8241  Economy / Economics / Re: The Bear Case for Crypto on: September 07, 2017, 05:23:39 PM
Interesting article.  Thanks for sharing.

As for BTC, I think it's a slow development and it will take a long while before BTC is relevant enough to justify its current high price.

I keep struggling to justify the current price of bitcoin as an actual currency/technology.  I think most of the current price is investor premium, which could evaporate very quickly, and probably will at some point.  In any case, while I don't think bitcoin is going anywhere, even in the long term, I don't think it's going to become any kind of default global currency.  I don't see any way of definitively determining what a bitcoin should be worth, which will prevent the price from ever stabilizing for long periods of time.  Without a more stable price, its use in commerce will remain limited.

Thinking off on making it as a default currency is not really possible.I dont know why some people do think off on this way on which they do really believe that bitcoin would able to reach such state which i do see it has slim chances or doesnt have any chances at all. Bitcoin is really depending on its investors on which anytime could really perish if all would decide to leave it.
8242  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when prices are falling on: September 07, 2017, 04:30:33 PM
Hold and buy. Never ever sell while there's a dump ongoing. Panicking will make you lose profit and even make yoy below youe capital. If you've invested, especially in btc, wait for rhe dump to finish or better yet, grab the chance to buy at a lower price.
Agreed, never sell once there's a dump happening rather that the time where you buy coins and sell once you see an opening where you felt that the price went too high where a certain coin goes a dump after that.
Another thing, don't try to sell your altcoins when bitcoin is on dump because most altcoins goes into dump too when bitcoin does.
This kind of ways is somehow risky specially on altcoin because you wont know if the coin would still able to pump or not.As a trader this is really a risky thing unless if you are engaging on famous strong coins in the market then its should be fine on buying on dips but on new coins then it would be risky on buying more on dips. Sometimes bitcoin and alts are correlated to their prices.
8243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is it about WAVES? on: September 07, 2017, 03:56:32 PM
All questions will get answer on October Hard Fork.
WAVES competitor is not ETHEREUM. They focused on transactions capacity and DEX (Exchange system on WAVES platform)
October hard fork will give too much power to WAVES which will give ability to beat VISA.
Also Loyalty programs are working amazing on WAVES platform lets wait and full the tanks before october hard fork.

This is what im waiting for now on which the october hard fork. This would really be a game changing event on waves platform. This is why i do make some diversification on my portfolio and do purchase some bulks of waves coins.I know that price will shoot up. 1 month more and we would really see on where would price go.
8244  Economy / Economics / Re: how can bitcoin help the community? on: September 06, 2017, 05:58:50 PM
Bitcoin is promising currency, but somehow because of it's volatile value. How can bitcoin help the community? especially the 3rd world country.
The volatile value would really be the thing on which some people could really make money on specially on traders side and if we do talk about on 3rd world countries then it can somehow help when it comes on having a job here on bitcoin world which they can possible earn some satoshis for their hardwork and there are lots of ways actually in able to earn.If they do find this forum then for sure they would able to earn such thing, anything informations is already on here all you need is to read it.
8245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you see trading as fun and games? on: September 06, 2017, 05:32:03 PM
I think the term should be "enjoyment". And it you love and enjoy it, then success will come naturally. We will not put pressure in yourself to perform better in and out. And there will not a time that you consistently making good profit because you enjoy it and you are not frustrated and disappointed in trading. This is like going to work everyday, if you don't like the people around you and not enjoying going in everyday, you will not be productive and should move out already. As long as you enjoy the ride in trading, you will be fine.

"The law of work seems unfair, but nothing can change it; the more enjoyment you get out of your work, the more money you will make.” — Mark Twain
It is not a bad thing to deal with trading as we could enjoy having trading as apart of earning. It could bring a lot of joy to a certain person if trading could give them an opportunity to earn to have a good profit for the future. So settling and dealing trading while having fun is actually a good point to consider for you do convey the dealing of being stress.
Yes, you are relieving stress specially when you do see that you earn profits but lets talk about on the other side which is lossing? for sure you would really feel more stress on that and it cant really be avoided because not anytime we can make profitable trades which we should really be ready on this stuff and mold the feeling or emotions that we should treat it normally and should enjoy the rest of the journey of your trading career.
8246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum wallet- scam alert. on: September 06, 2017, 05:11:56 PM
thank you sir this is a great information and should be disseminated to minimize any phishing action, because the end of this many cases of cases caused by phishing, many people who lose money reach billions and it is not one person but many people, so be careful in entering the address correctly because that is the key of all
If you are not alert and aware on the possible scams around then for sure you would really fall on this one.As a newbie you would really believe that this is an original link from the legit myetherwallet but if you do try to look it back you would really notice the difference which means we should really be keen on any links we do click and not easily on entering our sensitive informations regarding on our wallet.
8247  Economy / Economics / Re: China will become Super Power ? on: September 06, 2017, 03:55:02 PM
They already are an economic superpower, and soon will be a military too (with the amount of $$$ invested in hardware already).
As to being a key diplomatic power and influencer in world affairs...aka: a leader.....well..that's a different story.
But they will certainly be a "local" superpower with a strong regional focus. The issue I see is that more and more they seem to be closing down to the rest of the world, and that is never good for prosperity and economic growth...leading to bubbles, capital outflows, social imbalances, etc.
Even we are not talking into the crypto side China is already considered as a Super power country seeing on their ranking on global economy we can clearly see that they do really have the power. They can influence things if they do want to,and talking about defense system they do have a strong  force which any country would hardly to beat it.Now lets talk on crypto side, knowing that they have the biggest influence when it comes on mining hardware on bitcoin.
8248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Alternative for Bounty Payments on: September 01, 2017, 12:25:25 PM
I think that's no problem, LTC is legit coin.
I see there's not yet LTC payment for the campaign reward in this forum.

