you will not have problems in the future. Always follow these steps I told you. If one day you are accused of anything, you can show the provenance of bitcoin.

This would be a better precautionary actions to be done which if you dont like to experience such hassle or headaches later on then its wise to take this advise yet you can easily reason out and give out proofs which are valid ones rather than skipping out or not just paying up attention into very simple detail you would need.
When it comes to their terms funds should be on legal source and as said any exchange wont really have that time to make such verifications so basically it wont really matter most of the time.
7342  Economy / Gambling / Re: CoinDogs Game Review on: July 12, 2018, 10:37:38 PM
I think this type of game is quite common now and we all enjoy a bit of gambling element when it comes to building the right breed for desired speed - that racing is a betting element I enjoy. But I feel like all the market is cornered already by people who have ETH to burn. Why I don't try this is simply because I don't have enough ETH to compete, so it would seem like anyone who enters late is just playing this for fun.

This platform isnt using Ethereum. You purchase dogs, accessories etc with Litecoin.
Its obvious that he didnt bother to surf up the site and he didnt even know on what kind of cryptocurrency being used  Grin
He thought this is just the same with Kitties using ETH.

The site was fully operational but you decide to run up an ICO?
7343  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The hard Truth on: July 12, 2018, 09:55:10 PM
Throughout my trading education(self-learning) most contents I read or watch regarding crypto trading states it point blank that "about 90% of crypto traders lose their funds"in the cause of trading.

This has somehow made me lose interest in learning to trade. Does this mean, that as a new trader or even the professionals have a marginal percentage of being successful in crypto trading? if your answer is no, then I guess there is rules or ethics you abide by that has made you successful in most of your trading.

I would be glad if members could share with us some of their tips and guides they've adopted in trading. I think good submissions will be of help to most people in this forum.

Thanks in advance!
I had even read up on traditional forex and stocks trading that 95% of traders on this field would failed up and only 5% do only succeed and profitable which is really a very realistic number and this wont really be different from cryptotrading but somehow these statistics wont completely make us stop on doing trading this is why we do keep learning and trying to be profitable no matter what.
Losing money is inevitable but it can be handled if we do let ourselves to be more disciplined and do know how to handle risk and knows how to manage. Just do these things and follow on the right path and dont mind about those numbers because it would just distract you out.All you need is to focus on how to be profitable by doing trades which do have corresponding analysis.
7344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Writing better ICO whitepapers on: July 12, 2018, 07:00:37 PM
$5 or $500, at least this academy recognises that the best person to write the whitepaper is the project owner. There's no substitute really. Of all the things projects outsource, the soul of the project is one that shouldn't be. Hire someone to edit, clean, tidy up, sure. Another to create marketing one pagers and presentations out of it, of course.

But no, never to write your whitepaper. Would you outsource deep sea diving and brain surgery if that were your profession? (To use the examples on the website itself).
Definitely agree to this one which if you do have an idea into your mind about a certain project i cant think of that i would let others do write of the whitepaper which this is tending to be the backbone of your entire project and no other people would able to put out every single detail of it which is on your mind and as you have said they can either edit, check for grammar errors and any related things but this would only be their job no other than that.
7345  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-05] At What Price of Bitcoin Will the Market Panic? on: July 12, 2018, 05:24:24 PM
Sub $5000 will definitely squeeze out week hands. However, between $5000-$5500 there are several points at which support will kick in, so the likeliness of a sub $5000 visit is pretty small, and if it happens, it will only be a brief occurrence. People likely won't be able to buy it unless they pre-set their buy orders just in case, but then again, if more people do that, there is less incentive to dump the price down below the $5000 level.

In the end the only thing that matters is what is my risk and what is my reward based on my investment target.

Simple calculation based on what I have written above.

Buy at $6000 and price drops to $5000 = virtual short term loss of $1000.
Buy at $6000 and price increases to $50,000 in the coming year or two = virtual long term gain of $43,000.

Even if it drops to $3000 (won't happen, but just as an example) your virtual loss is still $3000 versus a $43,000 gain later on.

In other words, Bitcoin is a strong buy right now already.
Im not used to  believe too much on technical indicators but it had been mentioned for how many times about that strong support on 5k range but wont still guaranteed if it can hold up if theres a breakout depending on the current market condition specially with the involvement of big players then i would say going that range will shaken out weak holders and for those who can sustain such pressure that can able to withstand such stress of price decrease will not really be that easy.Even for now this is already a good price point to accumulate cheap coins.

Since this is just on developing period i guess this wont be appropriate to be posted on this gambling section but either on project development or announcement boards (correct me if im wrong).

Towards the project im little bit curious yet you had mentioned that this wont really be just like a typical game against the house.  Huh
7347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FatBTC exchange service is not acceptable on: July 12, 2018, 02:23:07 PM
Is this a Chinese exchange? they are one of the manipulators in the market since then.

Are you from China? I haven't used this exchange and will never be, I'll stay to some decentralized and well popular centralized instead of trying it.

Yeah I think its a chinese exchange . They are one of the several exchange offering DragonChain and I am not chinese as well not from china . I just withdrew my holdings and transferred it somewhere .
Good decision sometimes we do risk out to use up some exchange because our coins is being traded there thats why we do decide to proceed and good thing that you had noticed those kind of price manipulation movements. Only experienced eyes would able to detect those movements and not a newbie trader can easily spot this one. Its much wiser not to proceed or risk further on with this kind of system.
7348  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-10] China Celebrates Killing Its Bitcoin Exchanges as CNY Volume Falls on: July 10, 2018, 10:22:07 PM
Great, they've managed to make all thriving crypto related businesses move abroad, taking their money and their taxes with them. It's like saying that making a client stop doing business with you is a victory. Sure, it is, if you're all about earning less money, be my guest. There will always be others.
Falling volume doesn't mean that your citizens aren't trading Bitcoin, you bank morons. It only means that they're using other currencies, the ones that you can't block.
Im sure they are quite aware on that fact but they do just let themselves like blind ones.  Cool
They can restrict anything that they want but we do know on lots of possible ways that such restriction cant able to control out everything.

7350  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Dont use Coinbase! - I am unable to withdraw on: July 10, 2018, 09:11:03 PM
It'd be nice if OP gave an update as to whether this has been resolved or not.

Coinbase just nuked my account, so he's lucky they're even still letting him be a customer.  Hopefully his funds got unfrozen.  They're definitely not a scam exchange.  In fact I'd say they're one of the most reputable as far as problems like this eventually getting resolved in favor of the customer.  I'd probably still be using them had they not deleted my account, but oh well.  Compare them to places like Yobit and they end up looking like Goldman Sachs (lol).

When I had my Coinbase account I had to provide ID, so that's normal.  Anytime these exchanges let you deal in fiat they have to take these KYC measures, which have only gotten more stringent over the years--and I suspect that's not going to reverse.  And frankly bitcoin needs exchanges like them, since they're a legit place to buy and sell it and thereby pump liquidity into the market.

I only just say this but I am happy to update everyone on this. The actual dates etc I cannot remember but what I can say is that after waiting for several weeks I gave up on trying to withdraw any money from Coinbase. I ended up buying Bitcoin on Coinbase and transferring the Bitcoin to Localbitcoins. I remember that in the time I transferred to Localbitcoins the Bitcoins price was falling fast. I held on and it fell even more and it cost me quite a lot of money (around 25% loss)  by the time I actually managed to sell it on LocalBitcoins.

The point here was that Coinbase failed me when I tried to withdraw fiat cash to a Bank account. I had been fully verified with them for about a year and a half. They eventually got back with half baked excuses etc which did not help me get my money back. Yes Coinbase are reputable and probably an ethical exchange but their inability to deal with fiat money at the beginning of this year has put me off them forever.
Sad to hear on what happen to you where you might able to avoid that price decrease when you just able to withdraw fiat cash right of the moment but past is past and thing do happen even transfering your bitcoin into LBC doesnt make any changes but still it do results on a loss.
Every service or website doesnt or cant really provide 100% on what customers do expect anytime. There are times which they cant able to provide you upfront. For now its up to you if you would decide to use them or not and lastly better lock this topic if you dont have any concern towards this stuff.

Not to spoil out your managing proposal but as op recently said:

Thank you everyone for your replies.
We're at the idea stage, so marketing and promotion is not needed at the moment. Not yet anyway.