Mostly campaign which offer ETH and token as reward is because it's in the same platform, it's means the token based on ETH system and mostly related to ICO.
This is the reasons on which most altcoin in the market now is using ETH-platform or even waves platform. I havent see any ICO or bounty campaigns which do make use of LTC this is why we cant really see this coin to be used as a payment and we cant do anything about it since those projects have chosen to use ETH based than on LTC.
8249  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: August 31, 2017, 03:56:02 PM
I just always wonder if those billionaires still invest in btc. Do they even know btc exist?
Yes many of them invest on bitcoin you know who are one of example? ,.., bill gates we all know that bill gates is one of the richest man in the world, bill gates have many saying about bitcoins he invested on it, billionaires know btc.
Theres no surprise that billionaires would really jump on this thing since they are not left behind on all trending things specially on the things that talks about money and knowing bitcoin isnt an exception on that. Bitcoin is an investment which means its money too. They are not blind not to know this things. Bill gates is one of them and this is great that they are now tending to jump on bitcoin boat.
8250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: August 31, 2017, 03:00:39 PM
I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL?

How do you think about the price of ETH end of this year.

I lost just small amount (5 ETH) because i bought the highest price.

I don`t know I hold or SELL.

Give me your opinion.

What price did you bought those ETH coins? If its on lower price then better to hold it of but if you do like to diversify then cashout half of it then invest on coins which do have potential and dont forget to put on Bitcoin too knowing price will really sore up on this year even on breaking the 5k usd price point but holding purely on ETH isnt a bad idea.
8251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin thieves ? on: August 31, 2017, 12:05:06 PM
So your'e saying that if i keep my coins back'd up in a wallet i cant get hack'd ?
Having a back-up do only give the access in your wallet when you do need. Like private keys or wallet.dat file. You can import it anytime if you do have these things on a certain wallet and you can access it once again this is why we should not easily give these keys or letting show on public. On the link above its just a basic stealing or hacking of your coins on an exchange wallet. This is why when we are using web wallets we should always set 2fa and dont store huge amounts on those kind of wallets.

That is pretty sure the right thing to do when you are using a web wallet because it is link in the internet and hackers can surely manipulate it, bitcoin is surely secure but with the skills and level of knowledge this kind of people have they can surely manipulate anything in the world wide web and the only secure option you can do is with the private wallet with your own private key.
Private keys should really be kept on a private place on where no one anyone knows about that.If using web wallet then always put up 2fa identification because having this hackers wont really easily bruteforce it no matter what. Skill of them might be good but they have their own limit regarding on their capabilities and we should really think off that always. There are lots of safety measures for us to avoid such loss of our precious bitcoin.

8253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I need your advice, please on: August 30, 2017, 12:12:29 PM
Hello,

I want to make a new portofolio. I have 10k EUR and I don't know what crypto to get in my portofolio. I want only altcoins, but I want a rise with minimum 2x until December.
What do you think?

Thanks,
Adrian
If you do like to invest on altcoin world then search up for potential good project which is on ICO state as of now. Do your own research and dont rush up on putting your money because there are lots of ICO as of now which is just useless or dont have potential at all but finding them wont really be an easy task. 2x is possible and even more if you hit the right project if not then expect those 10k of yours would lose some percentage.
8254  Economy / Economics / Re: Some things to consider before starting a business on: August 30, 2017, 07:14:20 AM
There are a lot of things to consider, you should consider the cost of operation, the profitability, the
evergreeness of the business(ability to generate money in all kinds of situation) and also you should consider marketing as this goes a long way
Yes, these are few of the things that one should consider before starting any business. You need to even consider your target audience and understand their psyche. You should know what your customers need and what other competitive brands are providing to them. Besides you should have good analysis of the market.
It's hard to start a business especially if it's not our forte, sometimes having knowledge is not enough, or having money only is not enough too. We both need it with proper analysis, weighing the circumstances and the possibilities. Having business is like having an ICO too. We need to convince people to trust us so we should do great work with passion.
You are right, those things wont really be enough specially if we dont really have the passion on this kind of venture but theres still possibility that you would still able cope up with that gap and might able to ride well along the way. Building business or starting it wont really be an easy thing since there are lots of things to consider first even if you do have the money and the knowledge it wont really be sufficient enough but somehow an advantage compared to those people who really start on 0 knowledge.
8255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: August 29, 2017, 01:37:01 PM
Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started.  It was the pioneer in its field.  In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B.   Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.