Hello

Myself and two others are looking to start a coin with a real use case. We are just brainstorming so far, nothing has been set. If you think you have anything to contribute or have developing experience, message me and I will send you an invite to our discord.
Hundreds of developers or people do brainstorm for a new idea or a coin which havent yet being launched into the market. When it comes to real use case, i have seen enough but if we do dig deeper there are other ideas which havent molded yet.
7352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 10, 2018, 07:08:51 PM
.. once again Lebron will be showing he can carry his team.

With the players Los Angeles Lakers acquired this free agency, Im not expecting a Cavaliers like playing style here and a carry scenario for LeBron James, it should changed. He have good role players around so I want to see Lakers as a whole man team. Anyways LeBron is now an official part of Lakers roster as he just signed it now.

I just find it awkward for Luke Walton to coached LeBron James as they are rookie mates back in NBA 2003 draft lol. Hope that no intimidation will happened.

Yeah I have the same thought. Can he make Lebron James respect him the way a coach should be.
Luke just started his coaching career and I am hoping it doesnt end with Lebron coming in.

Last season was full of young players but it will be different now. Adding guys like Stephenson and Rondo might make it worse.
He needs to get that respect.
That feeling of awkwardness cant really be avoided since they do know each other in the past but now things had changed yet Walton took the other path around on being a coach.I believe James would still respect him as a coach. We know Lebron wont really be that kind of guy that would make such thing even he does know about their level when it comes to experience. He will just go with the flow but talking about handling young players then we would find it out later on.
7353  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: We must create a petition in change.org to (Hashflare Company) on: July 10, 2018, 05:51:55 PM
There's already a few number of petitions about this in change.org and you would need huge amount of signs from people if you want to be noticed. Hence there's no need to create another one, just sign what's already there to contribute to the numbers.

While there's nothing wrong with this idea, I do not recommend it at least if you're solely relying on it. I mean it could take years (or more than that) gathering signs especially if the topic is not very popular with most people. If you have money to spend in consulting lawyers, that would great.

Next time, realize there's something wrong "before" not "after"
True, just like others what are trying to do but still this would end up to a pointless thing and as you said this wont really caught up too much attention because this isnt really a popular thing and gathering a sign wont even give any guarantee to make changes.
Since the beginning its being said for how many times that cloud mining investments wont really be ideal for long term aspects but people do still believe the other way around and now they are stressing out theirselves on how to get their money back.
7354  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Creating New Crypto Exchange - Legal Concerns on: July 09, 2018, 11:29:02 PM
What legal things i absolutely needs to get done before starting a centralized crypto exchange ?

Can't i just start it without doing any legal stuffs and market it right away ?

Assuming my crypto exchange wont get hacked or will do any shady stuff is there any problem  if i dont have a legal company ?

Also if i just say my company is based in "X" country and later register officially it will that be ok ?

You can do what you do want but expect there would be no users would definitely use up your shady exchange.
Centralized crypto exchange but doesnt comply any legalities? thats contradicting.
Even on top tier exchange do have the chance on getting hacked, i was amazed about your exchange wont get hacked. lol
7355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What need to upgrade in Bounty.cool on: July 09, 2018, 11:02:24 PM
Hi. I created portal http://bounty.cool. What you can there now:
1. See the list of actual bounty campaign with rating's of ICO, date of begin and end, day till the end, progress and type of bounty.
2. Sort list like your want.
3. Free search.

What else wood be on portal? Thank you for your time and answers.

Some things need to be added. A personal preference would be the info who is bounty manager. Another thing would be if the campaign (or what parts of it) is full. And some notes column is important again, since for example one of the campaigns is now on hold.
On hold information or column would be good or simply a current status of ICO sale column.I check out on actual bounty link ive seen its on hold but still included to the names on recently having its sale.
It would be helpful to have such information for bounty hunters to be notified on the current situation without the need on visiting out their main thread.
Description column consumes too much space,it should be utilize and putted out on what we do say on here which it would be more ideal and helpful.
7356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sheldon Adelson - The Gambling emperor featured in Forbes billionaire's list on: July 09, 2018, 10:28:24 PM
Dear members, the subject line may confuse you as you may think what significance it may hold to the gambling discussion. Let me introduce Mr. Sheldon Adelson to you.

》 CEO and Chairman of Las Vegas Sands, which is the largest casino company in USA.
》 He owns more than half of the total gambling sales in USA.
》 Billionaire no. 21 in Frobes list of 2018.