After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B.  Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?

What do you think?  Please provide your reason(s) to support your view.
Its really possible since theres nothing on this world that cant be replaced and theres no permanent spot. Anytime it can really be replaced by anything which is more better and more updated than bitcoin but for now i see that it would be takes years for bitcoin to be replaced on its spot considering that its the father of all cryptos. Kicking it to its place would be somehow a tough job for alts and surely would takes time.
8256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Whats going on with NEO?? on: August 29, 2017, 12:16:28 PM
Any idea why neo just went down so much? Been on the decrease but this dip is just insane
Its just simple and theres nothing to be surprised off and i do really expect this thing to happen on NEO sooner. If theres a pump then next there would really be a dump since whales or investors do really have profit taking boundary together with the issues which posted above on which China do make a prohibitions or strict on ICO which seems do really make an effect.
8257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: August 29, 2017, 10:52:39 AM
In a game of chance, you can never play with other people's money, because it's very risky and if you lose, you still have to return the money. It is better to play on a demo account.

It is tremendously danger to gamble with other people's money, if you lost the money you need to return the money immediately which you dont have, and for huge amount, it can lead to a criminal thing, if you dont have the money it is better for you to not gambling, only gamble what you can afford to lose
I wouldn't do that because it's too risky, I think some are doing it because they are desperate enough to win back their loses and they do not think of the risk of losing anymore. As much as possible I don't want to be in that situation where I need to spend other person's money just to gamble.
When we lose then just simply stop, that will make you a real man since you know how to accept defeat in gambling.

Its really hard to get out on that kind of situation. Been there though, but I was able to return the money and I don't what that feeling again. That's why I stop borrowing someone else money just for the sake of gambling. Situations like this put someone life as risk, what if you person insisted that you pay him in time and you don't have money? What do you think will happen to you?

I advise everyone not to do this because I have side, its not really a good experience for me and I would risk everything now. That's why I have controlled my gambling now and don't play as much as I want to. No borrowed money for me just to play.
I do feel or experience the same thing you do mention here on which i did try to borrow others money just to play gambling and the pressure within you is really strong since you do know and you do mind that its not your money and you should pay the debts later on this is why you would really be desperate on winning. Luckily i have won and did able to repay it in no time but that would be the last and wont plan to do it again.
8258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price by December? on: August 28, 2017, 12:10:27 PM
By watching the past rallies and the price corrections, I believe about $10k seems a realistic figure right now, but as the crypto sphere is pretty unpredictable so anything can happen. But it will be fun to watch what happens.
Bitcoin doesnt really stop to amaze us everytime specially when it reaches a new ATH unexpectedly which i do really love to see on upcoming years or months on bitcoin.$10k is realistic but we should think first or base on lower amounts for this year and i would be satisfied even bitcoin price hits up on 5k price point and the higher the better.
8259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you decide when it's time to sell? on: August 28, 2017, 10:42:57 AM
Right now I have not thought about selling some of the coins I have,
maybe later if I have a really urgent need I will sell some of the coins.
because in my opinion there is still a chance for the possibility of increasing the price towards the end of this year.
Hodling is good and we should really sell our coins if it did reach above ICO price because most likely those holders of those coins would really sell off on those price point and then buyback again when the price is cheap again. Deciding on when to sell is quiet hard since we would really like for the price to increase even more later on to make more profits but there are instances on which we do really need money and we would really need to withdraw those earnings.
8260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO for August on: August 28, 2017, 10:08:16 AM
Please name 1 ICO to buy in August that can be a gem later?
Gem later? Then Go for Bowhead ICO. You can see it here https://tokens.bowheadhealth.com/  . I do really believe on its potential since its focusing mainly on health which we cant see on other previous ICO or projects. We do know that health is important and this kind of innovation would really make impact later on.

Bowhead ICO is one of the few I am investing. I do trust their project and the team behind. For this August, I also appreciated Opus. Their ICO was finished last 24th of August. I am also eyeing Easymine and Gravio ICOs. I hope I am right in my decisions.
You are not wrong on investing on bowhead ICO. Yes they do really have a good project and a good dev team with actual product. Same as yours im keeping an eye on easymine too because i do able to see that those projects would really have the potential to be used later on by most people and hoping would really make the good decision so that we can able to make profits.