He is the only billionaire from the "Gambling Industry" who is continiously holding a spot within the top 50 billionaire's list. His current ranking is the highest he has achieved till date.

Even though this news would make no impact to your gambling profits, but I thought of giving you some reason to cheer on!

News source: https://www.forbes.com/profile/sheldon-adelson/

Getting a spot on billionaires list isnt surprising specially on gambling industry yet he do owns half of total gambling sales in US.This proves out that an owner can make profits out of this field but i bet this wont really be that easy to achieve. Business is Business where there is always a corresponding things you would need up to be done first before reaching out this certain state.
If you are an owner and dont know how to plan or extent your business you wont really move yourself up.
7357  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-09] YouTube Accused of Negligence in BitConnect Fraud Lawsuit on: July 09, 2018, 06:48:05 PM
all while YouTube was aware that BitConnect was a scam. As the old saying goes: Sometimes when you lie down with dogs, you get fleas," he wrote.

Are they really fully aware? I doubt that they dont even have idea or just neglecting it out yet there are lots of videos that do correlates with ICO investment but the fact here is that Bitconnect Fraud was way too big compared into those projects goes the same way but just on minimal amount compared to bitconnect scam.In all sort Youtube would be dragged in to the trouble since this is one of the biggest medium that do scatter out information and advertisement of such scam. I beleive that they dont even care to filter it out.
7358  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Do you have the experience of forgetting your bitcoin passwords? on: July 09, 2018, 05:23:46 PM
Are you dreaming about a nice 15-day holiday in Hawaii or the Phuket Island now that you have plenty of Bitcoins or other valuable crypto-currency in your wallet? So most people think buying into Bitcoin has, at least so far, been a good investment, even some finance experts are weighing in on whether or not to invest in the cryptocurrency, and at the end of 2017, the value of bitcoin rose to nearly $20,000 for the first time. In fact, around 4.78 million bitcoins have been lost since the cryptocurrency was created in 2009, according to related data analysis. That's almost $60 billion today. So certainly you wouldn’t want to lose your password to that wallet fund, would you? However, for the countless who have lost their wallet password making a profit seemed out of reach, while the bitcoin’s value has since fallen in price recently,it still has a high price in all currencies, and regardless of which side it fall on, one thing is for sure: it would be unfortunate to lost your bitcoin password, some unlucky people, however, have done just that.

If you really forget your password,I recommend you  can try this software:http://recovermybtc.com/,sometimes it really works after I used it to recover my ethereum wallet password.

Good luck to you. Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley
Nice introductory but wont really be enough for me to download such thing. Recovery tool? Where in the world on those things can able to recover or bruteforce wallets without having the posession of your keys.
Its none of our business if those 4+M of bitcoin is lost and those cant be accessed forever and would float to void no matter what.
As a bitcoin holder or any other coin its just normal for us to be responsible on taking care of it on not to lose out. Even you are on a vacation i cant see a reason that you would able to forget into those important credentials.
7359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy the current ICO? on: July 09, 2018, 04:46:47 PM
When the market in the uptrend of ICOs after the listing on the stock market has increased sharply, however, the ICO market is quite bleak. Currently, I do not buy ICO anymore because there are too many risks and I just joined the buy when it went to the floor, the profit may be less but the risk is reduced. How do you think about this problem?
Popularity of ICO's or hype is over since last year which for now we do see almost of those projects do dump down when it hits exchangers.Unlike before where it do minimally hit x2 or more but now it do decrease 3-5x lower based on my own experience and views. Its quite ideal for you to wait up for dumps rather than on investing either on pre-sale or main sale because even how discounted it would be you would still get negative when price hits up very low. Buying always on the floor will be good but it doesnt make or except you from risk you are still prone this is why always base on potential of the project and dont just randomly bought dumped coins.

My account from this site has just been blocked for having a second account. Most people know me from multiple betting sites.

Tonight this site has blocked my account and is holding hostage Your balance is: 452508.00605947 DogeCoin Plus 20,000 on my 2nd account.

If this is not resolved and my funds returned to me, I shall continue to alert forever anyone who plays online about this site.

Pointless!

No matter how you do make alerts on your own towards the site or lets say forever it wont really give any impact yet most gamblers do know about that common rule on most gambling site.
Multiple-accounts is strictly prohibited and anytime the house can make such jurisdictions yet you do violate. Cant do nothing but to regret because its your fault anyway.
